"The apartment was spacious, well equipped and centrally located for Falmouth."
The views from the lounge are superb and the proximity to local facilities was excellent. The property is well furnished and there are several appliances provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The sleep quality was excellent and the area was silent during the night. The instructions provided for the key safe, door codes and car parking were easy to follow. We had no problems with parking for ten minutes on the lower access road whilst popping into the apartment. I would certainly recommend this property and would definitely consider returning for future holidays.

"Port View is a lovely spot to stay, relax and watch the changing scene of Falmouth Harbour."
Location is excellent, though hilly and quite a few stairs, so not for everyone. Sue is a lovely host. Thanks!

"The parking arrangements with key, fob, garage access were complicated."
The instructions for how to use the garage did not match the reality and it was a case of working out how to leave garage key in the property on departure and get the car out of the garage - seemingly with no garage key!The garage doors supposedly (as per instructions we were given) opened automatically if you wanted to drive out. This was not the case.
Other than that this was a lovely spotlessly clean property with a spacious lounge diner, fabulous views across the harbour, close to town but no town noise.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we are pleased to hear you found the property to be spacious and enjoyed the fabulous views. It may seem to be a matter of moving the car closer, for the fob to work, but we are currently looking into this.

"Where does one start?"
Port View is one of three apartments on different floors (number 5), above us was the quiet number 6, but on the top (number 7) was a different kettle of fish. Our first night was ruined by the noisy sounds of a music rave which lasted until the early hours of Saturday. We had an inkling something was wrong when around 4pm on the Friday afternoon, when a number of people entered the complex (our apartment is right by the front door) shouting on the stairs etc, and our concerns grew when loud music began to play. The volume increased during the evening and at that point we were thinking of going home. We went out for a meal hoping on our return everything would have quieted down. No such luck, in fact on our return we saw for ourselves one young man shouting from a top window, the entry code to the complex to his mates below on the road. Consequently more people entered the building and we began to feel nervous of what could happen to us. Next day we informed Sykes and to their credit got things sorted out with a promise we would not be disturbed again. (Port View is the only apartment under Sykes’ control) The rest of the week was quiet, but it did leave us on edge waiting for something else to kick off.
Another problem about Port View is where it is. We read the owners instructions on how to find the apartment which were wholly inadequate and poorly written, in fact it needed a phone call to the very helpful manager (Sue) prior to going, to sort out how to approach the building.
Another hassle was the parking of the car in the allotted parking space. Our car is a Mini but we still found it tight. One morning we entered the garage to find another car parked right by us which would have prevented us from accessing the car (by luck we hadn’t planned using it), if we had it would have required one of us to open the car window and squeeze through head first!!
Overall it was a hard holiday, unable to really feel relaxed, with concerns over apartment 7, and issues with the parking. This leads to the question of Port View’s suitability as a holiday let, and should it really be included in Sykes’ portfolio?
Can I end stating once again that the company did a great job in handling our problems and concerns, we had no complaints about the comfort of Port View either, but needless to say , we will not be coming back.
Thank you for your feedback, we do take this seriously. We are pleased to note that you scored Port View highly for comfort, cleanliness and facilities and this reflects our other excellent feedback. With regard to the disturbance, we do apologise for this, but this is the first time that we have received any noise complaint whatsoever at the apartment. This was a most unfortunate one-off event, and as you have mentioned, immediate action was taken to resolve the situation once we were informed by Cornish Cottage Holidays/Sykes. As promised, there was no recurrence during your stay. We are fortunate to have a parking space, as car parking in Falmouth can be difficult to find. The size of the space is clearly shown on the property listing and prior to your stay you were sent detailed driving directions and given the opportunity to request an additional adjoining car park space for a small charge. We're pleased to hear that Sue was able to assist you with directions to the apartment, she is indeed very helpful.

"Fantastic location near central Falmouth
Well maintained smart property
Amazing view of harbour
I would love to stay again
but on this occasion I specifically needed a car parking space as I was transporting a full load; this was the priority for my accommodation search."
It was only few days before I went that it became apparent space was only for a small car. I went down few days later and had to leave car a good distance from the property and hope- .all was well but it caused some anxiety and shortened my trip. This should form core of property information.
Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback. We are so glad that you had a lovely stay and enjoyed both the property and its location. On the website It does state that parking is suitable for a small or medium sized vehicle such as a Ford focus, it is not suitable for wide or high vehicles such as SUVs. Also that guests can contact the owner for information and alternative options, additional adjoining car park space for a small charge if available. We do hope very much to be able to welcome you back again at a later date.
