  • "We had such a wonderful stay at this lodge in Cornwall."

The setting was absolutely stunning, peaceful and with beautiful views that made every morning and evening feel really special. The hot tub was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring, and it made the whole experience feel extra luxurious. The lodge itself was clean, comfortable, and really well equipped with everything we needed for an stress-free stay. The site facilities were also excellent and family friendly, with plenty to do without ever feeling overcrowded. Overall, it was the perfect mix of comfort, relaxation, and beautiful surroundings. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Cornish getaway, and we can’t wait to return! Thank you so much

  • "We have stayed at this resort before but this accommodation was so much better as it was much more private and had an enclosed garden ."

So many of these properties have 0 privacy but this id book again based on this . It’s lovely and clean and light and bright and a bonus of tv in every bedroom which all have Netflix ect also . The outside patio is enclosed and private and a real sun trap . The kids went to base camp on site and used the climbing wall and we ate at the Terrace restaurant on site which was very good although they shut early with people being turned away at 8.30pm for food which when you are on holiday and on a resort is far to early . We ate at the Bassett arms and the Atlantic cafe bar for dinner both were good and the pod for lunch which we enjoyed . We went to the fox and hounds as always and it’s been a favourite for years as is going to the unicorn for a drink and taking the dog down the beach . The resort is in a perfect location to explore and you have supermarkets near by and plenty of places to visit . We went to Newquay , st Ives , Falmouth , Penzance , port Isaac , perranporth and to Lappa valley . I wish they had an outdoor pool also but saying that only the day we arrived and left would it have been warm enough . You can get takeaway from the restaurant to your lodge which is handy if you can’t be bothered to cook also . There’s a little farm on site younger kids would enjoy and a softplay. The enclosed garden and gated decking is really good for kids and dogs and half the reason we came back to the resort . 2 bathrooms always a bounus I think and there was also dressing gowns which are very handy to walk to the pool . Also a washer / dryer so you don’t have to take all your washing home or handy when kids get filthy and only want to wear 1 pair of shorts

Thank you for your positive review Tracey, so glad you and your family had a lovely stay at Petroc. Property Owner

  • "Petroc is a delightful holiday home."

It is wonderfully situated on site and is entirely private with a small well-kept garden. The privacy is great especially when using the wonder hot tub. Inside the three bedroom are clean, bright and comfortable - great for our three generation holiday. A lovely kitchen dining space with all mod cons and comfortable seating and a large tv with all channels to keep the kids (and adults) happy. There is everything you need for days in on site. We tried archery with our grandchildren. They used base camp with soft play and a climbing wall. on site a number of times. I thoroughly recommend Petroc. The owners are caring and friendly and left a welcome pack for us. Also we loved the small community at Portreath. A great beach for body boarding and nice cafes and restaurants. You don't need to go far from the house - just relax and enjoy.

Thankyou so much for your lovely review Patricia. So glad that you and your family had a lovely holiday at Petroc. Lisa- owner Property Owner

  • "Exceptional Stay at Lisa’s Lodge – A Hidden Gem in Portreath I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lisa’s Lodge in Petroc, Portreath, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations."

From the moment of arrival, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to ensure a truly memorable and relaxing experience. The lodge itself is immaculate – beautifully maintained, tastefully decorated, and equipped with every comfort one could ask for. The interior strikes a perfect balance between modern convenience and homely charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout. It was spotlessly clean, and everything from the linens to the kitchenware was of the highest quality. Lisa is an outstanding host – professional, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. Her local recommendations and attention to detail added a personal touch that made all the difference. It’s evident she takes great pride in providing an exceptional experience for her guests. PORTREATH

  • Truro 14 miles
  • St Ives 15 miles

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. A delightful holiday location.
