  • "This is now our third visit to this property, it’s a beautiful spacious home with lots of space with a large garden that’s enclosed so safe for children and dogs!"

The kitchen has a warm feel to it being open it’s a nice place to sit and chat with groups of friends, plenty of cutlery, plates, pans, dishes etc! All the bedrooms are bright and the beds are super comfy. The local pubs are literally less than a minutes walk and offer some great meals, the beach is probably an 5/10 min walk! All in all I cannot wait until I’m back!

  • "We loved our stay at The Orchard and could definitely recommend it if you are looking for a large centrally located house in Crantock."

The house suited us perfectly as it has four good sized bedrooms with 3 bathroom/shower rooms and a downstairs loo. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and is well equipped with plenty of crockery, pots and pans etc. The delicious scones in the welcome pack were very much appreciated as were the fresh flowers. A lovely touch we thought. There were also books and games and a table tennis table to keep you occupied. We spent most of the time in the very large kitchen/lounge/dining area but the separate lounge with TV is a very useful and comfortable space too. The garden is large and secure for the dogs. All in all the house is beautiful and the location perfect for its closeness to the village and beach. We can’t fault it in any way. We would love to have another stay here.

All the rooms are beautiful, the garden also very nice. Lovely welcome pack and home-baked scones, thank you for those they were delicious. We did notice that the downstairs bedroom felt a little damp this year, anything left on the floor felt very cold and had to add extra blankets. The hot tub temperature was more tepid than hot that could be increased slightly. Overall a fantastic holiday, Crantock is a beautiful place.

  • "What a fabulous stay at The Orchard."

Absolutely everything we could've wished for and more. 6 adults, 1 two year old and a dog. My mom has mobility issues so groundfloor bedroom and bathroom was a must, only thing the bathroom was a bath with shower over and not a walk in shower, not a problem for my mom though. Lovely bedrooms, the pressure on shower in family bathroom wasn't very good, but they just used the one in the main bedroom, again not an issue for us. Kitchen was amazing with evertyhing you could possibly need. Only thing we found was the seating was a bit low for my mom, but we brought a chair in from outside and she was happy. The garden is fully enclosed and safe for both a toddler and a dog, and both would have tried to escape if they could!!! The village is perfect, shop close at hand, two pubs and a 15 min walk to the beach, what else could you ask for. had a great week, we will be back.

Lovely warm welcome and the extras left were greatly appreciated, thank you. Good communication from Nicola and Pauline. We definitely will be booking again as it’s such a great location for exploring this part of Cornwall. We managed to dodge most of the rain and walked the coastine and beaches. An added bonus is the bus stops opposite so you can walk and catch the bus back for a relaxing dip in the hot tub.

The property is spacious and well equipped being spotless when you arrive. Being located in the centre of Crantock you are only a few steps away from the shop and a short walk to the two pubs in the village. The Orchard also has the added benefit of a hot tub in the garden which is a lovely addition. If you are after a large property and want to get away from it all you can't really go wrong with The Orchard. 10 out of 10.

  • "This was our second visit and all in all a great stay, the location is to die for and accommodation lends to a large group."

The overall standards of cleanliness had dropped this year, i do think if there was a decent vacuum cleaner we could have addressed this. Lots of pet hair on carpets, we found three contact lenses on the bedroom floor, there was hair on the kettle and bread bin wasn’t clean. The Teflon pans (Forever Chemicals) were badly scratched and burned. The orangery lantern roof was covered in cobwebs. And on our last day when stripping the beds we found blood staining on the mattress protector. We do love the place and if available would book again without hesitation but these things just need tickling up.

  • "We had a wonderful stay in beautiful crantock."

The house is in a perfect location with two lovely pubs. The beach is unbeatable for children. Only a short drive from Newquay. The house was modern inside with a lovely kitchen/ living area and the bedrooms were very comfortable with comfy beds and clean linen. The only negative we have is that the hot tub didn’t look very clean when we arrived (i think the water needs to be emptied in between visitors to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness). By the fourth day of the holiday we couldn’t go in the hot-tub as it had gone really murky. Also the patio area could have done with a spruce up, grass growing between the paving. But that is being very picky. Holiday in Crantock and stay in this house, you will have a brilliant time.

It was like being at home, it had everything and more and we will certainly return if we visit as a family again. Service and attention to detail was the best I've ever had when booking a holiday. We’ve stayed in The Orchard a few times and it didn’t disappoint this year. It has a fabulous spacious living and kitchen area that is really social for a large family. Plenty of bedroom and bathroom space to accommodate different ages with lovely clean white bed linen and towels. The hot tub is a bonus in the gorgeous garden which is fully enclosed so safe for our dog to play in. Pauline the property manager is really helpful and on hand for anything you need. • "The Orchard was a super place for our annual family get together."

Spacious and well equipped. The open plan kitchen / diner / lounge worked well, especially when the bi-fold doors were open, extending the space into the terrace / garden. The pictures are very accurate, but it is even nicer when you are there! The cream tea welcome gift was a lovely surprise, and Pauline and Nicola were a joy to deal with. Housekeeping deposit was returned very promptly. Crantock was a perfect village for us. A well stocked village shop (no longer Londis) meant we only had to pop across the road to stock up, and open 8am to 8pm every day, including Sunday and Bank Holiday! The Jam Jar is good for cakes, ice cream and evening pizzas, though note, no take away in peak season & no bookings taken. There are two character pubs, which serve food and take bookings, but book early. The beach is only a 10 minute walk and, as the modest car parks fill up quickly, the beach is not crowded. Big Green Surf School stocks a wide range of surf/paddle/body boards, though sadly the surf was not great the week we were there. Further afield you can walk to Newquay in under an hour, though check the tide times as the bridge is covered at high tide and the alternative is an extra mile walk upstream, or downstream to the ferry. L George Butchers, a five minute drive to St Newlyn East, is well worth the trip for their gorgeous barbeque meats, and they have a deli and sell bread, buns, croissants, pain au chocolate, etc. They normally visit Crantock on a Wednesday in their mobile shop, but they didn’t whilst we were there. All in all, a great house in a great location! Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Unfortunately the weather was a little against us so didn’t really spend any time in the garden. But again the garden was large and ample seating. Used the hot tub once but unfortunately had a fair bit of dead bury floating, hair etc. so it put us off using it again. The manager did offer to have it cleaned but we didn’t want them having to pay an extra cost mid week and it meant it was out of action for a couple of days. So we declined the offer. (Our choice) Nice welcome pack on arrival, scones & cream didn’t last long! We brought our dogs & surfing gear so the outside tap (hot) was really good Would definitely return

Everything about the Orchard was perfect. Crantock beach was just under ten minutes away so a trolley loaded up with our beach gear was a great plan - no queuing to get into the car park either! There are two pubs, a wonderful little place called the Jam Jar where you can get hot drinks and pastries by day, and in the evening pop in for a drink too. There is a little shop literally just on your doorstep where not only does the smell of fresh Cornish pasties beckons you in of a morning, but also where you can pretty much purchase anything you may need. There is also a quaint little bus stop just opposite to take you to Newquay should you wish to go there. Pauline, the Manager helpfully answered a small query via text/a call, and the Owner Nicola, sent a lovely welcoming email prior to our stay to give details on the property and the surrounding area. Enjoy your stay!
