  • "Lovely little cottage away from the main campsite, Beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a great holiday Owners were friendly and helpful, but the most important part is the location- wow unbelievable views from the footpaths and fields, fantastic coastline and beaches within walking distance, The campsite has a handy shop and great cafe, where you can get coffee and cakes, fish and chips and great curries, the staff are all lovely, kind and welcoming Owls Roost is in its own garden area with three other cottages, plenty of outside seating, a fire pit, barbecues etc."

plus for a small fee you can have access to a lovely swim spa located in a pretty garden attached to the cottages Dog friendly - we can’t wait to visit again.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and appreciate you taking the time to share such lovely feedback! Hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

About the location

GORRAN HAVEN

Mevagissey 3 miles.

Once a crab fishing village, Gorran Haven on the south coast of Cornwall is ideally placed to explore the many beaches and coves in the area. Gorran Haven has a small sandy beach set behind a traditional sea wall, connecting with the longer Great Perhaver beach at low tide and is popular with families. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is readily accessible from the South West Coast Path that passes through Gorran Haven. Within walking distance are a number of more isolated beaches and the 370 feet high Dodman Point, rising above Gorran, which is thought to be one of Cornwall’s most dramatic headlands, and the cause of many a shipwreck. From its gorse-covered heights there are views across Veryan Bay to the west and Vault Beach to the east. Alternatively, you may wish to walk the coastal path to the harbour village of Mevagissey. Near Gorran Haven, in a beautiful setting of woodland, stream and pasture, is Caerhays Castle, an informal 60-acre garden on the coast near Porthluney Cove. Nearby attractions are the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and the cathedral town of Truro, with an excellent range of quality shopping and dining.

Please Note: The shared swim spa on site, will only be available for bookings between April 2024 and October 2024 from 10am – 9pm daily.
