The property

3 Faraway Fields is a single-storey lodge resting in the countryside surroundings of Dobwalls in Cornwall.

Offering an inviting base for couples, friends or small families who are looking to slow their pace and settle into Cornish life for a while, boasting a hot tub, nearby amenities and open-plan layout.

After arriving along the peaceful lodge-lined lane, you can park the car beside the property and take a moment to appreciate the timber exterior, the wrap-around decking and the feeling of space that frames the lodge before stepping inside.

Push open the door and begin your walk through the open plan living area, where soft daylight spills through wide patio doors and draws your attention out toward the enclosed decking.

As you move further in, the sitting area encourages you to sink into the seating with a warm drink, the television close to hand for relaxed evenings after a day exploring the coast or moorland.

The dining table sits waiting for unhurried breakfasts, while the kitchen invites you to prepare simple meals with the ease of handy appliances that allow you to rustle up suppers or load the dishwasher before settling in for the night.

When you wander through to the king-size bedroom, you will notice the thoughtful details such as the television opposite the bed and the private en suite with its walk-in shower, basin and WC, adding a smooth rhythm to each morning.

The twin room provides a gentle retreat for younger guests or friends travelling together, and a separate bathroom offers a bath with a shower over, basin and WC, creating a refreshing spot for rinsing off sandy feet or unwinding after a walk through the surrounding countryside.

Step back outside to explore the wrap-around decking, which is fully enclosed and ideal for morning coffees or evening chats.

Take the steps down into the enclosed garden area, where the hot tub rests in its own dedicated spot, giving you somewhere to sink into warm bubbles beneath the open sky.

This outdoor layout offers both privacy and space, creating a welcome end to each day.

Dobwalls offers a shop a short walk away and a pub that sits within easy reach for hearty meals or an evening drink.

A short journey brings you to Liskeard with its characterful buildings and local amenities, while further exploration may take you to coastal villages such as Looe, Polperro and Fowey, each with its own easy charm.

Bodmin Moor is also nearby, offering wide footpaths and dramatic viewpoints, as well as woodland riverside spots like Golitha Falls and underground wonders such as Carnglaze Caverns.

Those wishing to explore a little further afield can reach three memorable attractions within an hour.

The Eden Project surrounds you with towering biomes where you can wander through rainforest walkways, admire vibrant planting and experience seasonal exhibitions that appeal to all ages.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan allow you to lose yourself among winding pathways, ancient woodland and hidden corners where sculptures emerge from the landscape.

In the opposite direction, the fishing town of Mevagissey offers narrow streets lined with independent shops, a working harbour filled with bobbing boats and scenic spots to enjoy fish and chips beside the water.

With this blend of comfort, thoughtful layout and access to both countryside and coast, 3 Faraway Fields offers a lovely Cornish base for days spent unwinding or heading out to discover new corners of the county.
