  • "We have just got back from a very comfortable week at The Meadow."

Both of us plus our two dogs enjoyed exploring the Fal Estuary and Roseland Peninsula on many pleasant walks that are easily accessible due to the location of the house. Trellisik Gardens are very close by,well worth the walk up the hill ! It was great at the end of the day to relax in the comfortable sitting area or on the deck (a lovely sun trap). We found the house well equipped and everything was clean and well arranged when we arrived. We appreciated the peace and quiet of the village but be prepared to travel 5 - 10 mins in the car for any provisions, we would love to return soon.

  • "The house is beautiful as are the views from the house and the surrounding countryside."

The house is modern, spacious and comfortable. We loved our stay and loved the convenience for access to Truro and Falmouth it is in a great location. Unfortunately the property was not wheelchair accessible due to the steps at the front door and from the balcony. However, with photos of the steps and measurements, people can decide for themselves whether the steps are manageable. Luckily, I had my two portable ramps with me and used them. The property could easily be made wheelchair accessible by making the front door steps into a ramp or by buying a portable ramp for it

  • "A few minor maintenance things like blown light bulbs and slightly tired paintwork and kitchen trims, but really nothing to impact the stay."

Excellent location, beautiful and peaceful, great access to the creek via the steps. Really a special place.

  • "Lounge furnishings could do with updating and clearer instructions on how to use dryer part of washing machine."

Other than that an occasional vacuum under bed wouldn't go amiss. But overall very satisfied.

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your holiday. We have bought new sofas and rugs for the living area, but are awaiting their delivery. We will make sure the housekeeping team are aware and act on the issue of the under bed areas. Property Owner

  • "We loved this creek side home and had a wonderful time."

The linens were great and the bed comfortable. It was spoilt however by the standard of cleaning which was superficial at best. We left the kitchen cleaner than we found it. Would come back though

Thank you we are pleased that you had a wonderful time and that you want to come back. We are however very sorry about your issue with the cleanliness;this feedback is helpful and we have addressed it with the house keeping team. Property Owner

  • "House was clean and tidy and we had a lovely stay."

Some furniture is looking a little tired e.g. rug in lounge area looks a little stained and the settees are not the most comfortable. Perhaps a 4 slice toaster would be more suitable for a property for 6 people, and trays for the oven for the usual frozen chips etc would be beneficial - we could only find one deep tray to use. We have stayed a few times at The Meadow and its location is hard to beat and have rebooked for next year despite quite an increase in the rental cost.

Thank you for your feedback and continued visits. A new rug, additional oven trays and new sofas have been purchased. We very much hope this will make your make stay more comfortable. Property Owner

  • "There were some plates & pans which hadn't been washed properly and the oven & refridgerator hadn't been cleaned properly."

The shower in the en-suite had 3 settings which should have been different but in fact did exactly the same thing - the water just came out at a dribble.... Apart from that, lovely as usual!

Thank you for your feedback and continued visits. The shower in the en-suite has now been replaced, which will also greatly improve the water flow. In addition we are sorry you had an issue with the utensils. This is helpful to know so we can feed this back to the housekeeping team. Property Owner

Kitchen well equipped Parish walking trails in a pack - these were really helpful for someone like me who didn't know the area well.

  • "The Meadow was absolutely fantastic, that good that we have booked again for next year."

The spot is peaceful and quiet but you can easily get to anywhere as the roads around are not rammed with traffic. The accommodation was superb with loads of cooking stuff, bedding and towels, plenty of hot water and heating if required. We cannot wait to go back next year, highly recommended.

  • "Brilliant location, with stunning views."

Comprehensively equipped. High standard of fixtures and fittings. The only downside were the settees. One was very unsupportive and soft, the other one was a sofa bed. Uncomfortable after sitting on it for a short period of time. Not sure why there would be a sofa bed to sit on, when there are 3 King size bedrooms.

Very comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean, and in a beautiful setting.

  • "We returned for our third stay at the Meadow and, as usual, thoroughly enjoyed our holiday."

The position of the house is fabulous and we never tire of the view and spent quite a lot of time paddle boarding or walking by the creek at low tide! Everything in the house met our needs although a four slice toaster would suit a family of six rather than the rather slow two slicer! Also, oven trays for cooking frozen foods. The information folder in the house stated that bin and waste collection was Friday, but it appears to be Thursday, so this information may need altering. Booked already for next year - any chance of a guarantee of another two weeks of sunshine?!!

We are very glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back next year. Thank you for your useful feedback which we will take into account. However I would just like to reassure guests that we arrange for private rubbish collection which IS on a Friday. I think it may be the council one that is on a Thursday. Property Owner

Disappointed in the huge number of emails that Sykes send out generally, which are unrelated to the holiday booked. Far too many promotional emails sent I feel.

  • "The Meadow was amazing, well equipped and extremely comfortable with views to rival anything the continent has to offer."

15 days of sunshine with no rain for us and our German guests made for a fabulous holiday. Hayley and Mark (caretakers of the property) were on hand to deal with any issues or concerns and they ensured our bed linen was changed halfway through our stay. We were sad to leave.

  • "It was a wonderful relaxing and peaceful location with fantastic views from inside and outside the bungalow."

Very well equipped and furnished. One very small thing to mention - the Sykes website or the details that we viewed said that dogs were not allowed on the furniture or on the beds (both of which are expected and totally fine) - what wasn't made clear was that our dog was not allowed past the door separating the open plan area and the bedroom area. As he always sleeps on a bedroom floor at home this proved a little challenging! But he was fine tucked up in his travel bed in the open plan area once he had got over his anxiety over the first night......... I hope we get the chance to stay at the Meadow again.

  • "We had a lovely stay, but feel that the mattresses in the rooms need attention as they felt worn out."

Equally the sofa in the lounge area was a little uncomfortable for the same reason. Apart from that the cottage was beautiful and the position was perfect, with the steps down to the creek. We enjoyed our stay and even though we didn't sleep very well, would love to stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback, we are happy you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry to hear you found the bed and sofa uncomfortable. This is down to personal preference, they are relatively new and we have not had any further complaints. Thanks Again for your feedback, Kind Regards. Property Owner

  • "We had a great time staying at The Meadow."

The location is fabulous and the children loved playing in the garden. The house is well planned for both adults and children and allows everyone to be together whether cooking, playing, eating or generally sharing time together. We did encounter a few small issues that could increase the "fabulousness" of the house ( we left a note of these for the people servicing the house): * The kettle needs replacing - it leaks and on occasions switched itself on and off. * Storage in the bedrooms is a little tight - there are no chests of drawers in any of the rooms for your "smalls" and other clothing items. * The freezer did not freeze very well - mini milk ice lollies became mini milk drinks! These are only small niggles, though, and we hope to be back again next year.

Thank you for you feedback - the Meadow now has a new kettle and replacement fridge freezer - we hope you enjoy your ice lollies next year! Property Owner
