    Mr Macklin

“We had a lovely stay at Pippin, it was very comfortable ,clean and had everything you need.”

The neighbours were friendly, and parking was easy outside the house. The location was superb, a lovely beach within easy walking distance, also the Railway station which is a lovely trip into St Ives. From Lelant no where was too far, we visited practically the whole of the West of Cornwall all within easy driving distance.

This property is part of the Cornish & Devonshire Cottage Holidays collection.
Over 500 carefully selected and perfectly located Cornwall and Devon properties, helping you create your perfect holiday.

The cottage

The Pippin is a charming, cosy granite terraced house in Lelant.

With beautiful beaches on the doorstep, pretty villages around and St Ives just minutes away, it is a perfectly positioned holiday home.

This cosy cottage is in the heart of the peaceful village that is bound by the Hayle Estuary to the east and the sweep of St Ives Bay to the north.

The white stretch of Porth Kidney Sands is just 10 minutes walk away, this little known beach is stunning and lined with incredible sand dunes.

The two storey cottage has characterful accommodation with a lovely inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove in the living room for a warm welcome as soon as you walk in through the front door.

The kitchen and bathroom are also on the ground floor and upstairs are the two bedrooms one double and one single, both beautifully appointed.

There is an enclosed sunny garden to the rear which has a barbecue and is perfect for relaxing in the warmer months with a good book.

Lelant itself has a basic provisions store and good food is served at the Badger Inn.

Golfers are welcomed at the nearby club and are sure to enjoy the 18 hole links course which has great sea views.

The branch line to St Ives is just down the hill - hop aboard for this short train ride - on arrival, the much painted pretty harbour will need no introduction - enjoy an ice cream whilst taking in the view.

The Pippin is a lovely home for a small family or group of friends and is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall at any time of year - book soon!

About the location

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!
