"We had a fantastic stay at Rosemaddon - brilliantly positioned in Crantock for short walks to the beach, pubs and local shop."
The property is in great condition - really comfortable and homely. The house was spotless on arrival with quick responses to a couple of questions we had. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay in Cornwall.

"This is the second time we have stayed at Rosemaddon and in general we love the property."
It's in the perfect location in the middle of Crantock village with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely, family-friendly layout.
However, as with our previous stay (in 2024), there is a serious issue with the WiFi - this runs extremely slowly, well below the acceptable speed for a modern property, and often barely loading emails. This isn't an issue with the property location, as there is a BT mast near to the property and other holiday homes we have taken in Crantock over the past few years do not suffer from this problem (we have stayed in Crantock annually for many years, so know the village very well). Rather, we believe there is a wiring issue with Rosemaddon itself which we urge the owners to rectify with the help of their WiFi provider BT. We did raise this issue last time we stayed (with the previous owners) but evidently nothing was done about it. We don't believe the issue would be too expensive to rectify - one of our party works in IT and believes this could be resolved for a couple of hundred pounds.
If the new owners can boost the WiFi speed, we would have no hesitation in recommending Rosemaddon, but currently we would hesitate before staying there again. There is now a wonderful, large TV in the living room, for example, but it's impossible to take full advantage of this at present, as any streamed movie is constantly buffering.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear the WiFi did not meet your expectations during your stay.
As the cottage is located in the heart of a rural Cornish village, it is served by a traditional copper broadband connection, as fibre broadband is not yet available in the area. This means speeds can vary, particularly when multiple devices are connected at the same time. The cottage was built in 1870, and its thick stone walls can also affect WiFi coverage in certain areas of the property.
I provide the best broadband service currently available to the cottage and, unfortunately, any limitations in speed or connectivity are beyond my control until infrastructure upgrades are made by the network provider.

"We were absolutely blown away by Rosemadden."
We have stayed in quite a few different cottages within Crantock village and Rosemadden is definitely on our list to stay in again.
The accommodation is huge inside, with everything you could possibly need.
I noticed a few people in the comments had said that the parking was tight, we had 2 cars on the drive, it is a little hard to open your car door fully but its easy to unload from the boot etc. Let me tell you parking is an absolute premium in Crantock village, so the fact you have space to park cars is a real bonus.
Rosemadden is so well situated, close to the shop, pubs, beach etc we parked the car up after a food shop and didnt use it again for 2weeks, we walked the coastal paths etc.
I would also like to mention how tentative Donna was, she did a mini clean for us, mid week through our stay, it was lovely and clean, the bedding was lovely and clean,
couldn't fault it at all.
Almost dont want to tell anyone about this property incase it gets really booked up and we can't get in again

"We absolutely loved this characterful cottage, had everything we needed & made for a perfect family stay."
The place is huge, facilities are excellent, showers are powerful, beds are comfy.
Parking for 2 cars, although a tight squeeze at the top.
Location couldn’t be better for a relaxing beach stay, with easy access to the busier towns if wanted.
Decent shop a few steps away, 2 lovely pubs a stones throw & a lovely pizzeria worth visiting.
We stay in crantock every year, often changing the accommodation but this will be a certainly now.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave feedback Tanya , we are thrilled you enjoyed Rosemaddon and had such a super holiday , we look forward to welcoming back to Crantock … Diana

"Fantastic spacious,comfortable property."
The kitchen was well equipped, we did lots of cooking. Stairgate available to stop the dogs going upstairs. Great to have the rear gate to clean the dogs off after going to the beach before letting them in the house. Parking a bit of a challenge if you have a wide car. The smaller car was OK.
Maybe supply instructions on how to change the heating. We tried and failed, so left the back door open when it was too warm.
Hello Sue Thankyou for your feedback which is appreciated, we are so happy to hear you enjoyed Rosemaddon, although sorry to hear you found the house too warm at times , the instructions for the boiler are listed under heating in the welcome folder, just turn the boiler down, and with regard to cleanliness, apologies you did not find Rosemaddon to our usual 100%, I shall investigate with our housekeeping team.
The drive way accommodates my Range Rover plus another car, I am again sorry you found this a challenge( driving past the house then turning the car round and driving in I find a lot easier ) ..We hope to welcome you and your beloved dogs back to Rosemaddon and Crantock again .
Best wishes

"We arrived at Rosemadden and was really wowed when we walked thru the door, first impressions were great, an amazing place , the high vaulted ceiling in the lounge area gave it a very spacious feel, it was cosy warm too."
The kitchen area was well set up, everything you could want, and that table! Loved it.
The bed was soo comfy and cosy.
The piano was a great extra too, loved a little play on it!
The village has everything too , a pub and The Jam Jar cafe, just a few minutes to walk too.
And the little village store, open everyday, supplying anything

"We had a fantastic stay at Rosemaddon, the property was very spacious and had everything you would need for a holiday away with family."
Our 4 dogs also joined us and this made our stay even more special as we love to travel with our pets.
The driveway accommodated 2 cars and there was a peaceful/quiet garden to relax in.
Overall the property was more than what we were expecting and in a beautiful location.
Donna and Ian were very accommodating and helpful, they provided a welcome selection for our arrival which was appreciated after a long drive.
There were face wipes provided in the bathrooms which was also a pleasant surprise.
A great base for a week away, lots to do locally and games are provided within the property for the rainy days.
Thanks again.
