  • "All was good."

If a bit picky, for us the bed was too soft. Also legs are sore from banging on bed legs.

  • "Such a great cottage, facilities exceeded our expectations."

The position of the accommodation is superb, lovely and quiet but so near the harbour and camel trail. The car remained parked up for most of our stay. Biscuits, cake and milk were very much appreciated and a lovely touch, our drive down from Manchester had been in rain all the way and was hard going so being able to have a brew and biscuit was a welcome sight. We have been in cottages in the lakes but not a touch on this cottage, just being able to use a dishwasher tablet that the owner had left plus salt, pepper, oils is sooooo good as these are items that can sometimes be forgotten. We have told all of our families and friends about the house, we will most definitely be back. Thank you, you are providing an excellent cottage, lovely and clean too.

  • "We arrived to a beautifully cleaned cottage."

We had brought with us things just in case we needed them, but everything was provided. The cottage was closer to the cycle/walk way than we had imagined which was a pleasant surprise. The area was quiet and the birds on the hawthorn tree in the garden a joy to watch every morning. Easy to get visit local places. We know the area well. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed walking and the breathtaking views we had been dreaming about since 2019. We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday. Thank you very much.

  • "The loft trapdoor was open when we arrived."

The TV reception was poor so we assumed that someone had been in the loft to adjust the arial. More importantly for you, the keys were in the safebox upon arrival as you advised, but we did not have to key in the supplied number to access the keys as the previous occupants/ cleaner had not scrambled the numbers. So anyone could have entered the property between the last person leaving and our arrival. None of the issues affected our stay and we were very happy with all aspects of the cottage, including cleanliness, amenities and location

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are so sorry that you found the trap door open, this is purely down to the wind flow when the front door is opened and no one had accessed the loft. Our TV reception can also be affected by the weather conditions at the time. We do hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "This was our second stay in Sarah's Cottage (the first being October 2019) and we enjoyed it just as much as we did then."

We found the cottage spotlessly clean, very well equipped & very welcoming with a welcome tray, box of biscuits & milk in the fridge. It is in a perfect location being a very short & pretty walk down to the Harbour & town, very close to the local Tesco's, and an excellent base for walking etc, both locally & further afield. We enjoyed many of our favourite walks including the "John Betjeman Walk" which starts & finishes in Rock, taking in St Enodoc's Church where John Betjeman is buried. To be recommended! All in all we had an excellent holiday in this cottage, would recommend it to friends & will stay again in the future.

  • "Nice property very well equipped and comfortable."

It was also well positioned being near enough to all the facilities. Everything about our trip was wonderful except for the weather which, sadly, was mixed.

  • "The wifi was fine for writing - and TV."

I have stayed before with my partner around the corner - not through Sykes. Heating was fine. Kitchen easy to use tho I only 'cooked' some beans and toast. I used the single bed even though towels on the double - on my own this time. Really enjoyed the quiet and darkness and fresh air.

The property is very clean, very well equipped, and cosy. A very good base for exploring this delightful area and is to be recommended. The cottage felt very welcoming when we arrived, made even more so by a delicious Cream Tea waiting, along with some milk,in the fridge! We will book to stay here again. Beautiful view of the Camel Estuary from the back bedroom windows!

  • "A good sized house in an ideal location for us."

Cleaning materials were provided which meant we didn’t need to purchase little things such as kitchen roll, cloths and disinfectant. We enjoyed a lovely cream tea which was waiting for us in the fridge, the kids were especially pleased. There is a cut through next to the house which gave us quick access on to the road to take us down into padstow town and the harbour. Tesco is literally up the road which is ideal. Padstow is a stunning town and the surrounding beaches are beautiful. Especially Trevone and Tregirls.
