  • "The house is brilliant—huge, very well maintained, and well equipped."

    It could benefit from a games room (such as a pool table). The four electric bikes provided are adult‑only, which disappointed our children as they weren’t able to use them. The location is quite deserted, with not much to do locally, although the nearby beaches are stunning. The hotel connected to the house could do with updating, although we understand parts are being refurbished. We ate in the restaurant once but did not feel it was worth returning. We were disappointed that the outdoor pool, which was described as heated and was the main reason for choosing the property, was unusable during our stay due to a broken cover. No alternative solution was provided. As we paid a premium specifically for use of the pool, this significantly affected our experience. While the hotel has an indoor pool, it is small, requires advance booking, and sessions are limited. Would we stay again? Probably not, due to the pool being unavailable for the duration of our stay.

Savour a home cooked meal at the dining table before settling into the sitting room for a relaxing evening in front of the TV.

A convenient cloakroom with a basin and WC completes the ground floor.

Upstairs, discover four beautifully appointed bedrooms.

We're thrilled to announce that the Polurrian has reopened its doors as of Friday 27th March 2026, marking an exciting new chapter in the hotel's story!
Our major extension and improvement scheme is well underway, and we are delighted to be welcoming guests throughout the remainder of the project. The works include a stunning new Function Suite (accommodating up to 120 persons), 10 new luxury bedrooms, and extensive new Wellbeing & Leisure facilities - including an Infinity Pool with a partially retractable glass roof, four Spa Treatment Rooms, and a beautiful Alfresco Dining Terrace with breathtaking views of Polurrian Cove and Mullion Island.
The main on-site works commenced in January 2026 and are scheduled for completion by March 2027. We have carefully planned each phase of the project to minimise disruption to your stay, and we will keep our guests and the local community fully updated as works progress.

MULLION

Helston 5 miles; Lizard Point 5.5 miles.

Mullion is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, five miles south of Helston and just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Mullion is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
