The new decking area is a great addition along with the outside shower. Thank you for your lovely comments, we are glad that you have enjoyed your stay. Excellent location over the road from the village shop and a short walk to the pubs. We loved the 1st floor living space and the overall floor plan. We are 6 women who travel once a year together and enjoy walking, the housekeepers set up the beds as 6 singles which was great as in other properties we would need to share doubles. Can’t fault it! Thank you! Thank you for the lovely feedback, we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! May we take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent condition you left the property in. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner Reviewed by Allison5.0★May 2023 "Wonderful location and very clean." The reason why I did not give it five stars is because all the shower heads need cleaning. Thank you for your feedback and positive comments therein. With regard to the shower heads, this issue has now been addressed. Thanks again Property Owner Reviewed by Lisa4.4★May 2023 "Thank you xxx We had a wonderful time as usual and with our new Grandson 'Cole'" Reviewed by Nicola Jayne5.0★Mar 2023 "Excellent property, very clean, spotless." Everything you need for a holiday. Lovely garden at the back, idea for a barbeque. Thanks Kim for all the hard work you put in. Excellent location in Crantock village short walk to the beach. Shop across the road, plus a pizza restaurant and two pubs. Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are so pleased you have enjoyed your holiday. We will pass on your thanks to Kim too. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Property Owner Reviewed by Forbes5.0★Aug 2022 "The Dunes is a decent property however I was pretty shocked to be then chased up a few days after returning home to say I owed a further £40 for bringing our dog." We have been coming for several years and have always enjoyed it, but this has left quite a sour taste. I would obviously have happily paid the extra for the dog, but couldn't find anywhere in my account when trying to modify my booking to add a pet, so I assumed it wasn't an extra cost. To then be called and emailed chasing down the extra £40 was not a great way to treat loyal guests who have recommended this place to several friends. Thank you for your honest feedback, we were saddened and disappointed to read the comments therein. With regard to your dog and the fee, I understand that Skyes made one phone call and then followed up with an email after being unable to get through. There is a charge per pet due to extra cleaning and time spent when a pet visits. Not everybody (unlike us) are pet lovers and we strive to ensure whether bringing a pet or not, that the property is pet hair and smell free, this takes extra time. On a slightly different note we hope you enjoyed the newly renovated garden, creating a new decking area and furniture to enjoy the cornish sun. We hope that you feel able to return in the future as we value each and every guest. Property Owner Reviewed by Anna3.8★Aug 2022 "A lovely little place in nice surroundings." We had quite serious car trouble whilst there so spent considerably more time at the property than we would normally do. So feel like we are best placed to say what a pleasure it was to stay. (and of course the bay was beautiful as always) Thanks you. John & Jackie. Thank you for such lovely feedback. We are really pleased that despite car trouble you still had a lovely stay! Only negative is no parking - permit only provided at village hall from April to September - limited parking (very tight) for two cars at front of property and one car didn’t move for most of stay and quite congested in road at back of property Reviewed by Karen5.0★Oct 2021 "The house exceeded our expectations." We all thought it was a great property. Everything we needed was provided. The property was emaculate. The location was ideal we all really enjoyed our stay. Reviewed by Forbes5.0★Aug 2021 "Lovely comfortable cottage in an ideal location in the centre of the village." The parking at the village hall was close by so we booked an additional permit for our second car which we thought was good value at £25 for the week. We especially liked the layout of the kitchen and living area which was really spacious. Plenty of hot water on demand for showers and baths. Reviewed by Andrew4.7★Jul 2021 "We have been to Crantock on many occasions stopping in various accommodation, the Dunes was the best so far." It was very clean comfortable in a great location. The kitchen was well equipped with little touches like tea coffee milk and a lovely cake to get you started. There was even dish washer tablets, which we forgot, washing detergent, dog bowls everything you may need. The bed we used on the bottom floor was very warm and comfortable. The roomy lounge was also comfortable but could do with a larger TV for those rainy days in. The garden was small but adequate with lots of seating areas. On the whole we had a great stay. The village and surrounding area is beautiful. Great for walking, dining at the local pubs, having a coffee at local coffee shop, buying essential from shop across the road, catching bus to Newquay which stops less than 2 mins walk away. We would definitely book again. Reviewed by Caroline5.0★Apr 2021 "Our 5th time at this Lovely Cottage!" Fantastic location and lovely property, perfect for a large or extended family. Reviewed by Hayley4.7★Aug 2019 "Excellent stay in this clean and comfortable cottage." Close to local shop and pubs and only a ten minute walk to the beach! Only downside was parking 2 minutes away otherwise would have been a 10/10 Reviewed by Karen5.0★Aug 2019 "This is our second stay at the dunes and it was wonderful both times." The house is well appointed and perfectly situated. We loved it! Reviewed by Viki4.7★May 2019 "Very clean and comfortable holiday accommodation." The garden is a lovely little suntrap. We found it convenient for the beach, local pubs and the village shop which is just across the road! Would certainly recommend. Reviewed by Angela5.0★May 2019 "The cottage was very well equipped, had everything we needed and more besides." Very clean, comfortable accommodation, comfy beds and plenty of space. The only (minor) downside is that there is no parking immediately outside the cottage, although this is available at the village hall car park (permit provided) about 3 mins walk away. Not ideal as we had a baby with us, but the shop is only 40 paces away and does very good pasties! Would highly recommend the cottage.
