Destiny Cottage

Lovely property in great location Front door could do with adjusting before a pane of glass goes,missing few basics like working hoover mop or brush.

Also no refuse bins or recyling facilities which found hard to beleive in heat

Cottage lovely had a fantastic stay front door needs attention very difficult to shut.

Cosy cottage,short walk to village down steep hill with no footpath, or alternatively take wooded footpath a bit longer, had trouble closing the front door,had to slam it very hard to get the lock to engage,called number in welcome book,spoke to guy who said he would sort it ,but never did.

Washing machine was in the shower room which was a bit strange,sofa could do with a steam clean Other than those points mentioned above,I would recommend it, amazing farm shop and cafe a short walk through the fields with amazing sea views

Destiny cottage was perfect for us and Stan our collie.

Very cosy and comfortable. Lovely bedroom and bathroom - comfy bed. Biscuits and milk on arrival nice touch. Short distance to a good pub with good food - they had a shanty festival on which was great. Steep walk back but only a few minutes walk. Netflix on tv was a bonus and easy to use. Would love to return - weather unfortunately was not kind - quite wet, but it was always lovely to come back to such a character cottage after a day out.

We always love going to Destiny Cottage.

We have taken holidays there for several years now and it is always a joy to walk in the door. Perfect for a couple and their canine companion with a woodland walk down to the harbour just across the road. A cosy wood burning fire for winter breaks and a pretty patio to sit out in during the summer. Easy walk into Boscastle. It is truly delightful.

Very comfortable cottage with easy parking.

Good and speedy wi fi , would certainly consider re visiting. Great Farm shop just a short drive away and lovely walks to enjoy. A lovely break in a lovely location.

Hi there you really need to send a representative to view the cottage the only feature that done it justice was the bathroom and this had no proper door catch and no blind at the window

Lovely cottage, ideal location.

The parking and open area at the rear were a godsend. Two small complaints. The front door needs slamming to engage the lock and we were concerned for the glass panelling. Secondly a small blind on the bathroom window would preserve a little modesty.

Could ideally remove one kitchen cupboard and replace with a small dishwasher.

An outside umbrella would be helpful and more comfortable outdoor chairs. But apart from that everything is so good.

Delightful cottage,with a bonus of parking and good.

Wi-fi essential for us, comfy bed duvet ,sadly a little stained.Front gate needs a bit of attention! And front door very stiff, Sofa a bit tired but all in all we had a lovely stay and would be happy to return.

Lovely little dog friendly cottage with parking, just a short walk up the hill from the centre of Boscastle.

Tea, coffee and biscuits were a lovely welcome. A perfect little bolt hole for one or two. Everything you needed and very clean. Good Wi-Fi. Would definitely book again. Only tiny problem was the front door which was difficult to shut. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely property.

Small but had everything we needed.nice and close to village. I would of liked a curtain /blind in the bathroom.it did not over look a property but was conscious I could be seen. Information book was very clear and informative about the area. It was warm and cosy.clean and tidy.few cobwebs but noticed these would appear very quicly. did appreciate the free netfix for late viewing. Front door was sticking a bit but it is summer and my wood door sticks at home part of the old charm x. Very quiet.bit of a bank down to village but not far.

Lovely cottage.

We have stayed there about 8 times over the years and will be booking again for next year. Ideally situated at edge of village, just across road from footpaths to harbour and coast path.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Destiny Cottage with our two dogs.

A tiny cottage but very comfortable and it worked well enough for our needs.

Walking distance to the harbour, cafes and pubs but far enough out of the village for peace and quiet

The location is second to none.

Pubs, shop, restaurants, harbour, dog walking and parking are all easy and convenient. Destiny is a comfortable quirky cottage with good facilities. The cottage had warm background heating and the log burner worked really well. All the plumbing worked well too. The upper and lower floors are sloping and take a bit of getting used to, it can make you feel a bit giddy. but it's all character. The level walk from the cottage to the harbour along the National Trust footpath is safe, with lovely views and great for the dog. The only downside was the vacuum cleaner provided, which doesn't really work well and isn't up to the task. Otherwise this place is thoroughly recommended. Thank you.

Lovely cottage.

Great location. We have rebooked. Very cosy. Ideal for us and our two dogs. Only thing is we had to turn the air fresheners off, while we were there as my black Labrador was too sensitive to them. She wouldn’t go in her bed until we realised there was an air freshener right next to her. Look forward to staying again in the summer months.

It was a delight to stay in this lovely cottage, very well equipped, the location in Boscastle was great for the places we wanted to visit.

Local pubs that served wonderful food, little shops to have a wander, our dog loved the harbour and also the many coves we explored. Highly recommend.

A lovely comfortable stay in a quaint little cottage.

Yes it has it's quirky parts but that's to be expected in a building that's over 200 years old. Our only real problem that we had was the freezer section on the fridge was far to small. We had taken a lot of frozen food to cover a fortnights stay. This is the only thing that I would make people aware of.

Rug in living room was very dirty, also there was no mention of the steep stairs in the description.

Considering the price we paid we expected a higher standard.

I had a wonderful stay at Destiny Cottage, I could not fault it one bit, it was ideal location, clean tidy with all mod cons and very comfortable, and would recommend to my friends, and family.

Lovely cottage, our second stay and the updates are great, especially the shower, close to the village and everything you need, lovely walk down via the track opposite.

We had a wonderful stay at Destiny Cottage, the location was fantastic, the cottage was lovely and warm and well equipped.

Destiny Cottage is absolutely superb.

The location is fantastic, just a hundred yards from the centre of beautiful Boscastle. The on-site parking is very convenient too. This delightfully quirky cottage is situated right next to the National Trust Panoramic Path, which leads through the woods down to the harbour and is ideal for safely taking the dog for a walk. The cottage kitchen is very well equipped indeed. All the plumbimg and heating worked without any problems as did the wifi and all electrical items. The woodburner was easy to use and enhanced the cottage atmosphere tremendously. Comfy bed, lovely new shower and the whole place was surprisingly warm, considering it was November. Can't think of anything negative to say about this delightful place to stay. Thank you so very much, Robert & Cilla (& Louis) Nov 2023.

The cottage was in a nice location just a short walk down to the main village along a path nice walk for the dog.

The cottage itself was tidy , my only concerns were possibly leave more cleaning supplies, ie a squeegee for the shower, and a cleaning cloth for the sink, and maybe some antibacterial cleaning chemicals. Also it would be better if a clothes airer was available coat hangers in the small cupboard upstairs is cold and not suitable, . The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable humps and hollows, could really do with upgrading, . Also please put a jug in the kitchen utensils cupboard. Would definitely recommend this little cottage for a relaxing break.

The property was perfect for our needs well equipped and the shower was great.

A great location only a short walk to the amenities like shops and the 2 pubs the Wellington and the cobweb.We went to bude ,port Issac, Jamaica inn,polzeath beach which the dog loved it's very dog friendly everywhere and also fitted in 2 walks

Lovely cottage the only downside was the weather

This is a very nice holiday cottage indeed.

Clean, as described, and well equipped. We've stayed in Boscastle many times and love the area and this was a great place to stay. The footpath opposite was a Godsend, avoiding a blind bend on a hill, but it does bypass the entire village and lead you down to the harbour instead. At some point you need to brave the road! I didn't find the bed especially comfortable. Those sloping floor (expected in a Victorian cottage) left me with the sensation of sleeping on a slope! A minor point to be sure! I'd use this cottage again.

We loved the cottage perfect for my husband , myself and the dog.

Immaculately clean. I loved the shower hot water any time. Very cosy perfect for us. Being a pet owner it was quite close to the road .

Would recommend to stay in the cottage everything you need for a comfortable stay in place, location good with amenities on your doorstep, with local shops and pubs restaurants, easy reach to visit other locations

Had everything I needed. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the quaintness, however now we’ve reached the the ripe old age of 80 we’re finding uneven floors and stairs more challenging.

We also agree with a previous guest, the shower needs a large non slip mat. Altogether a nice break in a lovely area and very conveniently placed for a relaxing stay

Lovely little find nice comfortable cottage been to Boscastle many times but now we are getting a bit older the hill back up from the village is just too steep

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 week stay at Destiny Cottage, Boscastle.

The cottage was clean and welcoming on arrival with the lovely touch of complimentary milk and biscuits. It is very well equipped with all essentials in the kitchen and comfy furnishings. We enjoyed the addition of having Netflix to pass away the evenings now it's dark earlier. The cottage was ideally placed for the village and visiting surrounding areas - we particularly liked the woodland walk to the harbour which we did with the dog every day. The Cobweb pub in the village is a must for fabulous meals and the bakery was very handy for fresh bread and yummy pasties. Looking to book again for next year already.

A well positioned cottage and tastefully furnished.

The stone floor is lovely and the original oak floorboards upstairs are beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of space. However, the cottage smelled very strongly of dog and we are dog owners ourselves although we had no dog with us. Considering the small amount of soft furnishings / carpet in the design of the cottage this is hard to understand. I was forced to buy some incense sticks in the village to hide the smell. The chair/stools/sofa and stair carpet need to be cleaned and perhaps a nice stick diffuser purchased by the owner.

We have just come back from a wonderful week away at Destiny Cottage in Cornwall The cottage was lovely and very quaint and had everything we needed for a comfortable break The cottage is situated in a very easy to find location and has its own parking space which we liked We found the cottage very clean and cosy The bed was extremely comfortable after a long walk exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall Destiny Cottage is in a great location and well situated to explore this amazing area in North Cornwall We were sad to leave but will definitely be back Penny and Carl

Great to see the character retained along with modern living essentials. Maybe we were unlucky that the previous occupants had a rather whiffy dog, that was the only downside. But we appreciate it is listed as dog friendly, and it didn't detract greatly. Would certainly book again.

The cottage and garden look beautiful, lots of cobwebs and spiders inside and dirty carpet.

Nice welcome pack shame time was changed as had to hang around. The main problem with our stay was the bed, I appreciate that it is a listed cottage but the bed is not level this lead to uncomfortable nights sleep for both of us.

Lovely quirky cottage, very pretty and loved its position perfect for a holiday with our dogs.

Very pleasant building to stay in, biggest letdown was how grimey the facilities were, cheese grater had old cheese still stuck to it!

, plates and saucepans and general utensils were greasy and dirty, sofa throw was stained and dirty and cushion covers were grubby and needed to be taken off, we found a clean throw to use in a box in the bedroom but no spare cushion covers, tea towels were grubby Thick dust under the bed and beside chest of drawers, generally in need of a jolly good clean, really loved the area and location and will be back but unfortunately not to this property

A delightful cottage with a well maintained green area in front of the house which was brilliant for our dog.

Right opposite was a path leading to the harbour which meant we could access the village without walking down the steep road (no path for about 100 yards). There was an alternative path equally close which led onto the South West Coast Path. We only used the car on one day. A well equipped and maintained cottage. The stairs are quite steep and the floors give a nod to the age of the building as they slope towards the rear of the property!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Destiny Cottage .

In a great location to visit lots of beautiful places. The walk up the steep hill was a struggle but think its more about our fitness lol. Very clean and had everything you needed . Would definitely recommend and hopefully visit again soon.

We love staying in your cottage.

It's in a great location for walks around Boscastle. I love not having to use my car. The new shower was great and the up dating of the garden so you could sit outside on nice days.Also on the cool evenings the log burner was fantastic. Shame about the day bed we always thought it added to the cottages charm. But we did have a lovely week there. I am sure we will be back for another week there soon. Many Thanks.

A beautiful little cottage .

Perfect for two people. We felt at ease as soon as we entered. Lovely welcome of milk and a selection of tea. Warmth of heaters for cottage. Facilities were thoughtful and practical such as iron, hairdryer, torches , bedding, towels, all cooking utensils. Clean fresh sheets and towels. We would most definitely recommend and return. Boscastle is a friendly town with welcoming pubs. We enjoyed lovely walks . One walk can be accessed from opposite the cottage.Boscastle is a nice location to travel from to see other parts of Cornwall We had a relaxing and happy holiday staying in a home from home ! Thank you.

Ideal location

We have a lovely few days in Boscastle.

The cottage was very well appointed. The stairs were quite steep and narrow. For us the bed was too small but very comfy.

Ideal location with parking. We most certainly would go back. Great walks from cottage and also close to other places of interest. Highly recommend.
