Mill House Barn is a delightful privately owned granite barn conversion just outside Gulval near Penzance, lying within the grounds of Kenegie Manor Holiday Park and enjoying easy access to Cornwall's finest beaches and coastal attractions.

Ideal for a family of six and two polite pets, Mill House Barn rests in a tranquil and landscaped holiday park with ample on-site facilities.

Upon arrival at the property, unwind in the charming breakout room in front of the Smart TV or continue upstairs to find an additional, well-presented living/dining room with stone accents, two large recliner sofas with handy cup holders and another Smart TV, two feature porthole windows add to the character of this space.

Progress through the property to the kitchen and discover a space that is fitted with all the essentials for those culinary delights, along with a handy tiled splash-back; after the chef of the group has fixed up a tasty meal, enjoy it with your group at the nearby dining table over a bottle of wine.

As the day draws to a close, make your way downstairs to discover two ground-floor bedrooms, an appealing double room and adult bunk room with an additional sofa bed; the bedrooms share access to a first-floor bathroom, and you will be left feeling spoilt for choice with its separate bath and walk-in shower!

Those wanting a little more privacy can climb the stairs to the second floor to find a well-appointed and very spacious master bedroom with VELUX windows, ample storage and easy access to a shower room and cloakroom on the same floor.

The bedrooms showcase azure blue touches that refer to the property's peaceful, nautical location of Cornwall.

The sunny terrace is a delightful spot to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee, descend the stairs to find a quaint patio that is ideal for dining alfresco on the lower patio with its own picnic table and benches, and opens out to an extensive enclosed peaceful shared lawn.

Teenagers may wish to hang out in the downstairs breakout room with its own Smart TV and sofa bed for ultimate relaxation!

The park is not only home to laundry facilities, but it also hosts a fabulous, indoor swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts and sauna as well as dog walking areas; meaning you can savour relaxing activities without having to travel far.

In fact, Penzance has recently been reborn as West Cornwall’s biggest foodie hotspot, with the arrival of quirky gastropubs, grown-up restaurants and an underground food scene of street food, festivals, pop-ups, and experiences including foraging and vineyard tours.

The property also benefits from being a mile from the popular Cold Streamer Inn pub in Gulval village itself, as well as the beautiful Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens and the stately, 16th century Trengwainton Garden.

Travel to Marazion and hike along Trenow Cove.

Walk across the causeway to the majestic castle on the island of St Michael's Mount, before enjoying a well-earned rest on the soft sands of Mount's Bay and Perranuthnoe Beach.

Venture a little further to St Ives and discover its eclectic art scene by touring its galleries, including the renowned Tate St Ives, before embarking on a hike along the South West Coastal Path, stopping at the scenic points of Porthminster and Clodgy on the way, and spending the afternoon paddling in the waters of Porthgwidden beach by The Island, or adventure into the surf at Porthmeor beach.

Golfers will surely enjoy a challenging round on the fine 18-hole links course at West Cornwall GC in the nearby village of Lelant.

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbour. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base.
