Fantastic home to stay .

Well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. We have holidayed in cornwall for years and this is in the top 2 that we have stayed in. We enjoyed it so much already booked to go again next year. Thankyou

This was a lovely well maintained property with lots of little additions like dog bowls, toys and treats, toys for families with small children.

Perfectly sited to explore one of our favourite places - the Lizard. Only negatives were the moderate noise from construction nearby (nearly complete) and the traffic on the main road into the village which the house was next to. The mournful hoot of the foghorn the first two days added to the atmosphere

Well what can we say, our second stay at Henry’s Croft we booked last year whilst still there.

The house is perfect and it has everything and more that you may require!! The problem this year and it proved a very significant issue was it like living on a building site literally. Large Lorry’s arrived around 7.45 am some mornings reversing and bleeping and this continued all day Monday to Friday, they blocked our car in twice and we had to wait. The builders were cutting tiles with a stihl saw which was incredibly noisy and very dusty making it almost unbearable to sit outdoors. Our car was covered in dust and the road was muddy and dusty, again this started around 7.45 am. Luckily they went home around 4 pm and did not work weekends thank goodness. So although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay last year, but unfortunately we cannot say the same this year and we didn’t have a peaceful relaxing time that we had wanted and was so looking forward too. At no time were we told that this building work was being carried out and the noise and disruption although we booked a year in advance the price at the property had not altered at all to reflect this. We are afraid to say we are extremely disappointed in our stay.

This was a great property in a great location.

The property was well presented and well equipped. A cosy place to stay for a relaxing break. If staying in this property it is essential to explore the local restaurants and pubs all of which we found to be very welcoming. Property is well located for walking to the Lizard, where great views can be enjoyed with equally great refreshments.

It was perfect, clean, welcoming and everything you needed.

They made it especially nice with extras that made us feel at home. The fittings and decor made it feel like they cared about us and made our stay that more enjoyable.

Comfortable beds, clean, roomy, lovely views and had everything we needed.

Excellent property, so well equipped especially the kitchen!

Lots of lovely touches, like the milk for a cuppa after a 9 hour drive and the cream scones to go with it. The house was spotless and very well maintained. Only problem was the water to the bathroom on the top floor but we knew about it in advance.

We had a fantastic stay beds comfortable the building work started at 7.

30/ so we didn’t have any lie ins until Saturday and Sunday. But it didn’t ruin the holiday, if the price hadn’t gone up as much for next year we would have booked again for two weeks.the location was fantastic, plus 2 parking spaces bonus. Beautiful walks we only used the van twice we will be going lizard again and we will use Sykes cottages again that’s definitely.

The house was spotless, very well equipped and in an ideal location.

We absolutely loved our two weeks holiday at Henry’s Croft.

Everything we needed was available and more! the cream tea, flowers and milk were very much appreciated on our arrival. For anyone who visits with dogs be assured the garden is secure and practical with lots of walks for furry friends in the surrounding area. The bed was extremely comfortable and fabulous views from the bedroom window, the twin bedroom was extremely pretty and again fabulous views. We can’t stop coming back and this is a very comfortable and well appointed property that is perfectly placed for some wonderful walks along the SW coastal path and not too far from the local pub.

Great place to say, roomy with all of the things you need.

Henry's Croft is a very nice property located in a convenient location for exploring the Lizard and surrounding Cornwall.

2 parking spots are a bonus. It is very well equipped, especially in the kitchen, which pleased my partner, and very clean. We wouldn't hesitate to return there. My only comment is that the top floor bedroom is quite noisy when it is windy (as something seems to flap around in the loft) and I think mention should be made in the listing about the building site directly behind the house.

A modern style home with great usual facilities and well thought out provision for guests. Much appreciated thoughtful treats on arrival and very dog friendly.

Fabulous property - very clean, spacious and everything was there that we needed.

Very convenient location - two minute walk into the main area with access to a good selection of shops, pubs and eateries.

We all loved this holiday house.

The cream tea left for us was delicious and very much appreciated and there was everything we needed there, including tea and coffee, hand soap, tea towels etc. We had a lovely comfortable weeks stay, it's a really lovely light and airy house. We didn't want to leave!

The Lizard is a really great spot to holiday and has a great vibe.

There are plenty of things to do- lots of shops for delicious ice cream, places for food and drink (for a real treat head to Ann’s pasties- WOW!) or to see the local sights, check out the most southerly point in the UK, head to Kynance Cove, etc. The house itself was really great, very much a home from home. It accommodated 4 adults and 2 children plus a little dog perfectly for a week! Well equipped, most things have been thought of from washing up liquid, to dishwasher tablets, to toilet rolls and even some washing capsules for clothes. I have stayed in properties where nothing but 2 tea towels were provided! There was also a cream tea in the fridge on our arrival. The beds were comfortable, the bedding nice. Aside from the shower on the top floor being a bit temperamental with its temperature and perhaps being a bit smaller than we’re used to (personal preference) the view from the doors more than makes up for it. The listing and the photos are accurate. A couple of small points- there are some parts of the sofa that are quite worn but it’s generally comfortable and sat 4 adults easily. The windowsills in the living room (behind the sofa) and in the twin room were dusty, not a big deal. We had to wash some of the kitchen items before using them, probably as a result of a previously overstuffed dishwasher. All in all, nothing that would stop us returning, just a bit of balanced feedback as these were so minor in what was frankly a superb holiday! Thank you so much

We loved Henry's Croft immaculately clean everything you need was there.

A lovely cream tea was in the fridge when we arrived and some milk. Unfortunately we left midweek due to family illness but would love to return.

We found the facilities, excellent.

Everything was clean tidy. place is very close to most amenities, pub, small shops, café and not very far to walk to the lizard point

Such a long way to get there but well worth the effort.

Many things to do on The Lizard itself without using the car for a week. Comfortable, modern, home from home, ideally situated almost in the centre of the village. We have returned many times and hope to do so again. Unfortunately we had to leave a few days early due to a family funeral, consequently we didn't get the "how to leave the property" message until we had left.. hopefully we got most of it right!

A lovely warm cottage.

The beds were comfortable , the kitchen was well equipped and the whole stay was enjoyable. The top shower was perfectly acceptable - just make sure no one else is using any water - definitely not a problem. I would definitely book here again, I've stayed in many cottages on The Lizard and this was one of the best .

A superb house which exceeded my expectations, light and airy, sizeable rooms, comfortably furnished and well equipped.

6 adults and a baby fitted comfortably and no issues with the showering! Garden courtyard is lovely. Have stayed in Lizard many times and Henry’s Croft is an excellent location, near to all amenities yet quiet and with lovely views. Would love to stay again.

This house was the perfect place to stay for exploring The Lizard, moments walk from the village green.

The house is lovely, clean and spacious. The owners have thought to provide everything you could think to need for your stay. Will definitely be visiting again

The house was in a great location for local amenities and was equipped well.

Top floor bedroom was a great size and good views but the shower was on the small size being a curved corner cubicle and a struggle with broad shoulders. Also you could not shower if water was being used elsewhere in the house. This could be easily resolved by installing a small water pump. The bed was far to low to the ground in the top bedroom and could easily be moved and raised to make the best of the views. Great holiday

We just simply love the Lizard and proximity to the SW coastal path.

Henry’s Croft ticks all of the boxes and is perfectly located for us. We had a wonderful week and didn’t want for anything during our stay. Having stayed here last year, we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. This is a gem of a place and we would definitely book again. Thank you for having us!

Superb base for the Lizard and surrounding area.

Regarding the 2 most regular complaints on reviews: Wardrobe top bedroom. It is an attic room with sloped ceiling, of course you had to use a half size. My wife put her dresses in the 1st floor full wardrobe. Simple! Low water pressure for top floor shower. Talk about 1st world problems! Time your showers and enjoy your holiday. We loved it, thank you.

This was a last minute booking and although larger than what we required we were delighted with the property.

It had everything we needed and for a larger group/family there was plenty of space and facilities. It is ideally situated for visiting the Lizard's many beaches/coves and within walking distance of the village itself. The welcome pack was really appreciated and the scones were lovely. We wouldn't hesitate returning to this property and would recommend to family/friends.

The accommodation is very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished with excellent personal touches. We had a fabulous 2 week stay.

A few more mirrors would be welcome ( near plugs for hairdrying) especially in twin bedroom. Loved the welcome cream tea!

We arrived at Henry's Croft which we found to be clean warm and spacious.

This property had every thing we required, it is very well equipped. The super markets are on the main road to the Lizard, around 15 minuets from Henry's Croft, Tesco, Sainsburys and Lidl. (Lidl is not on the main road to the Lizard, but is only 0.9 of a mile away on Penzance Road). We had some delicious fish and chips and drinks at The Top House Inn which was warm and welcoming, dogs are also allowed. The Smugglers Fish and Chip shop was also very good as is Anne's Pasties, all less than a 5 minuet walk and I'm a slow walker. A fantastic location for coastal walks spectacular scenery, We saw female sparrow hawks, seals and rabbits. We arrived to milk biscuit's and fresh flowers. I would defiantly recommend this lovely property. We all had a wonderful stay and wanted for nothing.

Lovely, well appointed, very conveniently situated, light and airy house with lots of room and parking.

Only problem was the noise at night from cars racing into the Lizard, & partying at all hours with people shouting and singing loudly. However, we had a lovely stay - thank you.

Great location to explore The Lizard, it’s village and all local beaches - Church Cove, Kennack and Poldhu all within 10-15 mins drive.

Lizard village is 2 mins walk with some great pubs, cafes and fish and chips!

Henry’s Croft was so comfortable and well equipped with everything.

Jane was great. The BBQ was missing the grill and she ordered one for us immediately. The location is amazing, so many amazing restaurants and gift stores. Great coastal walks. We would highly recommend this property and Lizard. Thank you Henry’s Crofts team.

What a great place this is!

We throughly enjoyed our week here, luckily we had a mini heatwave during our stay! Very spacious holiday home and very well equipped with everything you need. In a great, quiet location within a short walk from shops and places to eat. The Regent Cafe does great value food, with friendly staff and is also dog friendly inside and out. Walking distance to Lizard point and lighthouse. Lovely coastal path walks with fantastic views. The house was lovely and clean and the welcome treats were very much appreciated. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed holiday with the added bonus of being able to take your dog. Would definitely book again.

Excellent Cottage and location.

One issue is the very small Shower and lack of water pressure in the top floor bedroom en-suite.

Whilst the furniture was both comfortable and practical and the house was clean and well presented, we were disappointed with the 2nd floor bedroom and bathroom.

There was no mention of the lack of water pressure which rendered the bathroom water supply useless if water was being used elsewhere in the house ie the washing machine or the other bathroom facilities were being used by other people. Several times there was no water coming out of the taps and the shower was a waste of time there was just a slow trickle from it , it also went from freezing to scalding when it did work, and the cubicle was so small you couldn't turn or bend down to wash properly. The bedroom wardrobe was too small as it is a half height so couldn't hang dresses in it or clothing any longer that a shirt. I don't consider this to be satisfactory and would advise the owners to look at getting a better water supply maybe a header tank in the loft space, and some sort of hanging rail. The rest of the house was great and well equipped .

The position of the cottage was perfect, wonderful dog walks from the front door, we hardly used the car!

We would definitely recommend the cottage and plan to return very soon.

We loved every minute but didn’t realise recycling bins were in the shed till last day and felt bad that we left a few bags of rubbish but didn’t recycle.
