  • "Absolutely loved our stay!"

    As a large family the house was a brilliant size and had everything we would ever need! Location was perfect with buses into St Ives & Penzance every half an hour. Our well behaved dog didn’t have any problem with the garden not being enclosed but we did buy a long lead just incase (we didn’t need it after a couple of days). If the dates hadn’t already been booked for next year we would have been back! Roll on 2026!

  • "The property was very stylish, modern, clean and comfortable and very well equipped for all of our needs."

    As a family of 5 with 3 teenage children and a dog, we had lots of space. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to visit lots of the Cornish coastline. If we could have plucked the house from its current location to another area of Lelant it would have been ideal. However, the rear garden is not secure (although this could be easily remedied) which meant that our well behaved dog could never be left out of sight in the garden - not even for a second, which was frustrating as during our stay the weather was beautiful and we would have loved to have had the bi-fold doors on the property open to the garden, but could not risk the safety of our dog. Parking at the property is difficult - the house caters for up to 8 people so it is highly likely that visitors are going to have two cars. It was impossible to fit one of our cars into the small garage and consequently we had to park further away in the village each day, which was not ideal. The house is located in a cul-de-sac immediately off the very, very busy A30 which is the main road into St Ives. In places there is no foot path on this road which made walking for both ourselves and our dog, very difficult.

  • "The kitchen was very well equipped, nice change."

    The listing was inaccurate as there was only 1 king size bed, also the garden wasn't fully enclosed. Parking was fine but no space to turn so you had to reverse up the road to exit.

About the location

LELANT

Lelant is a pretty village in the west of Cornwall, approximately 1.5 miles from Carbis Bay. The South West Coast Path travels through Lelant, along the estuary and past Porth Kidney Sands. Porth Kidney Sands is Lelant's stunning dog friendly beach, complete with several caves, a wonderfully quiet beach to explore. The beach provides great views to St. Ives and Carbis Bay in one direction and Godrevy lighthouse in the other direction. Lelant is a request stop on the beautifully scenic St Ives Bay line that runs to/from nearby St Erth. The village is also the location of the West Cornwall Golf Club, which is the oldest golf club in Cornwall. Lelant has a variety of local shops and couple of village pubs, or you could travel 2.5 miles to the popular seaside town of St Ives for a busier more thriving tourist experience.
