Description
Perfectly located for exploring and enjoying the spectacular Camel estuary, this cosy and tastefully furnished cottage is situated in a quiet residential area of the quinessential fishing port and town of Padstow.
You will feel at home immediately on entering this charming cottage.
You enter the cottage after parking directly outside via the porch ideal for leaving your walking boots after a stroll on the close by Camel trail or Saints Way.
The open plan living room with kitchen, dining and sitting areas with a cosy sofa and armchairs is ideal to sit around and plan the day ahead before relaxing at the end of the day in the garden to catch the last of the sun on the patio.
There are three well furnished bedrooms, two with estuary views, a double and two singles which along with the bathroom are all on the first floor.
The setting here really does offer something for everyone.
Beachlovers, walkers, cyclists, lovers of good food and top restaurants, fishing enthuiasts and day trippers are all vey well catered for and illustrate why Padstow is so very popular and one of the most sought after holiday destinations in the South West.

What a fantastic home Gull Cottage was.
Wonderful decor and many lovely pictures and paintings throughout. Should you bring your dog, the front and rear gardens are enclosed. There’s everything you might need there including a dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a stair gate at the top of the stairs. However we did find that due to the stair layout near the top, this does force you to step onto the narrower part of the steps as there’s a turn directly from the top. That’s not a criticism, but just an observation from our point of view (we are both a little unsteady on our feet due to medical problems and weren’t aware of this until arrival). There was not only welcome goodies for us, but even “Doggy” treats for our dog Daisy AND her own towel to dry her off if needed !!!! So many personal thoughts were there to help us during our stay at Gull Cottage. The owners certainly take a lot of pride in their “Home from Home”. Overall we really enjoyed our first time stay there. Padstow town and harbour is close by, but due to our mobility problems we found it a little too hilly to walk there. However there’s loads of parking nearby, so this wasn’t a problem. Nearly forgot to mention the wonderful views from the back bedroom windows !!!! Thanks again for a lovely time.
Our second time staying in Gull Cottage and that is unusual for us to repeat stays.
A lovely dog friendly, clean, very well equipped property. Great quiet location with estuary views from back bedroom windows. Enclosed neat garden with patio furniture and padders. Attention to detail is great with quality fixtures and fittings. Dishwasher, and washing machine. Good instructions for everything and great communication. We can't fault it. Margie and Alan are doing things right!

Lovely cottage, our third time.
A 10 mins walk down into Padstow, it is uphill on the way back. Located well, so easily able to visit loads of places, our favourites are, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Bude, Polperro, Fowey, Mevagissey and Mousehole.

This was our 2nd time staying in this house.
Amazing location, great views, close to town and Tesco. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. A great hub from which to explore the surrounding area. We will be back!

We enjoyed staying gull cottage, when we arrived there, welcome gift for our dog,milk in the fridge.
All rooms cleaned. Not far drive to visit several beautiful seaside. Only 10 mins walk down hill to Padstow harbour shops/restaurant/pubs. Worth visit rock/polzeath by ferry.

Great cottage, kitchen has got all facilities.
Very comfortable indeed. Only a very short walk into Padstow, it is uphill on the way back up though. Well positioned for visiting Cornwall. We are coming back for our third stay later this year. No issues whatsoever.

We had a lovely stay in Gull cottage.
It is clean, and well equipped with everything you need to stay. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk into padstow town and you can access the camel trail into wadebridge. We cannot wait to book our next stay here

Have been to Gull Cottage several times now and it is always clean and well maintained.
Has everything you need for a holiday home from home. Having parking is such a bonus. One minor comment to note is that we think the stair gate would be better at the bottom of the stairs as it makes it a little tricky at the top when coming down the stairs. Thanks again

Thank you for your idea regarding the stair gate at the top of the stairs. It's there to protect our guests, particularly, little people from falling down the stairs. We have looked into changing the stair gate that is in place at the moment. We even bought another type of stair gate but found that to fit it required removing a post which would have resulted in replastering a wall. So for now, we've decided to keep the present stair gate but will continue to look for a suitable alternative. A little gem of a cottage, beautifully presented, comfortable and well equipped.
The welcome pack was a nice touch especially the doggy cake for our border collie. It's location is perfect for exploring the local area and has a magnificent beach and also great access for walking. Would definitely visit again and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

The cottage was very nice, beautiful, cosy, clean.
We have been welcomed with biscuits, even our doggie got dog cupcake, it was so nice. Dog bowls prepared. You can find everything in the kitchen whatever you need. Bedrooms are nice, view is exceptionally nice in 2 of them. Bathroom clean and modern. Tesco 5-10 minutes walk away. I could honestly recommend the place to anyone, it was great.

Gull Cottage was perfect for a family of 4.
We had no issues with the property at all. It is well decorated and maintained and I appreciated the little decorative touches, it makes you feel at home. They had thought of everything, even leaving milk for a well deserved cup of tea at the end of a long journey. We hope to be back in the future.

We had a great holiday at Gull Cottage.
It was very clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and well looked after. It was very well equipped, with everything we needed. Finding biscuits and a doggie cupcake waiting for us was a lovely welcoming touch. The cottage is in a great location for walking down to the harbour, town and Camel trail. We would highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money.
Great location for Padstow. Everything we needed and more. We felt we were in a home rather than a holiday let with all the extra quality touches such as the throws, artwork and bedding which were all of really good quality. Fantastic views over the estuary from the bedrooms. Property was spotless and very well maintained. Parking was a massive bonus.

We chose Gull Cottage due to being relatively close to the centre of Padstow (10 minutes walk) together with allocated parking space at front of house.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean and tidy when we arrived and everything that we could want was provided. Everything was in good order. The owner is obviously someone who understands what a holidaymaker wants and does everything they can to provide it. Recommended.

Having had our holiday cancelled (through a different company) with 48hrs notice we found your Gull Cottage.
We wanted to return to Padstow so booked it. We were pleasantly surprised. The property was one of the most thought about that we have ever stayed in. You have equipped it extremely well with very good quality products and furnishings. Every thing was clean and tidy and well explained. Bosch Dish washer, Shark hoover, Bosch washing machine, good heating controls and plenty of hot water. Loved the little touches like torches, night lights, dog Woofin (which he loved) biscuits and milk. Bed was very comfortable we even took note of what the pillows were as they aided a good night's sleep. We would love to return and be able to use the garden more. The location is ideal, quiet area and 10 mins walk into town. We didn't want to leave and felt it was a real home from home. The estuary views from back bedrooms were stunning.

Lovely holiday cottage on the outskirts of Padstow.
Beautifully decorated with artwork in every room, very comfortable and welcoming. Fully equipped with great touches such as a towel and bowls for our dog. There are lovely views, from the rear bedrooms, to the Camel estuary, a great spot to relax with a book in the afternoon. It is a steep walk up from the Camel Trail but when we were too tired we simply drove down the road! There is a Tesco at the end of the road and a farm shop just 5 minutes drive away, which is very convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much, in fact we didn't want to leave!

A superb cottage, ideally placed in Padstow.
Perfect for us but a double and two small single rooms perhaps not ideal for everybody. Well furnished, well equipped and nicely decorated, We have been using Gull Cottage for quite a few years now and it never ceases to impress. Padstow is perfect out of season. If you need a week of sleep-beach-eat-repeat to recharge your batteries Gull Cottage is the one!

A fantastic week in a fantastic cottage.
Spotlessly clean an very comfortable. Parking for 2 cars if required. Everything needed was her at Gull Cottage. Very well laid out and an ideal location for short walk into Padstow. Easy access for all areas of Cornwall and a local Tesco a few minutes away for all supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Gull Cottage and would definitely return.

A cottage of very high standard.
..bed was comfortable..everything you needed to make it home from home..the only thing you need to be fit as cottage at the top of very steep hills.. but views are beautiful..

Appreciated the well stocked kitchen . Quality kitchen appliances and good TV / music centre . Netflix and Prime was a bonus . Well situated for walking into Padstow. Enjoyed the little extras of a nice box of biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge . And in particular the doggie cake treat and dog towel . Made us so welcome . This is the second time we have stayed at Gull Cottage and it really is a home from home.
We had milk in the fridge, along with a lovely box of biscuits awaiting our attention on arrival and our dog had a 'Wuffin' waiting for him, which was all most enjoyed. A brilliant property that had absolutely everything we needed. Thank you so much, we will be booking again in the future !!!

Everything was immensely clean and the unexpected extras (chocolates on pillows, 'muffin' for dog) really made us smile when we walked in.
Instructions for appliances, waste disposal and leaving property were clear and the extensive range of walks shown in the welcome folder were excellent. One question was that the listing stated that there was parking for two cars, however it was not clear where that second space was. Whilst we parked one car directly outside the property, the rest of the area in front of the house was always full with cars from other properties. Can I suggest that the visitors folder is updated to indicate where a second car should be parked.

It is a perfect home from home. Very clean and handy for all local amenities. Cannot fault this cottage.

Fantastic stay at Gull Cottage, which was very comfortable and we wanted for nothing there.
Comfortable bed and plenty of storage space too. Nice kitchen with plenty of equipment. Only a stone’s throw from Padstow’s lovely harbour and a Tesco only 3 or 4 minutes drive away. Absolutely perfect - we shall definitely return.

The location in Padstow was convenient to provide ideal access to the town whilst being very peaceful and quiet.
It was our second stay in Gull Cottage, a real home from home, we will definitely stay there again.
The house was exactly as described,it was beautifully decorated with a light seaside feel,everything was thought of if you like to cook,the evening sun on the little front patio was a perfect place to sit,I would also like to say the extra protection with cleaning products and hand sanitizers in all rooms was a good idea ,Thank You

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gull Cottage.
The cottage is probably the best equipped we have ever stayed in, and is lovely and clean. We had a lovely welcome pack of a cream tea, and a doggy muffin for our dog. A towel and bowls were also provided for him. The cottage is only a short walk from the centre of Padstow and close to the Camel Trail. We couldn't fault it.
This was the first time I visited Gull Cottage with my rescue dog.
As a frequent visitor to the cottage I was already well aware of the excellent attention to detail, with all the extra treats and comforts afforded to humans - but I was wowed this time by all the extras and thoughtfulness provided for Timmy as well! (including dog bowls and mat, dog towel for mucky paws and an 'iced Woofin' treat for Timmy to enjoy, while I tucked in to my cream tea). Honestly, you couldn't do it better. Thank you!
This cottage is immaculate and lots of added extras for a relaxing stay.
The cream tea for the humans and Woofin for the dog was appreciated. Ideally located for access to Padstow harbour, Camel trail and local supermarket.
Beautifully appointed cottage in a fabulous location.
The only one thing I have a problem with is the child gate at top of stairs been disabled I found it a little hard with the gate been at top right on the stair bends but once used to it I just concentrated on where I was treading other than that we had a really comfortable stay in cottage and Padstow and would recommend to anyone love the touch with scones tea and jam&cream.

Very enjoyable holiday at Gull cottage.
The house was well equipped and very clean. Furnishings were of a high standard which is not always the case in some holiday cottages that take dogs. The housekeeper was particularly helpful and accommodating, emailing etc with details. The house had a lovely courtyard garden and as the weather was excellent we were able to eat outdoors. This house had been graded as 3 stars but I would class it as 4 stars.
When holidaying with your dog, the accommodation isn’t always 5* but no such worries with Gull Cottage.

Cornwall in January has a lot to offer.
It is not crowded but still has all the wonderful coastal scenery to explore. Gull cottage is well situated . There are fabulous walks from the house and different places are a short drive away. Padstow itself is a 10 minute walk. Gull cottage is dog friendly with bowls, towel and poo bags supplied. Our dog is small and quiet now he is getting on. There is not a huge amount of space for a large bouncy young dog . The cottage is a small modern link house in a quiet cul-de-sac with easy parking outside. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard and is warm and comfortable . There is a courtyard garden at the back . There are fabulous views of the Camel Estuary from the rear bedrooms . The cottage is supplied with a generous amount of consumables . We appreciated the comfy beds, great shower, quality bed linen and towels. A lot of care has been taken to furnish, maintain, and equip this cottage to provide a high level of guest comfort which we enjoyed. It makes a holiday, especially in the depths of winter much more worthwhile .
The new owners of Gull Cottage have refurbished the cottage to an exceptionally high standard (this was my 8th visit to GC).
As I don't have a pet, I haven't previously stayed at a cottage that allows pets. The only negative with our stay was when I covered myself up with a throw from the sofa, only to be covered head to toe in dog hairs! However, that hasn't put me off, as I have just booked to stay again next year! Can't wait.

The cottage provided everything we needed and was in immaculate condition. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Would also like to rebook this cottage again in the near future.
Gull Cottage was excellent.
We have stayed in many cottages over the years with the dog and at times, have been rather disappointed as it appears people with dogs tend to get the lower end of the market regarding accommodation, however it is never reflected in the price. Gull cottage exceeded our expectations and we can honestly say without doubt that it is the best place we ever have stayed in. We have already recommended Gull cottage to friends and family and will have no hesitation in booking Gull cottage again, when we next visit Padstow, Cornwall. A genuine 10 out of 10!!!!!
