A beautiful home with an outstanding kitchen and family area.

But no spices, or cooking oil, so impossible to cook a nice meal. I would recommend this listing with the above qualification. But the communication from Sykes has been very poor. No response to direct questions via text or email using my Sykes account or VRBO account. Terrible is not a word I use very much with customer service, but Sykes deserves a terrible rating when it comes to timely and appropriate communication. An excellent property modernised to the max.

All rooms are spacious and clean. The property has everything you could wish for with a beautiful kitchen equipped with cooker, microwave, all utensils and crockery etc. It even has a Qooker tap for instant boiling water. The large TVs were perfect for watching the World Cup Football during our stay. A real home from home we enjoyed our stay immensely and would highly recommend it.

Amazing property, immaculately clean, great location.

Amazingly equipped, beautiful modern and bright house. We had a great time. Lots of useful information on how to work appliances etc. Some real thought and attention to detail. We can highly recommend, it has been the best holiday rental we have stayed in. The communication with Sykes Cottages was amazing, too.

Beautiful house, very clean, beds were comfortable.

House is in a great position to Falmouth town, 7 minute walk. The only negative i have is parking, one space down a bad conditioned road, not great for low profile vehicles. Also its a struggle to park outside on the road, very busy. Having said that we would recommend this beautiful house.

It's a stunning property, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Everything about the house screams quality and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.

We absolutely loved our stay at sailors.

The property is just as described. Everywhere was lovely and clean, the attention to detail was great. Even the clocks had been changed in advance. The beds were so comfy, I am actually missing them! The cream tea and milk was lovely to arrive to. Thank you. Only a couple of very tiny negatives that didnt spoil our stay but might be useful, the heating is on and made the place way too hot for me, even with windows open it was still very hot. Two keys would have been helpful for us as there were 5 of us and we didnt always want to come and go at the same time.

Fantastic accommodation for our family.

The location was perfect - very quiet but easy to reach the town and beaches. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything you could wish for in a home from home, The beds were very comfortable. The ice machine, wine fridge, and breakfast bar were a big hit! The outside area was perfect for meals in and to watch the stars. We would not hesitate to book Sailors again when returning to Falmouth.

Sailors is a beautiful property that has been renovated to a very high standard.

We had a very enjoyable week there and the house is very well equipped with almost everything having being thought of for the guests enjoyment. The house was spotlessly clean. There were a few small points though that I will mention for the benefit of future guests; The location, while only being 2 or 3 streets away from Falmouth town centre, is very steep and includes walking down and up Jacobs Ladder steps which people with limited mobility should be aware of, and makes 'popping' into town not as easy as the location map may indicate. The parking area is very narrow and not well maintained, if you have low profile car, it will get its underside scraped. The house has hard wood floors throughout including the on the stairs, be careful, so you don't break your neck like i nearly did! Zip and link beds are a great idea for changeovers and different family's needs, but as a couple, zip and link is uncomfortable due to the lump down the middle where they join. My husband didn't sleep very well because he felt the bed was too soft. Overall, Sailors is a beautiful house, we enjoyed our stay but it could do with a few comfort tweaks.

Sailors is a lovely property and we had a great stay in Falmouth.

The house was very clean and well equipped. Good walking distance to town, but keep in mind it’s an uphill walk on the way back! This is not a problem or fault of the property, but it is spread over three floors and two of our party (1 8 months pregnant, and 1 limited mobility) did at times find it tiring. However, again just more awareness, rather than it being a problem or fault. We had no issues with the narrowness of the driveway down to the parking spot, however the driveway itself is in a bit of disrepair and no matter how slow we went, the car often scraped on the concrete/slate slabs that were in place.

Lovely property.

Great position and very well looked after. Superbly equipped kitchen for a great family experience. All furniture is good quality and comfortable. Thanks for the clotted cream and scones . A travel cot would be a useful addition. Everything was spotlessly clean and the information book provided was really handy, especially for all the audio and televisuals.

The accommodation was superb every aspect of this house was 1st class and the property has been renovated to the highest standard.

I will be taking things in this property and trying to add them to my own home and will definitely look to stay here again when I’m in Falmouth

The house was a perfect home base for our trips around Cornwall.

Wow, what can I say other than this best selfcatering property we have ever stayed in over 40 years of family holidays.

We were 5 adults & a 3 year old. We all appreciated the space, deceptive from the outside as the basement is now converted to the kitchen/living space. And 3 bathrooms so we each had our own, absolutely brilliant. It took a little while to get the hand of some of the technology in the house, you don't really want to be reading an oven manual on the first night but it was fine in the end. The outside space was great too, though the weather didn't co-operate to eat outside. We didn't have any problem parking one car in the allotted space, its not as narrow as you think & we managed to street park the other vehicle most times outside. We would love to come back & have no hesitation in recommending this property.

We loved our stay at Sailors.

Spotlessly clean, cosy, comfortable, equipped with everything and more that you could need. 2 en-suites and a separate shower room was just perfect. Fabulous outdoor space too. The management company were also amazing and very responsive with the questions we had. We were a little worried about the stairs (as one person has some mobility issues), but still chose Sailors because everything else ticked all the boxes - thankfully it worked out fine. Parking on the street directly outside the house was normally possible, otherwise the dedicated parking space was great to have. Would be my first choice to book if we return to Cornwall again.

The property is very high spec, the kitchen and living areas are fabulous, and the bedrooms are light and roomy with very comfortable beds. The open plan layout on the ground floor was perfect and offered a great space for us all to be together as a family. It rained a lot during our week unfortunately, otherwise we would have made more use of the lovely outdoor space and bifold doors. On the other hand, we were so lucky to have a wonderful house to enjoy and escape the bad weather. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and had everything we needed. We especially loved the American-style fridge freezer with crushed ice whenever we wanted! We were usually able to find a parking spot outside the house but there is private parking around the corner, although the approach to it is a little narrow. The location is good for accessing Falmouth town centre and the surrounding areas, with many nice bars, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. A wonderful house in a great location - we would love to visit again in better weather!

Fantastic clean and well equipped property, great location to walk down into Falmouth and venture further by car.

Three well appointed bedrooms and three bathrooms a welcome luxury, two lounge areas also a great addition for those moments where extra space needed. Would not hesitate to recommend as a base for exploring the local vicinity.

This is a fantastic house to stay in.

Everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We stayed with 4 children under the age of 10 and they loved it . A big plus is having two sitting rooms each with a TV (a must for rainy days). The owners have done a great job of renovating this property to a very high standard catering for all possible needs. I would highly recommend this for a great stay in Falmouth!
