    Everything has been carefully thought of in terms of fixtures and fittings. The view is stunning and only 3 mins on the train to St Ives only a few mins walk from the apartment.

  • "The best place I ever stayed in on Sykes website."

    The view is out of this world, you can see as far as the eye can see. The train station is so handy too.

  • "We rented Mariners Bay for a week."

    Its a well presented, spacious apartment with good facilities and a classy feel to it, on the top left of the apartment building looking from the front and on an elevated location on Headland Road overlooking Carbis Bay. It's obvious that the owners have paid a lot of attention to detail to ensure comfort. The view from the balcony is stunning and you could spend all day up there. The apartments are situated a stones throw from the train station which connect to St Ives and Hale, 4-5 mins from the beach and is also right above the coastal path, so logisitcs are a breeze with some great walks right out of the door. My only criticism is that the balcony shares a low gate with the apartment to its right. This limits the appeal of the balcony and does compromise privacy. Its something the owners should prioritise. If its there for fire safety reasons, then perhpas they can consider installing a taller gate. Just a thought, but otherwise an absolutely brilliant stay and highly recommended.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay the apartment was spotlessly clean."

    Bed linen was lovely and the towels are nice quality. Was so nice to have a tea/coffee when we arrived after a long journey! My son was chuffed with the chocolate in the fridge! We will return and probably take the smaller car only because the parking space is tight for a big car. Sea view is lovely! Would have appreciated more toilet roll and possibly a cotton sheet under the duvet so when got too hot can throw duvet off.

  • "We loved the property, the only issue was the noisy water pump, we have this at home, but it only drives the shower."

    In the apartment it is linked to all cold water operations, so flushing the toilet at night triggers the pump, ideally this would be a normal pressure fill.

  • "Lovely property with a fantastic view and close to public transport."

    Apartment was well equipped with all I needed and a comfortable bed, cooking facilities etc. I had breakfast and tea on the balcony most days. I noticed a few thoughtful touches like chocolate buttons and practical things like a spare umbrella and walking poles in case needed for the Cornish coastline. I arrived by train and was able to see the property from the station car park which was helpful with my luggage. Train to St Ives takes 4 mins and goes every half hour and even if you have a car much better than driving on the narrow streets. Top tip is to cross the car park when you get to St Ives and follow the route above the beach to the harbour to cut out a hill. Back in Carbis Bay there is a regular bus service all over Cornwall from main road about 8 mins walk from the apartment. Note that the whole St Ives and Carbis Bay area is built on a steep hill but the access to the apartment up some covered steps compares favourably with many in the area. I advance booked a shopping delivery from Tesco and the delivery man kindly carried it to the apartment for me so I was all set for the week.

  • "Lovely apartment, great position and views."

    Well equipped... Couple of things that would have been good to know ... Parking space is very tight for a larger car, between the angle, low wall and tap it was too tight for my car ( didn't risk it ) - a VW Touareg. Luckily as it was out of season, i managed to park on the road outside Karenza court. I'm coming back in July with my daughter in law - we'll come in her car !! Wish i'd known the hot water is on the immersion, not on a timer. After first tepid shower i investigated and realised situation. Would have been nice to know !! I was travelling alone this time, so only affected me. Wouldn't have been good if there were more of us.

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.

Important Heating System Guidelines:
A bespoke high-Kw heating system is installed at the property, designed to effectively heat individual rooms within 15 minutes of being turned on. To promote energy conservation and reduce heating costs, we kindly ask that you:
Turn off the heating or keep the temperature below 18°C when it is not needed.
Only activate the heating when required to ensure comfort.
Please note that the heating system for the property is regularly monitored by the owner and can be adjusted as necessary when not in use.

Parking Dimensions - height 210cm, width 230cm and length 510cm.

Please note that scaffolding will be erected on the front (sea side) of the Gwel Marten building complex from 9 November 2026. The duration of the scaffolding works is not yet known, however, this notice will be updated once further details become available.
