The Stones

We opted for the Stones due to the location, the incredible views and pictures on the website.

Unfortunately only the first two delivered. The property is extremely tired and in need of money spent. The shower attachment on the bath doesnt work (a nightmare if you have a small child who cant use the regular shower), the curtains in the second bedroom are hanging on by a thread and the kitchen hob is so old the markings are long gone, to name a few. We also found an old pair of gents undies hanging up in the wardrobe on arrival (granted this is the fault of the cleaning crew) and every cupboard/drawer is filled with old xmas decorations, light bulbs and tins of paint. On the plus side the parking space just about fit my Q7 so if you have a big car, then at least there's that. Sufficed to say we won't be staying here again.

Very clean and tidy and lovely treats waiting for us on arrival. Will definitely have to return (John & Emily).

We had a wonderful holiday in Carbis Bay - the apartment was comfortable, beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed for our stay.

We were a stones throw from the beach and the train station as well as the coastal walking paths. The best part was the incredible view of the bay - couldn't get enough of it! We would love to return again one day. Thankyou

If you’re wondering whether to click “book now” for Carbis Bay — do it!

You won’t be disappointed. The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm, and beautifully styled, with the most stunning view. The window seat with binoculars was such a thoughtful touch — we loved watching seals near the shore and birds diving into the sea each morning. The location was perfect too, with just a 4-minute train ride into St Ives for just over £1. Thank you for a lovely stay — it was simply perfect!

If I’m being honest, the only good thing about our stay was the view.

When we first arrived, it wasn’t clear where to park at all. We spent half an hour on the phone trying to figure it out, the parking is across the road from the apartment, which is not made clear in the instructions. When we entered the property, the bath had a hair in it, the plug was broken, and so was the toilet seat. These are issues that should have been identified and resolved before arrival. The hot water didn’t seem to last long, and the pressure from the taps and shower wasn’t great. We also found the bin under the sink to be extremely dirty, and several cups, mugs and other items were not properly clean. The floor under the dining table was dirty as well. We contacted the cleaner, who came to address the issues after we sent photos, but it was not a great experience. A clean apartment is the bare minimum. It was also unclear how to use several appliances. Although we found instructions, they were mixed in with a very large amount of old paperwork dating back many years, which made it difficult to locate the correct information. Later in the stay, something fell under the coffee table and we discovered food debris that was not from us. The bed had a mattress topper that didn’t fit properly, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Overall, we were really disappointed, especially considering the apartment had such good reviews.

The views are absolutely gorgeous and the flat is very comfortable and well equipped. The two double bedrooms are both spacious with very comfy beds, and the living room with the large bay window is such a nice place to sit and look out to sea. The location is brilliant as well. It’s just a short walk down to Carbis Bay beach and the coast path, and only a quick trip into St Ives, so it’s a perfect base for exploring the area while still feeling a little quieter. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal break with beautiful sea views.

Excellent, well laid out accommodation with amazing views from living area.

Very well appointed kitchenette and bathroom with separate shower and bath. Car parking space across the road. A few steps for the less mobile up to the apartment. We were lucky enough to enjoy mostly fine, sunny weather during our stay and would definitely love to return. So central for rail transport to St Ives and Penzance. Kitchen was missing an egg whisk and toaster could probably do with upgrading. Overall, this was a great place to stay, thank you to the owners for sharing their lovely property.

We loved the apartment and the views were amazing.

The 2 rugs in the corridor and 1 in the main bedroom are a trip hazard . We both tripped up on them. A second bedside light in the main bedroom is needed and also a blackout blind as there is so much light coming in . I’m allergic to the scented candles so we had to put them all in the second bedroom . A chair in the bedroom would also be useful .

Magnificent views.

Very comfortable and spacious. Great to have dedicated parking and a washing machine and dryer. Lovely to have a few snacks and apple juice on arrival.
