Lovely bungalow and garden very safe for our dog.

Very clean everywhere and comfortable beds. Central for getting about and nowhere too far. A very enjoyable stay, thankyou.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this property.

It has maintained the high standards that we remembered from out first visit about 7 years ago. The bungalow is really comfortable and in a brilliant location to access many of the picturesque towns and attractions throughout Cornwall. We would highly recommend this property and our 2 dogs loved the large enclosed garden.

My daughter and I arrived about 5.

0 pm. Had no difficulty finding the entry key. The property was in a nice clean and tidy condition. A selection of DVD and children's games etc would be a good idea for those rainy days. All appliances were in good working condition. The garden is nice and private, with trees and a nicely mowed lawn. There is a handy Spar shop a short walk away, and plenty of nice eating places within reasonable travelling distance.

Absolutely fabulous property, lovely quiet area, best nights sleep ever.

Ideal location for touring Cornwall, had a fabulous 2 week break and did not want to leave. Can highly recommend the bungalow - Perfect.

Beautiful quiet location.

The property was very clean and had everything you could need .Beds were comfy and lots of spare pillows and duvets if needed.Garden was secure and our dog loved the space and shaded areas as it was hot weather when we were there .Would love to go again .

This bungalow is well equipped, spotlessly clean, has a lovely garden, is in a very convenient location for exploring the area and for those of us with electric cars the nearby Shell garage with fast charging is a real bonus!

A great place to stay due to the property's location, cleanliness and facilities.

It had a lovely, safe garden which our dog enjoyed and, inside, it was comfortable and well set out. The kitchen was well supplied so cooking decent meals wasn't arduous. The location meant we never had to drive long distances to placed so I would heartily recommend it.

We love this bungalow and have stayed many times.

I must credit the owner for the cleanliness again, Its always 100% inside. A bit disappointed with the maintenance of the garden, the grass was covered with leaves, and because some cats use the garden as a toilet, you had to walk carefully. All in all a great place to stay and we look forward to our return

Really lovely clean bungalow.

Everything we needed. Great secure garden only a small gap found but easily covered so my 2 Greyhounds loved it. Great location for getting out and about. You needed to bring your own towels but that's not an issue. Would definitely think about booking here again.

This is a very comfortable well appointed bungalow with a nice garden that's very good for our small dog.

It's warm and snug, with comfy beds, and is absolutely spotless and sparkly.The kitchen is small but well designed, and thought has gone into equipping it for guests who like to self cater and not eat out all the time (although the nearby Punchbowl and Ladle at Feock serves great food and is dog friendly). We really love it and will certainly be booking it again when we can. My only suggestions would be (1) to include an explanation of whether we need to put the bins out or not. We thought not, but weren't sure and (2) a grab handle on the wall at the back of the bath for older people who may be a bit wobbly. But this is very minor and everything else was brilliant. The cottage is very well placed, being convenient for Truro, Falmouth, Burncoose, Trelissick, the ferry and St Just in Roseland etc as well as creeks, beaches and the A30, while at the same time being completely quiet and peaceful. We would heartily reccomend it.

The bed was a bit firm for my liking, but overall I would highly recommend this property and area if you are looking for a quiet holiday but central to many destinations

It is in a quiet area close to Truro and convenient as a base for exploration of Cornwall. The property is really comfortable, well-equipped and the driveway parking was very useful. The interior of the property was very clean. The outlook onto the garden at the rear is very pleasant and not overlooked. I shall certainly be booking this property again for next year. Thank you.

The bungalow is in a nice quiet road.

Situated very well for visiting all that Cornwall has to offer. The bungalow is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very quiet for sleeping. Every thing you could possibly need in the kitchen equipment. Well kitted out for a short or long stay. The back garden is private with wonderful trees and lawn suitable for children playing. We took our dog and she enjoyed sniffing around the garden but we kept her on a long lead. The weather was mostly wet whilst we were there and so couldn't enjoy sitting in the garden.. We would recommend a stay here if visiting Cornwall..

We had a wonderful stay.

The property was clean and in a quiet area and well positioned for shops and sightseeing. A welcome basket including bread and butter plus a few more teabags etc would be good after a long journey though. We new that there were no towels provided but I think just one towel per person would be a great addition as we flew to Cornwall and had to start buying these on our arrival. Other than that it was faultless.

Great place to stay very clean perfect we enjoyed our stay very much.

Where do I start.

We loved our week at Carlton road. The location worked really well for us, the road is lovely and quiet and within walking distance to an excellent playground for my 2yo grandson. Everywhere we wanted to go was in a driveable distance and Truro was very convenient for supplies. We enjoyed returning to the peace and quiet of Carlyon road after a busy trip out. The drive has space for multiple cars. The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. Beds comfortable. The TV was a smart TV so you could log in to streaming apps. The kitchen was well equipped and cooked all of our meals. The gardens are excellent. The back garden was secure and we spent many hours playing with my grandson - he particularly recommends the back garden for hide and seek!! Mark went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay- I had accidentally forgotten a sentimental photograph when we left and Mark got in touch and offered to post it back to me which he did taking a lot of care to get it back to me safely.

We loved this bungalow.

As a family of 3 with a little dog,who visit Cornwall every summer, we will definitely rebook this place. Great space, had a lovely comfortable feel,beautuful large gardens, ideal quiet location and ample drive parking for our van. The cottage kitchen was fully equipped and the place was spottlesly clean. We were sad to leave. Would recommend.

Bungalow was in a nice location which was quiet and with off road parking.

Garden was nice with secure area to allow dog to roam safely. Access to main roads allowed us to travel easily to all tourist attractions and the local pub (punchbowl and ladle) is a gem. Mark made us welcome and we appreciated the little touches like the orchid and especially the biscuits!

Lovely stay in bungalow in very quiet road.

Peaceful stay with off road parking and dog friendly garden. We left car on drive and walked loads, also used buses as stop is nearby and easy to get to Falmouth.It may not be the most modern of interiors but it is comfortable with plenty of space and very clean.It was our second stay and wouldn’t hesitate in booking again.

Lovely property in quiet area.

Near many lovely beaches and attractions. Gorgeous garden with spring shrubs . Well maintained property , comfortable furnishings. Our only criticism is the shower. Bath very slippery and shower rather ancient with a curtain which sticks to you. A.nice walk in shower would be better and safer or failing that a screen and a new power shower. Would definitely visit the property again though.

Second time we have stayed and we are back in September for the third time.

Lovely setting for us as dog walks and beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Garden is well kept and simply beautiful and for us it makes this so lovely. I loved the afternoons under the magnolia tree reading in the shade. Spotlessly clean, parking and lovely neighbours.. Definitely need a car but loads to do. Truro and Falmouth are a short drive away with everything you could need. Thank you again for a lovely fortnight.

Lovely bungalow in a very quiet pleasant area.

The large garden was a real bonus. Our spaniel loved it The rooms were not large but very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our only criticism is that the bathroom floor is very slippery , even in bare feet. We enjoyed our stay.

It needs to be a little bit more disabled friendly.

A grab rail in the shower and another outside the front door. Waste bin for the lounge and a bread bin. It could do with some more mugs. The property has been brilliant and with the small additions mentioned it could be even better. Excellent for our dogs with an enclosed garden. Location is 10/10. We have booked again for later in the year and will book again for 2025. Thank-you.

The cottage was warm and had comfy sofas.

The beds were comfortable but the pillows were a bit flat. The addition of the door to the garden was a real asset for our dog. The cottage was spotlessly clean,so well done the cleaner. All the locals were very friendly whilst out on our morning walk,they loved a little chat. The spar shop was very well stocked and has a post office. We had to contact the owner with a query and he came straight round. This is the second time we have stayed here as we have family in the area. Thank you for the milk and biscuits very welcome after a long drive.

VERY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING

Well maintained, well appointed and very clean.

We've stayed winter and summer and will definitely return again to use it as a base for our family visits. Easy access to city centre, with convenience store within easy walking distance for those forgotten items!

Once again had a lovely stay at this property second time we have stayed its ideal for visiting our family who live there only downside its booked up for September next year when we was hoping to stay it shows how popular this property is will definetly stay again at some point

Very comfortable, good quiet location near Truro.

Excellent for our dogs and lots of parking. The only suggestion we have as our son has special needs is a grab rail in the shower and possibly another one outside the front door. It would also help any older people who stay at this bungalow. We have stayed here before and will be staying again. We have booked for next year!

Great for dogs. Buddy loved the garden and nearby walks. Accommodation was clean and everything in working order. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at bungalow, the only issues we found was having to bring our own towels as this took up a lol of space when travelling, also would have been nice to have a smart tv so we could access other tv platforms

Lovely two week stay at the property.

We wanted peace and we got it here. Spotlessly clean on our arrival and the milk and biscuits was a nice unexpected touch when we did arrive. Lovely big well established back garden that was dog safe and private. Dogs loved it in the sunshine and we spent a lot of time sat out. Property had everything we needed for our stay. Dog friendly and a lovely lane to potter along with lovely views just a short walk away. Drive way for the car ( would easily take three cars ) and nice front garden ( no gate ) looks out on to a nice quiet lane. We will definitely stay again in this property and really enjoyed our stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at the property.

The new addition of the door to the garden, from the dining room, is a welcome addition. Made life easier with the dog. The house was clean and tidy, as well as a comfortable space, which we very much enjoy staying in. We especially enjoy the garden and all the wildlife that visit it. The kids loved watching the pheasant who was walking around the garden for a hour or so.

Once again a great stay.

The garden could do with a trim and the room thermostat could do with replacing so you know what temperature its set at. Other wise a great property, spotless clean which is a credit to the owner, which we thank you for. Looking forward to our next stay at number 5 Carlyon Road

We loved this place.

It's clean and tidy and nicely furnished, very comfortable, and very well equipped. The garden is lovely, with parking, furniture and sun. Close to shops, petrol and main road for days out.

What a lovely bungalow, well kitted out with everything you needed for a week's stay.

On arrival the property was clean and tidy. The only observation we have is that it might be worth leaving a chopping board out, it took us a couple of days to find it! We were more concerned about blunting the knives on the glass chopping board. We really appreciated the tea, coffee, milk & biscuits (which we enjoyed!) that was a lovely gesture, along with the dishwasher tablets & washing machine tablets, hand towel & dish clothes etc (although we did bring our own supplies with us). We had fabulous weather and really enjoyed our week in Cornwall, reliving many childhood memories.

The Bungalow is very peasant with a lovely mature back garden and plenty of parking.

The cottage is situated in a lovely, quiet village but with quick and easy access to major routes for visiting a variety of locations.

Disappointed in condition of the cooking vessels, definitely need replacing, non sticks badly chipped.

Nothing in place to encourage us to light the fire, I.e. no fuel, fire lighter , no advise re disposal of ash. First of many cottages we have stayed in throughout the country that didn't leave a welcome pack.

Very central location and everything on the doorstep. The owners have gone way above and beyond in supplying everything you would possibly need.

The bungalow smelt of damp.

The owners had put the heating on to mask the smell, but it was awful. It was so bad, we left early. When we got home, I washed everything in our suitcases as it all smelt damp. It was awful.

We arrived slightly early, with permission, to an immaculate cottage.

Everything was pristine and made us feel confident. The owners were easily contactable and very responsive. The garden was large and very pretty, the area is very quiet but good access to the major routes. A very enjoyable stay and thoroughly recommended.

We visit Cornwall most years in the autumn and 5 Carlyon Road will certainly be on our list for a possible future visit.

We've stayed here before and after our last stay we suggested to the owner that his cooked could do with being updated as its very inefficient as the rings stay hot for ages after being turned off.

We were disappointed to se the same old cooker when we returned this time. This cooker should have a warning on it about the rings staying hot, I put a pan of water on the ones I had used, and after our meal the water would be HOT, so be careful. Good local pub, Punchbowl and Ladle which has recently had a refurb and new owners. Looking forward to our next stay in March. PLEASE PLEASE "update the Cooker"

A lovely bungalow in a peaceful village location.

WIFI was not listed but was available so that was a nice surprise. Comfy bed, and 2 great sofas.

This cottage had a few pluses for us.

..large fully enclosed back garden for dogs..use of garage to store things and a driveway big enough for 2 vehicles.

Minimal crockery available.

Would have to wash up after every meal negated use of dishwasher at end of day. I was aware that dogs were accepted but the bungalow stank heavily of dogs. Had to buy our own air diffuser. Nice bungalow though.

When we arrived at the property, we found it warm and welcoming, which is always good after a long drive.

We found the coffee, tea, milk and some saffron buns as a welcoming pack, I must say I've had better, but it was enough to start. In the morning we noticed that the shower curtain was in need of change, so I rang the owner and he came round to change it as soon as he could, which was good. The single beds are very small. My only disappointment was in the kitchen, the cooker was very old and inefficient, so I would like to see a more up to date when we return, also although the fridge freezer worked ok it made a lot of noise when working so it could be on its way out, my only of the minor thought was that the garden could do with some TLC. Other wise we are looking forward to our next stay. Just one other thing, I you walk to the Punch Bowl & Ladle [local pub] take a torch and a high vis jacket as there's no footpath.

This was good value holiday accomodation , a perfect base for us to visit family.

It's great that we can take our dog with us but the best bit about this house is that it is SPOTLESSLY clean!

We had a very pleasant stay.

Hood and Mrs Hood Snr, most welcoming. Appliances nice and easy to operate, no need for instruction leaflets. Excellent access to Truro, yet remaining quiet village atmosphere, well equipt local shop.

Excellent location for exploring the area around the Fal river and Cornwall generally.

Accommodation more spacious than expected, central heating very efficient, so good for all year rental. Well stocked Spar 5 min walk away, so no need for trips to supermarket. Bus stop by Spar, U1 buses every 30 mins to Truro and Falmouth, several buses each day to Trelissik Gardens/Ferry quay all covered by Fal Mussel Card. Recommended. Good for anyone using public transport.
