  • "The accommodation was nice and spacious and in a great location."

    Two things that let it down are the lighting in the kitchen was very poor, the under cabinet lighting would appear to have been broken for years. The TV could hardly pick up any channels only a few obscure ones of no interest. I would book again if these were fixed indecently there were no spare light bulbs and 2 or 3 bulbs needed replacement

    Thanks for staying in the manor and for leaving feedback. We have now fitted signal boosters which have resolved the tv issues. All the ceiling bulbs in the kitchen have been replaced with brighter bulbs which has made a big difference. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely holiday staying at this property."

    The location is excellent and in a beautiful part of Cornwall. It was peaceful and quiet, but easy to get to. We loved being able to take a 10-minute stroll down to a dog-friendly beach (Porthkidney Sands). The 3-mile Towans beach was just a short drive away and we got the bus into St Ives a couple of times. The property was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. A few things weren't working when we arrived: two of the lights in the main bedroom (quickly fixed after calling Carbis Bay Holidays), the dryer, and the kitchen scales. The dining table is quite small for four people. The kitchen was mostly high-quality and well-equipped, though a mixing bowl and serving spoons would have been useful.

  • "A nice, stylish flat with comfy beds and good layout, with everything we needed to cook and stay for a week."

    We often couldn't get a signal on the t.v. and as the cottage isn't very close to amenities, we missed this. It would also be useful to have recent tourist information.

    Thanks for staying in Sand Dunes and leaving a review. The apartment has very strong WI-FI so when the signal in the area is weak channels can be viewed through the internet as per the instructions left by the TV. Property Owner

  • "The 'Info Pack' states that rubbish bins must be put out on Thursday evenings which we did."

    On the Friday morning a note was left outside the appt door by another resident stating that we should NOT put them out as they are collected by a private company. Please update your info pack as very confusing.

    This has clearly seen it's best days and due to the lack of pressure, all had to use the main bedroom shower. Hoover didn't work so had to continually sweep the entire apartment. Overall a beautiful apartment but suggest the above is rectified in order for us to return.

There are two hoovers in the apartment, the cordless handheld in the kitchen and also a "Henry Hoover" in the cupboard that was purchased this year.   • "I Sent pictures to you of dirty property that had not been property cleaned."

    I sent these details on Sunday 30/07/23. I had someone call me back on Thursday 3rd August offering to clean the property the next day, (Our last day of the weeks holiday). The hallway, (Communal area), smelt awful, (fusty, rotten cabbage, not very clean ) . I appreciate that it is a communal area, but even so. Also there was wet towels left in the washing Machine upon our arrival. The bed sheets were very worn and tired on the single beds. Disappointed that we had to pay an additional charge for a dog, when property was not properly cleaned. There was also a baby bottle lid left under the coffee table in the front room, which indicates that property was not cleaned property prior to our arrival. I look forward to hearing from you on this matter. I have used Carbis Bay/ Sykes many times over the years and this has been one of the worst. Kind Regards

    Great apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, we appreciated the welcome goodies. Friendly area with lovely local walks and a dog friendly beach on the doorstep, train station too, just a few minutes walk from the apartment. Would recommend and we would love to return.

    Nothing was too much trouble for the owners.... The apartment location is also perfect for exploring all that the area has to offer. St.Ives, Carbis Bay, Penzance and Land's End all within easy reach. I would also recommend a wee visit to the West Cornwall Golf Club just along the way...very welcoming & the home made pizzas are fabulous! I wouldn't hesitate to recomend this property! Oh & they laid on the best weather too.....that is quite the skill....and I'll be asking their secret!!!

This chic, dog-friendly apartment on the first floor is conveniently located near the golden sands of Hayle Beach and the West Cornwall Golf Club, and it also features off-street parking and a welcoming interior, making it an ideal getaway for four friends or families or couples looking to relax in the Cornish sunshine.

Upon entering, you'll find a homely seating area, and then you can make a beeline for the kitchen, where you'll find everything you need to cook up a storm for the whole family.

Share your culinary masterpiece at the table in the living room before settling in for a quiet evening in front of the Smart TV with a good movie.

When the yawning sets in, you can catch up on sleep in one of the two tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite bathroom, and a twin with en-suite shower room.

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore.
