Just waiting to receive our deposit back in full as we cleaned it very thoroughly.

  • "Very comfortable stay at Hillview."

Marvellous beach for families. Our grandchildren loved the rock pools and sea. However very expensive take away food and long queues due to the huge number of visitors. Also find having to put recycling in the general landfill outrageous due to there not being any provision for recycling collections from holiday homes in North Cornwall.

This property is part of the John Bray Cornish Holidays collection.
John Bray Cornish Holidays offers some of the best located self catering cottages and holiday homes in North Cornwall’s loveliest locations including Rock and Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, and Polzeath and Port Isaac on the Atlantic coast.

The property

Situated in an elevated position in North Cornwall’s seaside resort village of Polzeath, Hillview lives up to its name, located at the top of Higher Tristram road.

Sleeping six guests in three bedrooms, this coastal cladded bungalow with private parking is an ideal base for a family holiday near the beach. Be wowed by the stunning sea view from the open-plan sitting and dining area with ample seating and a TV.

Enjoy cosying up on the sofas together to watch a family film or to play a holiday game, or alternatively simply enjoy looking out over the garden towards the beach below, watching the local surfing scene or taking in the beautiful seaside sunsets. A spacious kitchen with breakfast bar seating for two guests provides a relaxed space for families to enjoy some holiday cooking, or simply plate up freshly baked pasties from the local bakery in the village, followed by a delectable Cornish cream tea.

Making the most of the beautiful sea view, the master double bedroom boasts a large window to perfectly frame the local coastline, as well as nautical décor, whilst a further bunk room and twin bedroom provide a peaceful oasis where guests can relax and unwind, following a day exploring Polzeath.

The contemporary family bathroom features both a bath and shower, so you can rinse off sand and salt before soaking tired limbs - bubbles at the ready. Head outside and enjoy the use of the terrace and sloping garden, where you can revel in the fresh sea breeze and play fun-filled garden games.

If you’re a keen cyclist or you’re hoping to catch a wave whilst on holiday, the garage can be used to store away your beach supplies and more, and it also boasts a washing machine.

Cycle or enjoy a five-minute downhill stroll to Polzeath beach, a popular surfing spot where you can also find cafés, restaurants, a beach shop, bakery and more.

To discover the nearby North Cornwall coastline, travel slightly further afield to Rock, either by car or via a 3.5 mile hike along the South West Coast Path which boasts beautiful views over the Camel Estuary.

To extend your day out even further, travel across the water on the ferry to popular Padstow, for celebrity chef restaurants, boutique shops, the famous Camel Trail and crabbing on the harbour. Ideally positioned and offering adequate room for beach supplies, Hillview is an ideal coastal cottage for a family holiday in Polzeath.
