Abelia

What an amazing house, we didn't want to leave and could happily have lived there.

So light and airy, plenty of room in the bedrooms. We just had 2 concerns, only one proper shower for 6 of us and it was in our bedroom, the hand held shower over the bath wasn't much use. Also as recycling and rubbish was picked up by a specialist company we could have done with more bags, only 1 for the rubbish, we managed with the 2 for recycling but had to buy bags and dispose of extra elsewhere for rubbish.

Our 2nd stay at Abelia a truly top end holiday let with every detail in the house immaculate.

We hope to be back next year to enjoy the beauty of Abelia and Cornwall.

Abelia is a lovely modern yet very comfortable property, presented to a high specification.

Location is perfect as a base for trains,buses,walking to beaches and of course the Badger Inn ! It is in a tranquil cul de sac great for resting up after a busy day of outdoor activities. Really enjoyed our stay , thank you.

Just back from our family Christmas break in Abelia.

We are a family of 8 and found that the property was large enough to accommodate us all comfortably, only minor issue was one shower, in en suite, which meant there was a queue each morning. On the whole we had a great time, we found the house to be warm and welcoming, very clean with a homely feel that made settling in and enjoying our time there very easy indeed. The house is well situated for access into St Ives and access to the coastal foot path for walks and morning runs. Would definitely recommend Abelia and we are already considering re-booking for next Christmas.

Excellent house, parking poor, you either have to reverse all the way up or down the street - guests with more than one car would struggle.

Sofa's were a bit too soft and unsupportive for our liking. The house could do with refuse bins and containers like the other houses as when we put the black non recycling bag out it was ripped apart within minutes by crows which led to us taking the rubbish home with us. These things apart we really enjoyed our stay.

We’ve been coming to Cornwall for years and this is the comfiest house we’ve stayed at.

House is beautiful, spacious, clean and the beds are very comfy. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you very much

We have stayed in numerous holiday lets in Cornwall but Abelia is at the high top end of luxury. It is beautifully laid out and stocked with everything you need. This is a beautiful holiday accommodation really modern and very clean!

The photos don’t do it justice! Lelant is the perfect location you can catch the train into St Ives the station is a short walk away, the coastal walk to Carbis Bay is also on your doorstep and a great walk for the dog! It has a local pub the Badger Inn with homemade food a 2 minute walk and dog friendly! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to book again! There were a few things that we did struggle with, we were a family of 6 (5 adults and a Teen) the accommodation only had one shower which was in the en-suite this did prove challenging as we had people always in and out to use it. The main bathroom had a large bath and over bath shower head. There were no locks on the doors and the pull across door on the ensuite did have gaps. If you are a family sharing it’s not to much of an issue but friends sharing it may be difficult. Parking there is parking for two cars only one in the garage our car didn’t fit luckily our Mum and Dads did, again not sure how you would manage if you had three cars, the road had notices that said parking charges applied so unsure if this was applicable or not to friends that visited, no information in the book regarding this. Garden as per previous comments there is a low back wall in the garden this may prove difficult if you have a bigger dog as they may escape! We have a small Cockapoo so it was not an issue for us.

Absolutely loved our stay!

As a large family the house was a brilliant size and had everything we would ever need! Location was perfect with buses into St Ives & Penzance every half an hour. Our well behaved dog didn’t have any problem with the garden not being enclosed but we did buy a long lead just incase (we didn’t need it after a couple of days). If the dates hadn’t already been booked for next year we would have been back! Roll on 2026!

The property was very stylish, modern, clean and comfortable and very well equipped for all of our needs.

As a family of 5 with 3 teenage children and a dog, we had lots of space. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to visit lots of the Cornish coastline. If we could have plucked the house from its current location to another area of Lelant it would have been ideal. However, the rear garden is not secure (although this could be easily remedied) which meant that our well behaved dog could never be left out of sight in the garden - not even for a second, which was frustrating as during our stay the weather was beautiful and we would have loved to have had the bi-fold doors on the property open to the garden, but could not risk the safety of our dog. Parking at the property is difficult - the house caters for up to 8 people so it is highly likely that visitors are going to have two cars. It was impossible to fit one of our cars into the small garage and consequently we had to park further away in the village each day, which was not ideal. The house is located in a cul-de-sac immediately off the very, very busy A30 which is the main road into St Ives. In places there is no foot path on this road which made walking for both ourselves and our dog, very difficult.

The kitchen was very well equipped, nice change.

The listing was inaccurate as there was only 1 king size bed, also the garden wasn't fully enclosed. Parking was fine but no space to turn so you had to reverse up the road to exit.

The décor is stunning and has obviously been designed with flair and attention to detail. Stylish, comfortable and homely. We love it here and can`t wait to come back!

Abelia is a beautiful home in a perfect location. We have made lots of memories walking on the beaches and travelling on the train. There are plenty of options for eating out without the need for getting in the car. Abelia is clean, comfortable and spacious and beautifully presented. We love it here & look forward to returning
