  • "The cottage was exactly as described and was very comfortable."

A lovely surprise was the afternoon tea that was left for us in the fridge along with bottle of milk and it was all lovely. We had a a lovely relaxing week ,the animals were good as well. Would highly recommend.

  • "Woolley welcome was a home from home."

Everything that we needed for our stay away. The cottage was cosy warm and very welcoming. The conservatory was an excellent place to read, watch the animals and eat just a brilliant place to relax. The animals on the property were just wonderful to watch and we loved being met by the dogs who once they met you loved a good old fuss. The owners were fantastic and friendly we were reassured if we needed anything or any advice on local area just to contact them. There are two pubs walking distance and both were friendly. There’s a general store just walking distance and a post office. The property is in a great position to travel around West Cornwall. Woolley Welcome you were amazing Thank You.

  • "Tremellon Farm is a great place to stay."

I am over 6ft though and my wife is 5'10". I booked the accommodation knowing that the bed looked small in the photos, so I only have myself to blame, but that alone would be enough for us not to book again. When we arrived the recycling box was already full. At no point was this emptied during our stay, and we had to make a special visit to Sainsburys to sort this out. The two dogs were unwelcome. The dogs took a particular dislike to my 14 year old son and made us slightly anxious about being outside. I also think you should mention that the property is shared with other people on the site (albeit in other buildings). Seeing people wandering around was irritating. I also think you should highlight that there is no-one else staying in the other part of the building. On arrival, the internal glazed doors with net curtains made us extremely concerned we were going to be overlooked using the lounge area. While the above is all true, we did love how well equipped the house was, we were very grateful for the disposable BBQ and the garden is fantastic. On the whole the property offers VERY good value for money at peak season and is a great base (If you are a small person).

Sorry to hear that a normal standard double bed is too short for you,I’m not sure what we could have done to accommodate you even if we had known.I hold my hands up to the recycling bin being full unfortunately our stand in cleaner had missed it and I had just came out of hospital on the Friday,if you had called us someone would have gladly emptied it for you.The dogs are mentioned in the description of the property, one is a bit nervous and may bark on occasions until he gets to know you.The property is on a smallholding with animals and they do require attention feeding ,checking etc so there will be people about, sorry you found it irritating, the property has a large enclosed garden that is not overlooked and the dogs have no access to.We will get Sykes to update their description on the web about the closed off section not being occupied.Sorry the weather was not too good and thank you for your feedback. • "The house was both welcoming and immaculate, with a lovely collection of arts and crafts."

The animals definitely added to the stay and the garden was a great place to relax and eat outside. Unfortunately, for the week we were there the weather was terrible but the accommodation really helped make up for this.

  • "Another wonderful holiday at Woolly Welcome."

The home has everything you could possibly want in a holiday let, plus a beautiful garden in which to relax and enjoy. Our children had a great time. The property is ideally situated for visiting the major attractions in Cornwall. The local pubs are well worth a visit and there's a public park nearby to tire out the children when they get tired of the beach. Mel and Stuart are so friendly and helpful, and also respect your privacy. We hope to come back yet again sometime in the future.

  • "The Woolly Welcome cottage itself was wonderful."

The massive conservatory is a lovely place to relax, and there's a dining table in it too, so you can eat there if you want to. All the animals lend the place real character, and the two sheep are like no sheep I've ever seen before. They're big and chunky, and very friendly. They come up to you by the fence, and love to have their heads, ears and faces tickled, like big dogs or cats! The location of the cottage is brilliant. Just a few miles from Penzance, and Falmouth isn't much further. There are many lovely little villages, both inland and on the coast.

  • "The photos did not do justice to this lovely holiday home."

The house has everything you could want, being clean, tidy and spacious, but the real star of the show was the garden. We all enjoyed hours of relaxing fun there, which was certainly helped by the excellent weather. We couldn’t have asked for more. The hosts were friendly and respectful of our privacy and the cream tea on arrival was greatly appreciated. Goldsithney is a lovely wee village, with two cracking pubs (good food and beer in both) and a decent play park for the kids. Nearby Marazion and Penzance have much to offer, but there are numerous excellent beaches nearby if that’s your thing. We hope to come back some day soon!

Mel and Stuart the owners who, live on site were friendly but also respected our privacy. (They have the balance just right) I would be very happy to recommend this place to both families with young children or Adults without children. The cottage is situated perfectly for exploring the whole area.

The property

Woolly Welcome is a beautiful cottage, part of a small holding, in the Cornish country village of Goldsithney.

On the small holding there are two emus, 4 alpacas, a small flock of sheep, 2 dogs and a cat, along with a wonderful landscaped garden.

Inside the retreat you will discover a farmhouse kitchen with a dining table for four people, and a collection of pictures and frames which grace the walls.

Beyond the corridor, there is a lovely light and airy conservatory drawing in natural views, covered in an almost tropical effect, with accessories scattered around.

The bathroom boasts a quirky set-up, featuring a shower, and a bath, so you can get ready in the way that suits you morning through to evening.

Choose from two charmingly presented bedrooms, the first showcases twin beds, whilst the second room is a delightful double, both with ample storage.

Lastly the lounge is neat and comfortable, home to comfy sofas, collectables, and a series of books that you can enjoy reading in your downtime.

From here, you can also access the heart-warming patio area, and enclosed lawned garden, bordered by a variety of flowers, with a barbecue and gazebo, perfect for those warm sunny nights.

Goldsithney is set back from the coast, yet lying close to all the main attractions, if you can tear yourself away from the cottage, there are seaside towns, villages and sandy beaches all within easy driving distance.

A trip to Marazion is just a short journey away, where St Michael’s Mount is a prominent feature, or maybe explore the art galleries of St Ives with its sandy beaches and boat trips.

The white sands of Sennen Cove are awash with surfers, swimmers and sun worshippers in the summer months and quiet and serene during those winter breaks.

Walkers, cyclists and horse riders will love this location with its rugged landscape and wonderful scenery.

A memorable holiday destination away from the demands of modern living, perfect for spending quality time with your loved ones.

About the location

GOLDSITHNEY

Marazion 1.5 miles; Penzance 4 miles; Helston 11 miles.

A typically Cornish country village with picturesque houses, shops and village pubs, Goldsithney is set back from the coast, thus escaping the main tourist rush, yet lying close to all the main attractions. Dominating the area and just 2 miles away is the off shore island castle of St Michael's Mount - reaching it via the causeway when the tide is out is a must. Right on the doorstep there are fabulous beaches, the coastal path (winding its way over the cliff tops) and plenty of sailing and fishing. Visit Penzance, with its slightly bohemian air, the cliff-top theatre at Minack or the stunningly beautiful fishing villages of Marazion and Mousehole - a superb base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.
