Polcreek Farmhouse is a splendid typically Cornish 17th cent.
family house, in a tranquil setting at the end of a lane, 1¼ miles from Veryan.
It is very private, only the occasional farmer herding sheep passes by.
This is a wonderful place for a carefree large family gathering, or group of friends.
The big living room has an open fire with the original slate and the equally big dining room has a sensible slate floor, through to the farmhouse-style kitchen with breakfast table and stools; there is also a ground floor WC and, ten paces from the kitchen door, a shower-room – ideal for sandy bodies.
Head upstairs to the four bedrooms – a king-size double and three twin rooms – lovely views from up here, but mind that low lintel on the landing!
Also, a family bathroom.
A peaceful family-friendly place in a great position for enjoying the lovely coastline.
There is a small front garden and ½ acre of mown grassy space with rustic table and chairs.
Carne and Pendower beaches are a mile away (the two merge at low-tide to give a mile of sand).
Trust land surrounds the house to a mile radius.
If you can drag yourself away nearby St.Mawes and Mevagissey are worth a visit, along with the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
Four bedrooms: 1x king-size double, 3 x twin. Sitting room with open fire, dining room, fitted kitchen and utility room. Bathroom suite with walk-in shower. Ground floor basin and WC. External shower-room with shower, basin and WC.

Veryan is a picturesque village located on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. This historic village is home to the famous Round Houses built in the 19th Century and The New Inn, a traditional 16th Century Cornish Inn, which provides quality fine food and drink. Nearby is The Roseland Heritage coast and several safe, sandy beaches. The coastal path winds its way over the cliffs and down among the coves through some of the UK’s most spectacular scenery. Even the wilder north coast with its rolling surf is just 40 minutes' by car.
Note: Last 100 yards of private access track is rough.
