Strawberry Lane Cottages

The Strawberry Lane Cottages consist of a welcoming selection of four cottages resting on the outskirts of the charming town of Hayle, in Cornwall. This collection offers open-plan designs, Smart TVs, private outdoor areas, and two of the properties have ground-floor living, making it a lovely base for couples and families seeking a rural escape to Cornwall. Positioned on the outskirts of Hayle, the town boasts an array of amenities. Shops and supermarkets such as Asda for provisions, restaurants such as TERRACE Hayle, and traditional inns are all within a short distance of the beautiful sandy beach at Hayle Towan's stretching to Gwithian Beach and beyond, with Godrevy lighthouse in the distance. Swim, surf, bodyboard or rock pool, the coastline has much to offer with beach cafes for refreshment and glorious seascape views from the elevated coast path. Spy the seals and dolphins from the vantage point and enjoy dune side or cliff top picnics set against the stunning sunsets. Drive to pretty St Ives, with cobbled streets around the dinky harbour and an abundance of restaurants for all taste buds. Better still, the coast-hugging railway journey from St Erth to St Ives makes a very picturesque and relaxing train trip. Within easy reach, discover Penzance, the beautiful cove of Porthcurno Beach or dramatic Land’s End. The Strawberry Lane Cottages provide an inviting base for exploring the beauty of Cornwall.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.

Where you’ll be staying

HAYLE

St Ives 6.3 miles; Penzance 7.4 miles.

The small village of Habberley lies near the Stiperstones and has several attractive half-timbered houses including Habberley Hall which dates back to the 16th century and was once home to the Mytton family, a famous member being Jack Mytton after whom the 100 mile long Jack Mytton Way was named. The local pub also bears the family name, the Mytton Arms. The beautiful village of Pontesbury is only a few miles away and has lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. Shrewsbury is full of higgledy-piggledy streets, and a river that scoops up the town in a loop. A mix of the very old and the very new, the quirky and the one-off. Set amidst glorious countryside near to the Welsh Borders, it is one of England's finest medieval market towns. The town centre is packed with timber-framed Black and White buildings, steep narrow streets and alleyways. There are over 600 listed buildings including the Castle, now a regimental museum, and the world-famous Shrewsbury Abbey, home of the fictional Brother Cadfael.
