  • "I found the new settees very good for looking, and for comfort."

The new balcony floor. Sadly the outside furniture is still broken on almost every arm of chairs. It really is time indeed since 2023 , now 3 years been coming for. 4 weeks at a time! Good for me as I can only go out with help of my son,who lives on his boat in Mylor harbour and on a swinging mooring. He spends some nights with me. He also comes in from work. So it is great to see more of him for a four week time. I have not booked yet for similar dates next year yet,as I was horriblely scammed badly earlier this year. So waiting to pay deposit. It is supervised by Kylie, who is fabulous if I need help. As initially the WiFi was not working. I phoned Plusnet ,and Kylie came to Jane Lane and sorted it out. Apparently it did not have an ethernet cable,so she went right out and came back with a new cable she had bought, and was fixed at once. I can only sit on balcony to see the sea and boats, as much illnesses and injury. So is about only great holiday for me. Best wishes for Kylie and her team, also the New owners I believe. • "We have stayed here before, it’s a great location and truly has potential however other holiday makers like us have commented on several things."

Sofas are old sag and uncomfortable. Balcony furniture is old and rickety. These comments have been ignored by the previous owners, I hope the new owners add a bit of TLC to the property. There is also an issue with the upstairs neighbour. They seem to either wash their balcony or water plants, which then drips down on ours. One evening whilst dining it dripped down onto our balcony table.

  • "Our stay at the property was disappointing for the following reasons."

:- The two sofas were dreadful and should have been replaced as promised in last years reviews we returned home with severe backache . The TV was unnecessarily complicated to work. The electric oven only got warm but never hot. There was no coffee machine or even a cafetiere as one would reasonably expect. For some reason it appears all previous reviews have been removed convenient for the owners re the awful sofas. !! We feel more strict control should be exercised over owners regarding the adverse reviews. We were not happy with this property and we have booked many holidays over the years with Sykes.
