The Cottage is small but very comfortable and perfect for 2 + dog! Lovely walk straight from the garden gate.. Two things worth mentioning for dog owners is that the garden is fabulous but not enclosed so we had to tie Harry up or he would have been off to visit the neighbours! The little courtyard is enclosed but no fun for a dog! In season (May to September incl’) all the easy to get to (ie no steep climbs!) sandy beaches in the vicinity don’t allow dogs between 8am and 7pm - so we drove to Porthkidney Beach at Lelant near St Ives which is fab for dog walking and the beautiful Perranporth Beach which was wonderful to spend the day on and obviously dog friendly!

The property

Garden cottage is situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and historical interest within easy reach of the coast and sandy beaches.

Approached along a quiet lane with just three other cottages it sits in a peaceful setting with its own private garden and parking within the grounds of the owners home.

With lovely walks and historical sites on the doorstep, the cottage offers a comfortable base from which to explore the West Penwith peninsula's beautiful landscapes, wildlife and industrial heritage. All on one level, the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is light and bright, with exposed roof trusses and oak floors, looks out on to the garden.

The newly fitted shower room is spacious and modern, and a useful utility/boot room, is handy for wiping down muddy paws!

The sunny super king-size double bedroom has glazed doors to the enclosed, gravelled seating area, and there is a further large lawned garden to enjoy.

About the location

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
