  • "Beautifully clean top speck appliances and bathroom ."

That having been said the double bedroom has no door so a family or couples may find it a bit uncomfortable as this needs stating before you book .Lack of kitchen ware no oven proof dishes or baking / pizza sheets, no salad bowls or anything you could prepare one in and no microwave .None of this is a problem if you can afford to eat out every day .Bedside lights would be good .I had to balance a flashlight on my head to read .We didn't find any drinking glasses till the day we left as they were in the highest cupboard and way for me 5"4 to reach them .I'm sure these are teething problems and the owners will Implement change .The property is also on the edge of an industrial estate so its not the first place you would choose ,with so many empty properties in Cornwall they need to up their game .

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you found the property beautifully clean, comfortable and appreciated the quality of the appliances and bathroom. We are, however, disappointed that some aspects affected your stay, particularly as several of the items mentioned were available within the property. There are bedside lights built into the bedroom, which are also dimmable. Oven trays and pizza/baking sheets are stored in the drawer directly underneath the oven, and drinking glasses are provided, although we appreciate that their location in the higher cupboard may not have been obvious or easily accessible for yourselves. We are always more than happy to help during a stay, and a quick message would have allowed us to point you in the right direction straight away. Unfortunately, if we aren’t made aware of an issue at the time, we don’t have the opportunity to resolve it. We will certainly take the comments regarding additional kitchenware and making the location of existing items clearer on board. We will also review the listing to ensure the bedroom layout is as clear as possible for future guests. With regard to the location, the property’s exact setting is shown on the map prior to booking, allowing guests to consider whether the area is suitable for them before making a reservation. As a new property, we genuinely welcome constructive feedback and will continue making improvements where we feel they will benefit our guests. We just wish we’d had the opportunity to help with some of these points during your stay, as several could have been resolved very easily. Property Owner

Enter into the living/dining room, where you can sink into the seating beside the crackling woodburning stove after a day exploring Cornwall.

Gather around the dining table to share stories from the day's adventures before settling in for a relaxing evening with the TV on.

When hunger calls, head through to the kitchen, where crisp white units and a breakfast bar create a sociable space for preparing meals.

Whip up everything from a hearty breakfast before setting out to leisurely evening suppers using local produce, keep ingredients chilled in the fridge/freezer, let the dishwasher take care of the washing up while you unwind, and make use of the washing machine to refresh walking gear or beach towels ready for another day outdoors.

Climb the cast-iron staircase to discover the two bedrooms.

Both carpeted and bright, the king-size bedroom provides a lovely place to retire after a day of adventures, while the neat twin room enjoys views towards Carn Brea and the surrounding countryside, making it equally appealing for family or friends.

Begin each morning in the ground-floor bathroom, where you can choose between a leisurely soak in the freestanding bath or a refreshing rinse beneath the walk-in shower before heading out for the day.

Fire up the barbecue for an alfresco meal, gather around the fire pit as the sun begins to set, and let your four-legged companions stretch their legs while you savour the peaceful setting.

With a shop just a short drive away and a welcoming pub within easy reach, everything you need is close at hand throughout your stay.

Spend the day at Portreath Beach, where golden sands invite seaside strolls, rolling waves tempt you to pull on your wetsuit and head into the surf, and the harbour provides a lovely spot to pause with an ice cream while watching the tide roll in.

Step back into Cornwall's rich mining heritage at National Trust - East Pool Mine, where impressive beam engines, fascinating industrial history, and knowledgeable volunteers bring this former tin mine to life.

Venture along the South West Coast Path, where dramatic clifftop walks, secluded coves, and sweeping sea views reward every step before returning to your countryside retreat.
