The property

Driftwood Cottage is a picture-perfect stone-built semi-detached cottage, and is situated in Porthpean village with exposed beams, wood burning stove and sea views.

The front door leads into the open plan living area with dining area and sitting area with TV woodburning stove.

Leading off from there is a well-equipped kitchen.

Upstairs is a double bedroom and a single, which has a pull-out bed beneath the single bed, which can accommodate a child or when presented as a single room, there is space for a cot.

Set back from the lane which runs down to the sea, there is space to sit in front of the cottage and watch the hypnotic roll of the ocean.

Situated just a short stroll from the long stretch of sandy beach at the peaceful village of Porthpean and commanding far-reaching sea views over St Austell Bay, perfect for those who simply want to relax and connect with the coast.

Guests here will find it convenient for exploring the scenic coastal footpath, spending lazy days on the beach or golfing at Porthpean's scenic 18-hole course without relying on a car.

Within easy driving distance are the charming fishing village of Mevagissey and the historic harbour town of Charlestown, home to a magnificent fleet of square riggers, or tall ships as they are better known.

The chic waterside town of Fowey is approximately nine miles from Porthpean, and a day in the town is a must.

With a wide choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as many galleries and boutique shops in which to browse, there is something for everyone.

Tawe-inspiring gardens at the Eden Project and The Lost Garden of Heligan are near, and there is a supermarket within a 5-minute drive.
