The property

Petroc is a modern and bright eco-lodge situated on the Gwel An Mor Resort, very close to the sandy beach of Portreath in Cornwall.

Offering sea views, Petroc has a private and secure wrap around deck to relax on, soak up the sun’s rays, enjoy alfresco dining and a ‘sundowner’, or soak away in the hot tub.

The garden in front adds to the privacy feel of the lodge and provides an immediate green space for our four- legged friends. Step inside Petroc to a smart modern open-plan living space that offers serene coastal and rural views where you can relax with your loved ones or plan the exciting adventures that await. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self-catered stay, while the dining area provides the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal together. The lounge area can open out through the bifold doors on to the decking, or you can cuddle up by the woodburning stove, listen to music on the Sonos speaker, or watch your favourite show on the smart TV.

Petroc boasts three well-appointed and inviting bedrooms, each with their own smart TV for added comfort, whilst the master bedroom has a Sonos speaker.

The master bedroom features sea views from the king-size bed, an en-suite walk-in shower for added convenience, and has direct access to the hot tub.

The second bedroom offers a versatile super-king-size bed that can be configured as a twin upon request, while the third bedroom provides further twin beds for catching your night's rest. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath and rain shower over, as well as a TV so you can pamper yourself in luxury. Petroc is a bright and warm open plan living space, benefitting from air source underfloor heating.

Air conditioning has also been installed for increased guest comfort.

Indulge in the array of fantastic free amenities available at resort, where you can unwind in the indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room, work out in the gym or challenge friends to a game of tennis.

For a small fee, delve into diverse activities such as archery, fishing, or tee off on the ‘Famous 9’ hole golf course.

Base Camp is an activity centre where children can climb, bounce and let off steam.

Visit the wildlife centre to connect with nature or book on to a gin making course at our very own Tipsy Turtle gin school.

Treat yourself to some pampering with a spa treatment or dine at the onsite Terrace restaurant or ‘Outside Kitchen’ chef cooking experience.

As well as Portreath beach being a stone’s throw away, Tehidy and Illogan woods are within walking distance, whilst just a short drive away you can find space at St. Ives Bay-four miles of crescent shaped bay extending from Godrevy lighthouse to St.Ives harbour.

Immerse yourself in history in Falmouth at Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum, wander through the sub-tropical beauty of Trebah Gardens, The Lost Gardens of Heligan or the Eden Project.

Venture to St. Ives, the enchanting coastal town brimming with art and culture, where you can explore the acclaimed Tate St Ives, The Leach Pottery, or the Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Where you’ll be staying

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
