Loved the place, if anything the listings didn’t do it justice!

As soon as we arrived we wanted to book for next year.

I highly recommend this place!

We have been coming back here for years and have never been disappointed. The apartment is always comfortable, well-maintained, and feels like a home away from home. The view is absolutely to die for and never fails to impress us, no matter how many times we visit. We always look forward to returning and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

What an absolute gem!

There is nothing this owner hasn’t thought of. The apartment is spotlessly clean and so comfortable and well equipped. The view is stunning and the apartment being on the ground floor makes it so easy to unload cases etc.

So well equipped clean and comfortable. The views are incredible. A bonus was the dedicated parking space.

This is our 4th visit to 1 and only we love it.

The only draw back is having to book out at 10am on departure day we are disabled and therefore find this a bit of a rush. But otherwise we will visit again.

This was our 2nd visit to 1 and Only, we spent 2 weeks here this time.

With the breathtaking views this is a really great apartment for an autumn break (and all year round!) We appreciated the comfy sofas and beds amazing large TV with full SKY package. Everything here is flawless, it’s well organised, clean, modern and warm. The Carbis Bay, Porth Kidney, Hayle and St Ives areas are great for walking - swimming in the sea is very popular here all year round and we saw seals in Carbis Bay every day. There are some brilliant places to eat in the area and great places to visit - this time we enjoyed Geevor Tin Mine, St Michael’s Mount, Godrevy Point and Tremenheere. We hope to come back again.

The apartment provides everything that’s needed for a very comfortable stay and its contents are high quality. It’s spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable and it helps that basics are provided. It’s in a fabulous location with stunning views over Carbis Bay and St Ives. We will definitely be back, hopefully next year! Thank you for a wonderful week!

The appartment was great.

Only 2 minor quibbles. 1. A larger saucepan would have been useful for cooking things like pasta ...was hard to cook sufficient with the 4 relatively small pans for a family of four. 2 Ground Coffee for the coffee machines would have been appreciated

We had an excellent week at 1 and Only.

The apartment was larger than we expected. The furnishings and equipment are all great quality. Bed was comfortable and lovely large, thick towels were provided. The instruction booklet for the various gadgets etc was very clear and useful. The kitchen was very well equipped. The best thing of all was the view from the living room. Thank you for the champagne and welcome pack.

The only problem we had was the quantity of the bedding duvet very lumpy and also pillows lumpy and hard.

Also duvet too heavy for this time of year. Otherwise all excellent

This was our fourth holiday in 1 and Only and we had a wonderful time.

The property was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The beautiful view across the bay to St Ives meant that we frequently found ourselves looking out through the large windows. The only minor issue was that the light outside the front door seemed to be faulty and flashed intermittently during the night.

It was our 5th stay in ''One and Only'' apartment and as always we had very good time there.

Apartment is comfortable, there is everything we needed and more :-) Fantastic view and great location. We feel always like home there. Thank you :-)

Beautiful property with superb views.

Tastefully furnished. Fully equipped for any holiday requirement. Outside furniture a bit dated and dirty, but the owners arrived with new patio furniture as we were leaving after our holiday. Parking a little cramped, but great to have any on-site parking. Challenging for those less able to access the beautiful Carbis Bay Beach due to significant slopes. Little beachside parking available. Other beaches available with proximate parking. Would highly recommend the property. Great to visit St. Ives by train from the nearby station.

Fantastic apartment in a great location with amazing views.

Very well equipped and to a very high standard. The weather wasn’t very kind to us but it was still amazing to weather watch from the warm comforts of the apartment. Very easy to visit the surrounding towns on foot or by train or bus.

Patio not suitable for people to use, at the moment.

This apartment is conveniently located, its furniture, Sky TV, kitchen equipment and bedrooms make for an excellent stay. Nice gifts of chocolates, biscuits and champagne. However, once again the patio area was totally unusable due to it being extremely dirty and slippery when wet. It needs to be immediately cleaned, and kept clean, for the use of visitors!!!! We have stayed at this particular apartment many times, but I am afraid we will now be looking for another place to stay, in Carbis Bay. Such a shame!!!

Once again we have enjoyed another stay at this comfortable property.

The provision of both milk and champagne is a nice touch. It is well furnished and always extremely clean and well prepared inside. However, the outside patio is very dirty and extremely slippy when wet. As a disabled person I have to use walking sticks and I was unable to access the patio during our stay. Given that this is one of the selling points things need to be improved.

The owners have thought of everything to make the stay perfect. We appreciated the chocolate, biscuits and champagne arrival gifts. We didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend.

A lovely flat in a lovely location and very comfortable.

Just a few very minor maintenance issues. The main issue was that one of the sinks in the ensuite didn’t drain properly. Not a big issue as we could both share the other sink. Other small issues included the kitchen bin which was very temperamental and there were no 3D glasses for the TV as per the listing. These issues were reported to Carbis Bay Holidays following the instructions in the flat but there was no response. Would definitely go back.

The accommodation was excellent.

Clean, modern and well equipped. We had an issue with a light in one of the bedrooms, contacted Carbis Bay people and had two visits within an hour and issue resolved. If we had any issue it was having to strip the beds and vacate premises by 10 am. Except for this no complaints. Excellent and we will be returning.

This was the first time we stayed at the 1 and Only and we had a great time. The accommodation is lovely and the the complimentary bubbles and juice is a very kind gesture. This excellent holiday apartment has benefited from the recent upgrades to the kitchen, living room furniture and television.

We have stayed at this apartment many times and we would very strongly recommend it to other visitors looking for a first class holiday accommodation. The layout, cleanliness, outside views, patio and furnishings are all excellent. Visitors can easily access the nearby beach, take the train to St Ives or visit many of the attractions in this area. We are returning this September and have also booked holidays here in 2024. Hayley, Housekeeper, always prepares the apartment to the highest standards and is able to provide any advice, or information, required.

A stunning apartment with incredible attention to detail.

Everything has been thought of for one’s comfort andvneeds. Superb location and very convenient for local trains to St.Ives and amazing coastal walks. Will definitely stay again. Suggest a better blackout blind is fitted in the second bedroom as security light causing lack of sleep. However, very impressed that the problem was dealt with very promptly on a temporary basis.

Very enjoyable stay.

The only complaint is that the light outside the second bedroom window kept coming on and going off during the night, which disturbed the sleep of the person using that room.

We have stayed at this excellent apartment many times before and we have booked for a further three returns in 2023.

It is a first class accommodation in an excellent location. The upgrades to the furniture and kitchen equipment are both very good indeed. Once again, the preparation and cleanliness of the apartment by Hayley ( Housekeeper ) was immaculate. The microwave did not work but Carbis Bay immediately supplied a replacement. We have noticed over the last two visits that the TV has shadows appearing upon it and the colour definition is not perfect.

We had a fabulous week in 1 and Only.

All of the facilities are of a high standard and the location perfect. Nice touch of champagne, biscuits, chocolates and milk on arrival with tea bags/coffee. All welcome after a long drive! It’s also helpful to have washing up liquid, a new cloth, loo rolls (& spares), bin bags, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets available. Would definitely book again and use Carbis Bay holidays again.

We have stayed at this property over at least 12 times in the last few years.

Indeed, we have already booked a further 3 holidays for 2023. Sykes are constantly badgering us to provide a complimentary review of our holidays in 2022. The apartment was way above our expectations in terms of location, cleanliness, amenities and such attention to detail.

I can honestly say that nothing had been overlooked. The view was nothing short of fabulous....I mean who would get tired of waking up to a unspoilt view of the ocean. We arranged this holiday to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary and to say it was a resounding success would be a huge understatement. There was even a bottle of champagne in the fridge...and we didn't even tell them it was our wedding anniversary. We really did not want to leave to the extent we are now arranging our holidays to this apartment for next year.

The weather and overall standard of the apartment were outstanding, enabling us to have an unforgettable holiday experience. The only reason that we scored cleanliness a little lower than the other top scores was because the oven and some of the kitchen utensils were not as clean as they should have been. A stunning property.

Well worth the full marks just given. Tiny things- access to washer/dryer awkward. Larger breadbin. But really, these are minor. It is a glorious apartment. I would change wording with regards to taking your own bin liners, oven gloves, tea towels.. I was a little piqued at this given the price I had paid. In fact, these things were all there.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped, with Amazing views of Carbis bay. Would definitely recommend this Apartment. I think in the height of summer it would be Great to have a couple of sun beds on the terrace, other than that, I don’t think you could ask for more

One and Only is an ideal holiday apartment set within a perfect location.

This well furnished apartment has great sea views to both St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse, with easy access to Carbis Bay, itself. The well equipped kitchen contains an excellent cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. The lounge and bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the bathrooms well appointed. Our Housekeeper had prepared the apartment to the highest standards and provided great linen changes. Her advice and information regarding local restaurants, shopping and places to visit proved to be invaluable. We look forward to returning this September for another memorable holiday. This is a lovely property and ideally situated to enjoy the best of Cornwall.

The view of Carbis Bay is unrivalled and the short walk or even shorter train journey in to St Ives is brilliant. If I could improve anything it would be to be able to bbq on the patio. The weather was amazing during our stay and it would have been great to enjoy cooking outdoors.

Very convenient for lovely walks along the coast path and the train to pop into St Ives. Everything you could possibly need in the apartment (except a pair of scissors!) High quality fixtures and fittings - the only one small issue we had was the security light directly outside the second bedroom window was very bright and would go off during the night lighting up the room, it just needs a blackout blind. Other than that perfect - would highly recommend. This was our second stay with Carbis Bay Holidays and we’ll be booking again for next year. Thank you!

Spacious and well thought out apartment.

Location had great sea views. Local train into St Ives. Everything you need in the apartment and a welcome bag of goodies. Had a lovely time here. Highly recommended for both area and apartment.

Stripping own beds and having to be out by 9am is poor. 10am and stripping beds would be fine.

This apartment is very well appointed, practically furnished and is an excellent location for a memorable holiday. We have stayed in the apartment for several years and it is always prepared to the highest standards by the Housekeeper. At the end of each week they completed a perfect bed linen change, and she is always more than willing to provide good information about local restaurants, supermarkets and places to visit. We will return in both June and September 2022. Points of Concern. Once again the fridge was always wet inside and required to be mopped out, twice every day. The temperature in the fridge is not as cold as it could be. The sink in the shower room only slowly drains and it needs some attention. The kettle clicks off sometimes before it boils and there are quite a few bulb outages. I suggest that since the rental costs are high that either the Owners, or Sykes Holidays Maintenance Team, look at these issues immediately to provide better value.

Got to be the best view of Carbis Bay and St Ives. The welcome touches were very nice.

Our Housekeeper, Hayley McGiff, prepared the apartment to the highest standard.

Hayley organised our weekly linen changes superbly and she also provided excellent information about places to visit, local restaurants and supermarkets in the area. We have stayed at this excellent apartment on numerous occasions and we have already booked to return at least twice in 2022. The only issue we encountered is the persistent, on going problem with access to the internet. I think this needs to be resolved in order for the comfort of all visitors.

It was wonderful to stay in a holiday property in which everything was in full working order as this has not always been the case during many other stays with different companies in Carbis Bay.

We appreciated the little extras such as the champagne and bakery vouchers.The position of the apartment was perfect giving us fantastic sea views and easy access to the coast path and beach. It felt almost like staying in a high class hotel!

I am concerned about the refund of my security refund and when it will be made.

As regards the holiday our housekeeper, Hayley McGiff, was absolutely great. She provided valuable advice and organised our linen changes so well.

On arrival after a long journey we were met by the lovely Hayley who took us through everything and made us feel right at home straight away. The apartment was beautiful; so cosy, the view stunning, it had everything that we could have asked for and more. Location was perfect, only a short train ride took us into the delightful St. Ives, where there are extensive choice of locally owned restaurants and cafes, where we had lovely meals (recommend Madeleines for a crab sandwich and a pot of tea!)
