  • "Perfect house in a magical location."

The cottage is beautifully decorated and with lots of local art and furnishings. Mousehole itself didn’t disappoint and the local shops and pubs are really lovely. Ideal spot to see that West part of Cornwall. We enjoyed the games provided and the supplies of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. We would highly recommend anyone to stay at Mermaid Cottage.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased to hear that your visit to Mermaid Cottage was enjoyable. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Cottage, set in the heart of beautiful Mousehole."

The cottage is set over 3 floors and was perfect for us and our two teenagers. The ground floor was very homely with a comfy sofa and large family breakfast table, where we enjoyed sitting together and playing the board games provided! All mod cons. Only downside was no washing machine. Upstairs the rooms were bright, airy and quiet. Beautiful bathroom which felt new and clean. Great shower and bath. Mousehole itself is in a perfect location and with easy access to some great beaches for surfing and fantastic walks. We hope to stay again!

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time in Mousehole and found the cottage clean, modern and comfortable. Unfortunately, we haven't yet worked out where we could fit a washing machine, which we agree is a shame! We fell in love with the Range cooker and now there's no room :-). We look forward to welcoming you back again. Property Owner

Mermaid Cottage offers a great location for a family getaway, complete with stunning sea views, flexible sleeping options, and well-equipped, self-catering lodging, all within walking distance of a hub of facilities and the beach.

Before heading to your new abode, park your car in a nearby public car park.

Start your getaway in the open-plan living area, where you can relax on the plush sofa while the woodburning stove is lit, prepare delectable meals in the kitchen area and enjoy a bottle of wine with your dining companions; there's even a useful wine chiller to keep your drinks cool and ready for serving.

As the day gives way to night, find the bathroom, and relax with a luxurious soak in the free-standing tub, or use the walk-in shower facilities if you'd rather have a refreshing shower.

Choose between three stylish bedrooms, a twin (zip/link), a king-size room on the second floor, or a bunk room on the second floor.

Awaken to your morning routine before heading into the village, where you'll find a deli and supermarket, 2 Fore Street Restaurant, and the Four Teas Cafe Mousehole, all of which will ease your self-catered stay.
