It was modern but very comfortable and homely. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Bathroom and shower room were lovely and towels were fluffy. Kitchen had everything you need. Helston was a good base with plenty of shops nearby. it was a lovely touch to have a bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, biscuits and a vase of lovely roses. Best of all was Marisa's warm and friendly welcome. We will go back.

First impression as you walk in 10/10 show house springs to mind, beautiful kitchen and dining area with large bathroom, washing machine and a dryer under the stairs. As you walk upstairs there’s a kitchenette and large living room, down the hallway there’s another large bathroom, second bedroom and large main bedroom? Well thought out design, you will not be disappointed with this property. Lovely hostess to make your holiday memorable, with ideas of places to visit, any queries answered.

The extra little touches - fresh flowers, chocolates, prosecco - were very welcoming, and Marisa herself was an excellent host, doing all she could to help us feel "at home". The overall high quality of the accommodation was further complimented by the patio and seating areas, which were much appreciated on sunny days. We would definitely love to return! Presented immaculately and some lovely little touches on our arrival and during our stay. Our host was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.

  • "The Crest is a beautiful cottage in a quiet cul de sac, with easy parking outside."

It is luxurious with some lovely attention to detail. Bedroom blinds that are operated at the touch of a button, a kitchenette in the sitting room for making drinks as well as a lovely kitchen downstairs for producing meals, are some pleasing features. The overall feeling is one of space. The sofas are comfortable as is the large bed. It was pristine in decoration and cleanliness. Lovely treats were left by the host, Marisa and nothing was too much trouble! Marisa is a great host and contributed enormously to us two enjoying our stay as we knew if we had any problems, she was there and very willing to help! We are a couple in our seventies and pretty active, but it was still reassuring that Marisa was next door should we need to ask her anything! The Crest is situated in Helston, placing you well for visiting all the local sights for this part of Cornwall. If you haven’t already gathered from my comments so far, I highly recommend The Crest both for the accommodation and situation. If I could give it ten stars. I would ! If you can’t book this year, it’s worth putting on your list for next as I know it’s pretty booked up!!

We were impressed with how Marisa and Alan kept in touch with us both before and during our stay. Very accurate directions and holiday advice (things to do) provided prior to leaving. Nice touch Upon arrival we were greeted with a beautiful welcome of flowers, prosecco, chocolates and biscuits. What a wonderful gesture and most thoughtful. A great start to our stay The Crest is full of wonderful modern features including the heating system and an amazing huge shower. So good we wanted to bring it home. A beautiful well equipped and furnished kitchen that we loved and felt most at home in. More modern electronic touches in the living room.
