  • "I can honestly say that this is the best holiday home I have ever stayed in."

The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The views from the garden are magnificent, you just could sit there all day. The location was perfect as the property was tucked away but only a mile and a half from a supermarket to pick up holiday supplies. Sonya and Paul were extremely helpful both before our stay and during our stay. I honestly couldn’t have wished to stay anywhere nicer. Would go back in a heart beat.

The house is always spotlessly clean. It is well laid out and well-equipped, and hosts Sonya and Paul are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We were always comfortable, and the views are to die for. We can’t wait to return.

There were 11 of us and more than enough room to accommodate us all. The kitchen is equipped with a range cooker, american fridge freezer and a long benched table meeting our needs perfectly. The whole house is of a very high standard equipped with all the modern luxuries. The views are amazing, coastal walks on your door step and a hot tub to relax in admiring the view. The owner, Paul, is a great host and around if needed for anything otherwise we were left to our own privacy. Thoroughly recommend.

  • "This is a fantastic holiday property!"

Having travelled all around Cornwall and stayed in a number of purportedley 5 star homes, Silvermine is actually better than how it is described. The home is extremely well appointed and kept in excellent condition, it has everything you need, including a great living space, kitchen and games room. This of course does not include the unbelievable views of St Austell bay. Sonya and Paul make great hosts and are discreetly on hand to help (even when you manage to lose the front door key!). We stayed as a group of eight and there was easily room for more. A great place which we cannot recommend enough.

  • "Silvermine house was in a beautiful peaceful location set within it's own grounds and it has been beautifully kept by Sonya and Paul who are an extremely nice couple."

They were always available if needed not that we needed anything. Silvermine is very spacious particularly the large lounge area which was beautiful to relax in after our evening meal. I would recommend Silvermine to anyone who needs space, room and a relaxing environment. We had a golden wedding anniversary celebration using dineindulge.co.uk who arrange for a local chef to come along and cook/serve a meal. The chef and food was excellent with and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion. Thanks once again to Sonya and Paul

  • "Silvermine House is just the most wonderful home from home holiday place."

The owners, who are just the nicest people you could wish to meet, have covered everything and eventuality you could possibly imagine. We were eleven people (including two oldies and four children) and the fantastic accommodation allowed ultimate flexibility for us all. What else, oh yes, fantastic views, short walk to the nearest beach, beautiful outdoor areas, hot tub and games room with gym. Lots of great laughs had with pool tournaments most days. Altogether a most wonderful place which I can whole heartedly recommend and really hope to revisit.

It has been renovated to the highest level with every little detail thought of.from the lighting being able to be changed in the evening to the sensors in the bathroom!. Paul and Sonya have put their hearts and soul into this building and you really feel it from the moment you walk in and are greeted with the best scones we have ever tasted. The pictures truly do not show how amazing the views were. Every room has a sea view and it is worth getting up early to see the amazing sunrises. Even on a wet day paul and Sonya have made sure there is plenty to keep young and old entertained. The hot tub was an added bonus that kept everyone feeling relaxed and walking into the heated floors and beautiful cream tea will keep us coming back again and again

Kids were easily please with the games room and I enjoyed the gym. Secondly, We found it very easily and it is well located from every tourist attraction. The host Sonja was very attentive and made sure that she was on hand if we needed anything. After three trips to Cornwall, we think we finally found out base.

The house itself is immaculate, 6 gorgeous bedrooms all with stunning views and a wonderful open living space with high ceilings on the first floor. Plenty of space for 3 families. Oh and plenty of bathrooms too, all with great lighting! The hot tub was a big hit with everyone and the views from it are amazing. The large kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed many walks directly from the house down to the closest beach and there is so much to do nearby. We particularly enjoyed the lost gardens of heligan, recommended by Sonya the owner and a trip to Mevagissy where the boys went out on a little fishing trip. • "Silvermine House is stunning!"

It definitely has the WOW factor! Beautiful sea views from the house and the hot tub, very peaceful location, yet gateway to explore so much of Cornwall. Great welcome from owners both in person and with thoughtful 'goodies'! Useful information and directions given prior to our stay and quick response time from owners. Immaculately clean, spacious and light property. Our kids had lots of fun in the 'gym', games room and the relaxing living room. We loved the sea views, the lovely kitchen & nespresso coffee machine. We all enjoyed the outdoor space & the bubbly hot tub! We managed to tear the kids and ourselves away from the house and walk via the coastal path to quaint Charlestown (recommend the lemongrass & coconut mussels at Wreckers restaurant!). The Eden project is a great family day out and only about 15 mins drive away. Nearby Pentewan beach was good for playing sports & we drove across to the north coast for a beautiful beach day too (40 mins drive). Kidsworld Adventure Play Centre is only 5-10 minutes drive away and is a fun rainy day option for the kids. St Mawes Castle is definitely worth a visit in the sunshine. Highly recommend Silvermine House and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
