Spinnaker

Spinnaker had every thing we needed and was very homely and comfortable.

The location was great for exploring. Everything you need is just a short distance away including supermarkets, eateries and bakers. The hosts are very helpful. Will definitely book again if coming down that way

Spinnaker is a very good position in Charlestown for everything we want to do It’s a very quiet place and a good layout for two couples and our little dog Everything is provided for you I can recommend it

We’ve just come back from a stay at Spinnaker in Charlestown and had a lovely time.

The place was spotless, really comfortable, and had everything we needed, it felt like a real home from home. The location is perfect too, just a short walk down to Charlestown harbour, and ideal for exploring nearby spots like the Eden Project, Mevagissey, and Fowey. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-located place to stay in Cornwall.

I do agree with a previous review that the half moon sofa is very uncomfortable, a standard sofa would be much more comfortable. Charlestown is a great place and dog friendly, we did struggle to walk our dog though as there are no parks that accept dogs, we did manage to walk her on the beach but this is seasonal.

It was mostly comfortable but we didn’t find the large semi circular sofa particularly comfortable place to sit and a coffee table for drinks would have been useful.

No washing up liquid but otherwise a well stocked kitchen. Could have done with a hook for the shower in the main bathroom. Only 2 large bath towels for 4 adults. Having said all that we would book the accommodation again as it has a lot going for it.

Spinnaker was fantastic we booked as a family of four with two small children there was a high chair and loads of brilliant toys my toddler loved.

The place was clean and very comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. David rang the day before to check everything was ok and make sure we had all the information prior to arrival. Will definitely be looking to return. Thank you.

Lovely house in a quiet area.

Clean and comfortable and we loved the range of board games, especially on a rainy day! Ideal place to stay as it’s not far from the beach and places to eat. Close to attractions such as the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Bodmin Jail and several castles.

The house is on a fantastic location and is lovely and clean.

We had issues with the TV from the start, the freesat loses signal about every 10 seconds and is unwatchable, so I had to buy a firestick. The blind in the kitchen doesn't work and as there is a path at the side of the property you do have people walking past the window. Not an issue in the day, but feels uncomfortable when it's dark. Some of the fixings in the bathrooms need re-doing, as they are pulling out of the wall. We did have a great stay, but would be even better if these issues were addressed.

Great place, great location, great communication with the property owner.

Ideal location for exploring Charlestown and neighbouring areas. Well equipped including plenty of games which went down especially well with our party.

The house is well maintained and offers everything, one would need: 3 (!

) toilets, a bathtub and a shower, comfortable beds, wardrobe in every bedroom, bedside tables, well equipped kitchen, even boardgames for the odd rainy day

We have just spent 2 wonderful weeks at Spinnaker, this is our second stay and I am sure there will be more.

We enjoyed our stay in Spinnaker.

The house is ideally located in a quiet area of Charlestown just a short walk from pubs, restaurants and the harbour. The property was clean and comfortable (very comfortable beds) and overall we had an enjoyable and relaxing week

The whole house was spotless when we arrived.

In a lovely location. There was only one down side - the sofas were very uncomfortable

The property could really benefit from some maintenance and upgrades.

The appliances in the kitchen are leaking and you spend more time cleaning water than enjoying your stay. The blinds are so old they have been superglued back together numerous times and they have frayed. Heaven forbid you try to open them. The television is so old and grainy the picture quality is terrible. And the sofas feel like they was purchased from a charity shop ten years ago. ‘‘Twas more comfortable to be sat on the floor. Unable to contact both Sykes or the landlord during our stay. Neighbours constantly complaining that the property is protected by a convenance the prevents the owner from renting it out. Relaxing stay? No chance.

We had an enjoyable stay at Spinnakers, the house is comfortable and very clean.

Spotlessly clean. Needs local information Doctors hospital vet etc and eating places takeaways supermarkets etc and WiFi no. Sofa uncomfortable but overall everything very good
