The property

Seamay is a newly renovated holiday home enjoying a peaceful location, beautiful garden and is a short walk from the rock pools and surf of Polzeath Beach and its seaside village amenities.

Seamay comfortably offers accommodation for eight people, an ideal retreat for families, friends, and couples looking to have a relaxing seaside getaway or a base to enjoy surf, sand and sunsets.

With driveway parking for two cars and an EV Charger, the private no-through road is a stone’s throw from cafes, shops and surf schools of Polzeath and quick and easy access to The Southwest Coast path.

Seamay is also within walking distance of the popular Oyster Catcher pub where you can enjoy classic pub food and a cold local beer.

Located on the beach is The Surfside and Rum Bar, great for local surf and turf or a sundowner. Step straight inside Seamay’s ample boot room, then on into a bright, open-plan living space, with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and comfortable sitting area.

Sliding glass doors lead from here out onto a furnished, decked balcony, overlooking the well-maintained gardens.

Relax here with a glass of wine as the sun sets or a morning coffee. Seamay has Smart TVs, WiFi, plenty of kitchen facilities and a Neff coffee machine (please bring pods!), along with generous dining space.

On cooler evenings, you can retreat to the sitting room, home to a log burner, ideal for warming up after a day of exploring the coastline. The open-plan living space and sitting room offer access to the large decked, furnished balcony.

For a bit of friendly competition, head down to the lower-ground-floor games room, equipped with a pool table and wall-mounted Smart TV.

If you need to catch up on some work or simply want a quiet space, the lower-ground-floor study offers a peaceful retreat.

This floor also houses a Utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airer, sink, ironing board and iron.

There is an additional cloakroom on this level. The four bedrooms at Seamay offer a super-king-size bedroom, with a patio door and the option to be set up as a twin, on request.

The master king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the second king-size bedroom or zip/link twin has a private decked balcony overlooking the garden.

The fourth double bedroom overlooks the garden and all are serviced by a large walk-in shower in a family bathroom. From Seamay it's easy to explore the scenic coastal paths leading to Trebetherick Point and Pentire Point, with breathtaking panoramas of the rugged cliffs.

For the more adventurous, The Rumps offers hikes with awe-inspiring views, while the hidden gem of Lundy Bay is ideal for a peaceful picnic or a day of rock pooling. A short drive away is the lively village of Rock, with delicious seafood dining, or from where you hop on the ferry to the renowned foodie destination of Padstow, famous for its charming harbour and selection of restaurants.

Just beyond Port Isaac is Port Gaverne, which is great for paddle boarding, coasteering and lunch.

Your seaside escape at Seamay promises to be a memorable experience and a lovely base from which to explore North Cornwall. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £450.

About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
