Excellent facilities.

Modern, clean and tidy with all the kitchen equipment you will ever need. Good location. Enough space for two people. Very pleased overall.

Lovely apartment with panoramic views across the bay, a well-stocked kitchen and a very comfortable bed.

The downside is the steps you have to go down and then back up again, which may be difficult for some guests. The allocated parking space was also quite small, and I was unable to fully open my car door, so I parked on the street opposite.

The property was as listed along with being clean and with amazing views overlooking Carbisbay beach & St Ives beach in the distance.

It’s probably worth listing that the property does have an iron & ironing board which comes in handy

Wow what a gem in plain sight.

Views over the bay are spectacular day or night and the apartment is first class. Ideal location for St Ives (3 min train ride) and also for a base for touring the SW tip of Cornwall. Had an amazing week and lucky with the weather but very windy (off the sea) so the balcony at the back of the property was ideal as it’s sheltered and a wonderful sun trap. Thank you for the welcome pack it was most appreciated.

Very beautiful and stylish apartment.

The views of the sea and coastline are just spectacular - and having such large windows plus a balcony means you really get the best of the view. The apartment was very clean, and the kitchen well-stocked. They left a lovely welcome hamper of snacks, fresh apple juice and milk. The bed is comfortable and there's plenty wardrobe and storage space. And it's a great spot for walking, and visiting the sights of Cornwall. Pretty garden, and you can sit out and look at the view. The only small downsides are that the parking spots are narrow, and there is some noise from the apartments above and below (inevitably) - but neither detracted from our enjoyment. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the apartment!

We love staying at Pegalos it is one of our most favourites in Carbis Bay which we visit three times a year the view is tremendous , the art and decor is excellent which makes us feel right at home thanks to the owners for letting us stay in such a amazing property !

Fantastic apartment with an amazing view everything we needed the only thing was a light is needed on the outside stairs to the apartment as it was very dark when coming back at night .

We travel extensively around the world and this is the only time we have ever returned to the same accommodation so that in itself is our recommendation!

! From start to finish Pelagos is a lovely apartment. A special mention must go to the lady cleaner, who we made acquaintance with, who cleaned the apartment to a very high standard, not only was the accommodation spotless but all equipment and utensils were immaculate. The view of the bay from the lounge picture window is one of the best views you can ask for. Such was the apartment fitted out that we never ate out once and stayed and cooked each evening just to enjoy the view whilst eating. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pelagos at all. There has to be a downside, or two, and the only ones we can comment on is that the parking space allocated to Pelagos is extremely tight, I have a mid range car and found it to be a squeeze when the two adjoining spaces are being utilised. There is a little noise from the apartment above and for the second time we have stayed here there were builders working next door who started quite early!

We just spent the most amazing week here.

The apartment is wonderful & we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The train station is only a few minutes walk from the apartment & is only 3 minutes to St Ives & the coastal walk only took us 30 minutes. We watched a pool of seals swimming out of the most amazing window. Our only slight issue is the shower goes hot & cold so it’s not ideal but on the plus side the bath is blissful after a day of walking. The most perfect, idillic & clean accommodation we have ever stayed in. Also the mattress is to die for

This was the third time we have stayed in Pelagos and our next visit will be March 2026 we love the property the amenities and decor it being Barbra Hepworth and Ben Nicholson inspired!

This apartment is one of the best we've stayed in.

Easy to get to, parking outside. Everything needed for a stay, bed comfortable and a note to the cleaners, this place was spotless! Had an issue whilst staying and sorted within hours with excellent customer service. Easy walk to train station to get around , we didn’t use car once but was out everyday. Right on SW coastal path too. Few minutes walk further is Carbis bay hotel with restaurants and bars, the walk back up the hill is steep but for beach (and beach bar) it's worth it! Garden beautiful, view stunning! If you can plan a stay here, do!! To the owners, your neighbours upstairs were wonderful, sorting out a parking spot for us while the road works were being carried out. Certainly saved a lot of stress as most of the road was coned off for parking all week.

We were very impressed by the apartment, it was spotless and very well equipped, the view across the bay form the lounge were superb, we shall be back and have already recommended it to friends.

Excellent location, immaculately clean and well equipped, with everything you could need, but oh the view overlooking Carbis Bay and beyond to St Ives was second to none.

Spent hours soaking up the scenery. Lovely walks along the coastal path at the end of the garden to top it off. We had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend Pelagos.

Property was immaculate had everything we needed.

Lovely views of carbis bay and St ives. Lovely garden to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Only a short walk into carbis bay beach. Some beautiful restaurant nearby. The only downside was not much room to park car outside property. And building work was being carried out on the adjoining property...

All I would say is that it's on a very steep hill to the beach and bars and restaurants are a train ride away

Pelagos was amazing!

Thank you so much to the owners for sharing this special place. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. The views across Carbis Bay and St Ives were beautiful, and helped us to have a relaxed and pleasant stay. We hope to stay at the property again in the future.

A lovely apartment with gorgeous views, and every comfort provided for.

Also a pretty garden to relax in. This is the first time we have stayed in a self catering apartment. What happens about the £100 good housekeeping bond? Is that now refunded?

Think it was maybe the owner who live in apartment four.

There parking was horrendous making it difficult for the 3 other apartment users to park we had to climb in through the passenger side to gain access. Also the dog in that apartment was barking a lot. The apartment was great but occupants in apart for were awful

A lovely place with a stunning view of Carbis Bay beach and St Ives (amazing to watch sunset over the latter).

Clean, comfortable, quiet and with all necessary amenities; only a short walk to train station and to the beach at Carbis Bay. Also a lovely coastal walk to both St Ives and to Porthkidney beach. Worth saying that whilst only a small thing, was a bit disappointed that the shower had little power and that the balcony overlooking Carbis Bay whilst having an amazing view, got little sunshine due to the building next door jutting out. On the whole, a lovely, relaxing stay at the property which offers great access to local beaches whether walking or by train/car.

Most beautiful accommodation that provided a wonderful base with excellent level of comfort and amenities.

Location perfect. A couple of suggestions: 1) we never managed to get more than a tepid bath - even when first use of hot water for the day. Fortunately, the electric shower worked perfectly. 2) The sign advertising the property and contact details on the outside of the gate to the garden on the costal walk side, is really grubby and doesn’t reflect the immaculate accommodation and garden beyond it- only mentioned as this is likely to put people off booking as it’s not a great ‘first impression’.

00 every morning is not good, I know you have no control over this but if I was told when I booked I wouldn’t have booked

Parking is extremely tight if all four bays are being used.

This was our second visit to Pelagos and it was another excellent stay thanks for the outstanding quality of the apartment and it’s decor we love the fact it was Barbara Hepworth’s house and the art works in the property link with her and her husband Ben Nicholson it really is a great place to stay and to that fact we are returning again in October that’s how much we like it .

May I add a great thank you to the Carbis Bay Holidays team and the owners Jane & Pete for the birthday wishes and cards it was greatly appreciated and a great surprise ! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic view and location

Unfortunately, we had to leave early for medical reasons after only one night.

We agree with others regarding the view and the facilities provided. However we would take exception regarding two issues one with the poor comfort of the seating in the lounge area and the other was the poor comfort of the bed. We didn’t feel either matched the quality and standard that we’ve experienced at other Sykes cottages managed properties. Perhaps it might be time to consider replacing both?

The apartment was amazing.

The view was spectacular. The settees were not comfortable to sit on and the downside was the parking. Cars to close together unable to get in and out had to drop passenger off before driving in space then the driver had to squeeze out. I had to hold the door for him to get out just to ensure the car next to us was not touched. The stay itself was incredible.

This was a lovely property and extremely clean.

The sea views were fantastic and I would never tire of looking at those. The only downside for us was the noise from the upstairs apartment, very often late at night and into the early hours of the morning, which at times kept us awake.

Stunning views in a beautiful Carbis bay. A quieter side of St Ives but easy to walk in or catch the train be there in minutes. Coast line is stunning

Pelagos is a perfect place to stay in Carbis Bay.

A lovely apartment with fantastic view of the bay. Dirct access to the coast path and 5 minutes walk to the train station and only couple more to the beach which is the best we have been to in the UK.

Excellent stay.

Everything you need and more. Very high spec. Building work next door made no difference at all to our enjoyment. Couple of the other apartments were noisy but that’s just bad luck on our part. Incredible views and an ideal base for so many fabulous days out.

Wow just wow!

We cannot fault Pelagos. Everything was of a very high standard and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The View from the window is a forever changing picture you never tire of looking at. The location is perfect for local places as well as other parts of Cornwall. It is truly an amazing place to stay and we cannot recommend high enough.

The only thing we could fault was the mattress. Personally we thing the mattress could do with upgrading to match the high quality of the rest of the apartment. Would we stay here again?? YES

Pelagos is an amazing apartment!

The moment you enter and the magnificent view of Carbis bay beach hits you from the lounge picture window you just know you’ll enjoy your stay! Pelagos is a very luxurious apartment, subtly and stylishly decorated in very neutral colours. There is every appliance you need to have a stress free holiday! We stayed for Christmas week and the heating which is controlled independently for each room was simple to use and made it very cosy and snug! The hosts were very hospitable and provided us with tea, coffee, milk, condiments and a lovely Cornish fruit juice! A lovely touch as it was Christmas week was that there were some simple and stylish decorations in place when we arrived. But!! the icing on the cake was that view!! Looking out of that lovely picture window onto Carbis bay and beyond to St. Ives is wonderful.

Our second visit to Pelagos and again the apartment was really lovely.

Those views are just stunning. Everywhere was exceptionally clean and we have never been in an apartment so well equipped. We were warned before hand about the building work being done next door so was prepared to stay out of the apartment most of the day. Sadly for us it was the noise that came from within the building that spoilt it for us. Very heavy foot steps and loud noises very late at night and early in the morning. Also very clear loud talking and banging of doors/drawers late at night and early mornings. We are tolerant people and would accept these sounds during reasonable hours but the other occupants didn't seem to have much consideration. So for us this was not the best week. We went home feeling really tired through lack of sleep. Saying all this I don.t want to take away how really nice Pelagos as aparment is.

A wonderful, well equipped, spotlessly clean apartment with fantastic views across Carbis Bay to St Ives.

A five minute walk to the lovely beach and the train station which meant we didn’t have to use our car. We loved our week here.

Our 5th visit to Pelegos!

A beautiful, well furnished apartment with a fabulous view. We love it there - even if it rains there is always something to look at out to sea. Once again our thanks to Julie Hadfield for her outstanding housekeeping.

Loved this apartment, spotlessly clean, lovely decor and amazing views.

This is the third apartment we’ve stayed in in Carbis this year, all of an excellent standard but the view from this one was the most spectacular. Would like a rail to the top of stairs and perhaps a grab rail in the bath but apart from that an excellent stay.

Had a wonderful stay but as people in their 70's and my husband having mobility issues, a handrail on the stairs would have been of great benefit as they are very steep and lots of them!

The apartment was beautiful, very well equipped with everything you need.

The most amazing views and fabulous walks on the coastal paths very close to the property. Wonderful places to eat in the Carbis Bay Estate and a couple of other eateries which were good too. Only problem we had which is really out of owners control is the tight parking especially with apartment no 4 who owned and lived in his apartment. We never used the car after initially parking under his strict instruction so he could get in and out without damaging either vehicle, we didn’t want to get into any disagreements. Unfortunately this would stop us using this beautiful apartment again

Excellent apartment with lovely views.

Very clean and standard of furnishing and fixtures and fittings second to none. Only gripes are the noise from the apartment above, you can hear every footstep and the parking. If all four apartments are occupied good luck parking if you value your car. With cars parked in 1,2 and 4 I was unable to park so had to leave it on the road. I think the description should say parking space for a 'small car' then perhaps parking would be possible.

Excellent views: one of the best you can have on the coast - all bay of Carbis Bay, trainline to St Ives, St Ives harbour, Godrevy lighthouse and Hayle dunes, even dolphins in the sea below.

Wonderful and carefully maintained subtropical garden. Extremely well equipped flat - all fittings to a very high standard. Very nicely styled, in line with modernism - a lot of thinking went into this. Two small issues: water was either hot or cold, mixing in kitchen and bath tub seemed not to work well; noise insulation in building is a bit of an issue - you can hear steps someone makes on the top floor. But overall superb holiday flat, which we fully enjoyed!

We’ve stayed at Carbis Bay on 3 separate occasions and Pelagos tops the list of accommodation.

Location, perfect! View, amazing! Facilities, everything catered for and you’ve thought of everything. We will definitely try to book Pelagos first when we next visit. Thank you for having us.

Fantastically positioned apartment.

Stunning views, and all the essential facilities. The listing details could do with updating .. Electric heating not Gas , No DVD collection. Apartment was exceptionally clean which is comforting at this time. Only gripe is we didn’t have electricity till following morning & we arrived as it was getting dark. I’m sure there’s a means by which we could have been notified as been off since early hours of previous morning. It would have been good to have been prepared as we had to go out to get candles food etc. Just one very low powered torch in property. Aside from that all good.

Very clean and comfortable, and carefully decorated, reflecting the artistic legacy of the famous previous occupants!

The view is fabulous and even though it was November, we appreciated the garden and the planting which is done very well. The only picky thing is that parking is a bit tight when all the apartments are occupied.

We were delighted with every aspect of our stay.

Amazing location with stunning views, great access to SW Coast path and train station, we hardly used the car. Beautifully managed garden, and everything you could possibly need was provided for in the apartment. I'm pretty sure we'll be booking again...... Thank you!

The apartment is 5 star plus and extremely clean .

Which has to do with the house keeper Julie Hadfield especially with COVID ever thing first class. The views are out of this world we have stopped in Carbis bay for many years and are one of the best views. We have booked with carbis bay holidays many times and it has know been taken over by Sykes holidays have to say i am concerned that standards will not be the same. If I may I would like to make 2 suggestion's a hand rail up the main stairs as you turn to the flat ,when you are carrying things up and down you have to hold onto the wall. The other is a full sized ironing board when you are staying for 2 weeks you need to iron things the little one that goes on the table is not sufficient.

The apartment is beautiful, well decorated, very clean and with all mod cons, but the Piece de Resistance is the absolutely amazing view from the lounge windows looking over Carbis Bay and as far as St Ives Bay.

We had 2 minor negatives: 1, The pressure on the hot water was extremely inadequate and there was never enough hot water to fill a bath which was strange considering the size of the tank - showering was fine as this was electric. 2, There are 4 car parking spaces (1 for each apartment) but these are extremely tight, if we had fully pulled into our space then we would not have been able to get in or out of the car. There is available parking on the roadside but this was always full with day trippers and users from other hotels. Regardless of these 2 negative remarks we would return to Pelagos Apartment 3.

Pelagos apartment catered for our every need, it was perfectly located with the train station within 5 minutes walk which we made good use of and the sea view is stunning.

The small details such as hand wash, cling film, silver foil and toiletries always help out along with a selection of condiments. The apartment was spotless with all mod cons, fluffy towels, power shower and a luxury feel to the place. The south west coastal path is at the bottom of the pretty garden and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the popular local fish and chip shop.

Our third visit to Pelagos and still finding new things to do. This time we enjoyed the walk from Sennen Cove beyond Lands such a beautiful walk and scenery. Admired dolphins from the towens beach and the wonderful sunsets from Gwitihan beach. Thank you.

Our second visit to Carbis Bay but our first to this apartment, such a wonderful view to greet you each day and such a relaxing and clean environment, wishing we had booked a longer stay! And WOW what a fabulous sunset, we will never forget. The Mermaids Fish restaurant was well worth dining at but must book in advanced, its very busy. Loved Barbara Hepworth gardens! Hope to re-visit soon.

We’ve enjoyed our week from the snow to the brilliant sunshine. Variety is the spirt of life.

This has been our first visit to Cornwall, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean and with a view that is just stunning. The walk from Godrevy to Hell’s Mouth is lovely and we were lucky enough to see the seals at Mullion Cove. We also saw dolphins near to the coast guard looking out in St Ives. The National Trust property Godolphin made for an enjoyable afternoon, we good views from the top of the hill. The train to St Ives is brilliant but make sure it stops at Carbis Bay! Thank you for the welcome pack it was good to start out holiday with a cream tea!

A really fantastic night was had at the Minack Theatre, Porth Curno for 'The last night of the Proms' which was sensational !! Something we will all remember, and an evening there should not be missed. Not forgetting the very handy train service to St. Ives. Overall a truly memorable holiday. The view from the picture window overlooking the changing colour of the ocean and the view of St Ives is superb. The flat itself was great it contained everything we needed and more. Everything went to plan, down to all the administration, the arrival and warm welcome and the fab welcome pack including Cornish cream tea. We did walks along the costal paths from the bottom of the garden with stunning coves in both directions. St Ives itself has a really great feel about the place and is good to just meander around all the local arty shops etc. We had some of the most fantastic gastronomic food in the area which was a real surprise! The absolutely best is Porthminster Beach cafe, can't say enough about the food, coffee, view and service and experience. Also great local produce, farm shops and deli's to buy good food when eating in. Definitely want to return, have fallen in love with the area and its stunning colour, also Porthminster cafe and last but not least Pelagos. " V. Gajewski

"Pelagos was to an exceptional standard, very high spec and the facilities were excellent. I strongly recommend The Cot Valley walk from St Just. The road is quiet and pretty and has two friendly if over curious emus in a a field. The beach at the end of the valley is stunning with huge dinosaur egg shaped stones which are great to photograph and walk over if you have good balance" J. Ball

"We had a wonderful stay at Pelagos in Carbis Bay. We were most impressed with the amazing views and found the apartment lovely and clean and extremely comfortable. Julie met us on arrival and was really helpful explaining the layout of the apartment and all the equipment. The ordinance survey map that was in the drawer was an asset and we did a number of walks which had already been mentioned in the guest book. One of them was going to see the seals at Godrevy Point. We counted over 50 seals - amazing! The Alba restaurant in St Ives was excellent and we thoroughly recommend it along with the Beach Cafe at Porthminster. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden were well worth a visit along with the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. In fact there is a lot we didn't see so we will be back. The kitchen was fabulous containing everything you could want. Pelagos was very comfortable and and decorated to a very high standard. The view is fully 180 degrees and wonderful. Days out - St Michaels Mount, Porthcurno telegraphy Museum, Geevor Tin Mine. Don't bother with Lands End - £5 car park fee not worth it! Restaurants in St Ives - Seafood Cafe and Alfresco - both fabulous meals. " K. Scholfield

"Our stay at Pelagos was very enjoyable and we were very pleased with the accommodation, which was very clean. We walked to St Ives which was an easy trip and also used the train which was very convenient although we got caught out with the timetable as not every service stops at Carbis Bay. " D. Boyd

"We very much enjoyed our week's stay in Pelagos. The flat was stylishly furnished to a very high standard - the view from the lounge was stunning ! Probably one of the best rental properties we have stayed in. Locally we especially enjoyed the following:The coastal patch to both St Ives and Lelant - so handy to come back on the train too! The Barbara Hepworth museum and the St Ives Museum. Eating out at Spinacios, Alba, Porthmeor Cafe for lunchtime tapas and Black Rock for an inventive menu. The Sloop Inn for a pint of Doom Bar ! Plus trips out to Kynance Cove, Porthcurno and Minack, Cadgewith (best Cornish pasties from the local shop at 12 midday!), the coast road to Zennor and Sennen." M. Leech

"We had a lovely holiday in Pelagos and enjoyed St Ives. The apartment has such fantastic views I dont think you will find better! , it was clean and of a very good standard. It was great getting the local train from Carbis Bay to St Ives and we ate out most nights. I would recommend the Porthmeor beach cafe (opposite the Tate), lovely food and the views were stunning. We took a drive to Godrevy lighthouse, then walked around the area. It has stunning scenery and we were lucky enough to see the seals on one of the inaccessible beaches. We also went to the Geevor tin mine which we both felt was really interesting. On one hand you get to see the history of mining, but also you experience the underground tour led by an ex miner and can discover how events affected real people. On our last day we drove to Falmouth, and you can easily spend a day here pottering about , watching the boats, but we visited Pendennis Castle as well. We had the 45 minute tour which was an interesting insight into the history of the castle." L. Holding

The situation of the apartment with its fantastic view from the lounge and kitchen windows over Carbis Bay beach and beyond to St Ives and Godrevy was superb and the well-maintained landscaped garden was an added bonus. I never got tired of just standing at the window enjoying the view! The flat was well appointed and the standard of cleanliness was first class . I also enjoyed walking the coastal path from Carbis Bay to St Ives station. and relaxing on the beach at Porthkidney sands." M. Nelson
