  • "Great location for the beach."

Comfortable and clean. Just a couple of improvement suggestions: 1) somewhere outside to rinse & hang wetsuits. 2) Wi-Fi code given by John Bray incorrect so needs to be updated.

  • "We had a great stay at 14 Pinewood."

The location is perfect and the views are fantastic. Although it is small, it is well equipped and was clean throughout. We'd happily stay here again. We didn't have any issues with parking as there was always a space available. A few minor points that would make it even better: - upgrading the TV to a smart TV - the outdoor bin storage cupboard needs fixing as it is extremely difficult to open and close - Put a '14' sign on the outside to make it clear which one it is

  • "The place had cobwebs around light fittings and in corners."

The hoover was rammed full of dirt, wouldn’t work till I had cleaned it but was so compact it took a while. There is paint or wallpapers falling from the ceilings in the kitchen and on the bathroom. The water when you turn the taps on makes horrible loads noises that last at least 30 seconds. The carpet spike strips in the door ways stick through the carpet so you prick your toes on the spikes which myself my partner and the children did multiple times. The heater in the kitchen wouldn’t work so was cold at the back end of the flat. Eventually I managed to get it going by finding the manual on the internet and setting it up myself.

  • "Dealing with John Bray was a nightmare - they showed no flexibility at all and there was no way to speak to them just using message function."

Would never book through them again. The apartment was well located - beware there is no signage at all. I would rent again but needs some enhancements. The flat was very clean apart from the filthy drinking glasses. The shower and toilet made a very loud noise when used - needs to be fixed. Can feel springs through bunk beds. Shower door broken. Lacks a few basic things - a full length mirror being one as only one mirror in one of the bedrooms.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your stay, we do apologies if you found it difficult to contact us, I will send all your suggestions over to our maintenance team who will get this sorted. John Brays Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owners. Property Owner

  • "Initially I couldn't find the apartment, and eventually pulled in to the block next door and went to investigate on foot."

It would help to say "turn in at the sign for Pinewood Courts". The front door was tricky to unlock as the handle had to be pressed down before the key would turn. Inside was comfortable though needs a bit of work. The shower worked fine for me. It was a shame some of the windows were misted up inside the double glazing. I had to phone James Bray to ask about the Laundry Bag as there isn't one so was told to just leave used bedding and towels in a pile. However I loved staying here and it was a good location with a lovely view.

We have been reviewing all of our feedback over this years season, we just wanted to say a massive thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. • "The shower failed twice leaving us on two separate days without the ability to wash properly."

The initial fix when we out was clearly a hitch, 3 days later we were in when the guys came round - they said the shower was the wrong installation and was demanding too much electricity therefore would continue to trip unless we used it on “Eco” mode, which is a dribble. Unsatisfactory

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you had the chance to make the most of the local amenities. We appreciate you bringing the issue of the shower not working as it should but would like to assure you that this has now been remedied. We hope to welcome you back to north Cornwall in the future. • "Conveniently situated for the beach, albeit a short walk up a steep hill."

Clean, tidy and well-equipped. Plentiful heating and hot water available if required. Bunk mattresses very thin and uncomfortable. Double glazing misty obscuring the amazing views. No iron or ironing board, wasn’t a disaster but what if it was a work trip or you were going to a wedding? An odd collection of too small, mismatching mugs.

  • "Lovely apartment in a brilliant location, close to everything and right by the lovely Oystercatcher pub."

The place was a little hard to find & not easy to track down when trying to navigate the large hill it’s on. You can load up outside though to unpack once you've found it. The place was big and spacious, and incredibly quiet which was very restful. It has everything you need for a stay. We however could not find the right key to dispose of the rubbish and recycling so had to take it all home - we tried every key! Also, we couldnt mind the laundry bag for the bedding and towels so clearer instructions on that and the bins would be useful. We also discovered a cupboard with body boards etc on the hunt for bins which would’ve been nice to know about and saved us renting them on the beach. Really recommend the walk to Rock/Padstow and the Oystercatcher pub and Waterfront restaurant were divine.

  • "Overall a very good stay."

Location is key as many have said before. The flat could do with some general TLC as worn in places. It would also be good to fix the windows as lounge in particular has so much condensation in between the windows that you cannot see the view through it. Also the sink leaks in the bathroom. And the bin storage key is not obvious - so much so it was locked and we had to put our rubbish in the holiday rental bin opposite. But overall a great base in which to explore the beautiful surroundings of Rock, Daymer & Polzeath.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at this property, it was very comfortable and clean, with good heating and hot water throughout our stay."

The views from the lounge windows are beautiful, with perfect bay seats to enjoy them. The only points that we’re not accurate is that there is no overnight parking at the suggested Tristram car park, the alternative is the beach park itself. Also the front door was not very well sign posted so a little difficult to find initially. Other then this we loved our stay.

The glass has blown in the windows of the sitting room and for the cost of the property we believe this should be replaced.
