  • "We really enjoyed our stayed and The Maples provided the perfect base for exploring Cornwall."

The Maples is spacious and well equipped; it was ideal for us as a family of two adults and a child. We were disappointed on arrival to be kept waiting beyond the 4pm check-in time as the caravan wasn’t ready. We appreciate it was half-term and a busy time for the cleaning team, but a 4pm check-in is late; especially after a long journey too. Soon after unpacking we could smell a strong odour of urine in the main bedroom, on the left hand-side of the bed near the en suite bathroom and the carpet felt damp. We reported this the following morning and was assured the cleaning team would rectify. They didn’t that day so we reported it again the following day and the cleaning team then came in. This slightly spoilt things for us. The facilities on site are great for families - the outdoor heated pool, playground and play barn are ideal. We also liked that the site is fairly small and doesn’t feel commercialised. We would return without hesitation as long as the leak/ odour issue is resolved!

Thank you for the feedback I'm really disappointed to hear about your experience in our Lodge I have been told by the sites cleaning team that due to the length of time that the accident was left unreported, the job took longer than expected to clear. I was also told that this situation is very rare and occurred when the site was at it's peak of activity. Please accept my sincere apologies for your experience in our Lodge and I hope to see you back at Meadow Lakes in the near future Colin Denton Property Owner
