Fantastic accommodation in a lovely setting, and ideally situated for visiting both the West and South coastline.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage.

Friendly welcome, everything as expected.

Lovely isolated property for a break, yet close to Lostwithiel centre and nearby beaches and countryside. Will hopefully be able to return next year. Just remember to duck when you go in !

We had a lovely, relaxing and peaceful time staying at The Mill.

The surroundings were beautiful. It was in the perfect location for visiting many lovely places. The garden was perfect for our dog as it was completely enclosed, so it was very safe for him to play in. Jamie, the owner, made us feel most welcome during our stay and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Beautiful accommodation in a glorious setting. Great holiday for our dogs too with a nice garden and they enjoyed the meadow for an early morning stroll. A lovely welcome from the owner who really made us feel at home. Thanks for a great time, we hope to be back!

Wonderful small property, ideal for the 2 (nearing retirement) of us and the dog.

Remote enough to not suffer from road or any other noise but within easy 10 to 15 minute driving distance of plenty of attractions wether it be Par beach, Eden project, country parks or National Trust house and gardens. Property was more than enough for our needs and well looked after. Owners are on hand for anything you may need. A great little find that we will definitely use again.

A very pretty cottage set in the heart of the countryside, yet close to amenities.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and greeted us on arrival. Unfortunately the weather was against us but it did mean we saw the water wheel in action. It was spotlessly clean, well maintained and cosy. Lots of lovely places to visit like the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock and the villages of Fowey, Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro, or further afield like St Mawes, Newquay and Padstowh. We will definitely come back, probably in the spring when we'll hopefully see the barn owls. Thank you for a lovely break.

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful on arrival and there was lots of information available on the surrounding area. One of the best self catering dog friendly bookings we have ever made!

The Mill is a wonderful place to stay.

Very clean with all the comforts you need. Perfect for dogs with large area right outside your door to explore. Jamie was a perfect host. Lovely touches included, dog basket with bowls poo bags , blankets and towel included. For humans, milk and eggs . Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon .

Very dog friendly and a great base for touring around the area, being being a short drive from the attractions of both the north and south coasts. The best we have stayed in.

Lovely old mill, very comfortable & clean.

Couldn’t ask for more. Nice touches of greeting pack of milk cream eggs etc. very relaxing & quiet. Enclosed garden & paddock was great for Woody to stretch his legs & Jamie the owner was very helpful & welcoming. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay. Thank you. Mark, Sarah & Woody.

We have visited Cornwall annually for the last 20 years, staying at different holiday cottages each time.

The Mill is the best place we have stayed in all that time. Everything was perfect. The accommodation was 5 star, the setting was perfect for us and our dogs. The village of Lostwithiel was beautiful with great restaurants and independent shops. The locals were extremely friendly. Lastly, the owner of The Mill is the most delightful man.

Jamie the owner of the property was very welcoming.

James has thought of everything from salt in the cupboard to mowing a maze in the pasture. We will certainly be booking again.

The cottage is beautiful furnished, very comfortable and in a perfectly tranquil location. Jamie was a friendly, welcoming host and the cottage had everything we needed. We would love to return.

We had a lovely stay at The Mill.

Situated in the countryside but only a short distance from local towns and villages. Extremely well equipped for both humans and dogs. Comfortable and peaceful, well furnished and homely .Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Did not need anything, but owner on site checking if we needed anything. A lot of thought has gone into this holiday cottage . If the weather is bad there plenty to occupy you , very eco friendly accommodation. Would have loved to stay longer , sadly due to family circumstances this was not possible. Would recommend

This property is an absolute hidden Gem!

Enchanting, quiet, comfortable and well equipped. Pleasure to have Smart TV, Nespresso coffee machine and proper cutlery and crockery. Lovely garden and the meadow is a real bonus for dog owners and nature lovers. And loved the resident Barn Owl :) However the best thing is a dog friendly property where the owner absolutely understands and loves dogs! So much to do in the location - Lanhydrock House, Eden Project, Restormel Castle are obvious 'must sees' but actually Wheal Martyn was our favourite day out. An absolutely exceptional stay, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for a great holiday!

We had a wonderful stay at The Mill, The location is perfect, peaceful and tranquil, yet close to so many great places to visit.

The cottage was exactly as listed, if not better – clean, comfortable, and full of charm. It was very dog friendly and ideal for our two dogs, who settled in straight away. The meadow just behind the property was a fantastic bonus, perfect for morning walks and letting them safely explore. But also ideal even if you don’t have dogs, there were no obvious signs of previous dog visitors. Jamie, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and kind and especially understanding about our nervous dog, which we really appreciated. It made us feel instantly at ease. I’ve already recommended it to my family, and we will definitely be coming back – it’s the perfect halfway point between our daughters in Plymouth and Devon. The Mill was such a beautiful property,really cosy and set in beautiful surroundings,our 2 dogs loved the open field and walks in the paddock,Jamie met us on arrival and was really welcoming,quite central to lovely walks and places to visit and dine out,really lovely to kick back and relax.

Fantastic lovely place to stay can't wait to come back again

We were made to feel most welcome in this cosy, comfortable property, including our dog Holly who had her own welcome basket with a blanket and bed,towel,treats etc.

The essentials in the fridge were much appreciated on arrival too! We loved the peaceful tranquility of the surroundings and enjoyed walks in the adjacent meadows and quiet lanes. Jamie was a very welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning!

The Mill is a lovely reverse level property in a quiet area, no traffic noise, yet still not too far away from shops & pubs.

The property was very clean & had everything in it that you need. All of the products in cottage were eco friendly, so there is no need to take shampoos or any cleaning products or you own. Jamie the host is very welcoming, and made sure we had everything that we needed. We appreciated the milk eggs butter & cream left for us & not forgetting the chocolate Easter Bunny. We had wonderful 5 nights at the Mill . We wish Jamie all the best in this his first season as owner
