    We were made to feel very welcome, and the 'welcoming pack' was amazing. Everything about the place was perfect - and our hosts were attentive without being at all intrusive. Some really nice touches, a map which showed the main towns and all the nearby attractions, places to eat, and local walks, all based on their personal experiences.So much more too.. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Mary Clare and Kim are terrific hosts, and the property is by far the best we've ever stayed at in Cornwall, bar none."

    We were greeted with a delicious cream tea (freshly baked scones, warm from the oven), wine, shortbread biscuits, and all the bits you need for a brew. The property is spotless, the facilities are comprehensive, and everything is very thoughtfully laid out. The views from the deck are magnificent and include cows! The location is very quiet and peaceful yet you can be in Bodmin in about 10 minutes. Brilliant hosts, brilliant property, if and when we return to Cornwall this is the place we'll be aiming for.

  • "Higher Kernick view is a brilliant example of what you get when the owners put their heart and soul into giving you a relaxing, easy, stress free holiday."

    The property is beautifully laid out with plenty of room and just about every amenity you would need for a very comfortable stay. It is very quiet and easy to get to in a convenient location for travelling to any part of Cornwall. A very comfortable king size bed and large walk in shower onsuite make it feel very luxurious. One of the best places we have stayed and we'll definitely be coming back on our next holiday to Cornwall.

  • "From the delicious home baked cream tea on arrival to finding the apartment exceptionally clean and well furnished we realised this was going to be a fantastic place to spend our holiday."

    Marie-Claire and Kim are lovely hosts, giving a warm welcome. The location is perfect, just off the A30 near Bodmin allowing visits to most parts of Cornwall. There is a lovely view from the sofa in front of French doors and we spent many hours there just sat relaxing.

    The apartment is very well designed, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated and has everything that one could need. Mary-Claire and Kim are wonderful hosts. I was greeted with the most delicious scones, fresh and hot from the oven and enjoyed my Cornish cream tea on the balcony, listening to the birds and feeling the tension drop away.   • "Outstanding accommodation in the Cornish Country Side."

    The owners are brilliant providing those little extras that mean a lot. They are there when you need them and invisible when you don’t so you can just get on with being on holiday. Location is very peaceful but gives easy access to both South and North coasts. If we are in Cornwall again we would definitely try and stay here.

  • "This is the most perfect location for getting away from it all and enjoying some peace and quiet."

    The accommodation was spotless, tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. The views over the countryside from the large window are amazing even on a rainy day and watching sunsets from the balcony was an added bonus. The hosts were fabulous and we felt very welcome, the scones and wine provided made it even more special. All in all, it was a perfect holiday and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

Higher Kernick View, a contemporary first-floor apartment, is located near the picturesque village of Helland in Cornwall, just north of Blisland.

Higher Kernick View is ideal for couples who wish to be close to the stunning Bodmin Moor and take in the wide-open rural views, while still being close to the seaside.

To get to your holiday flat, park your car in the off-road parking spot and walk along the garden path.

On the ground level, there is a utility room with a washer and dryer.

On the first floor, you'll find an open-plan living area where you can prepare delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy them at the breakfast bar for two or on your private balcony with stunning countryside views.

Take a seat on the plush sofa in the sitting area after supper and enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV.

For your convenience, a cloakroom is accessible farther along the property's corridor.

The king-sized bedroom has a Smart TV, a bookcase, and a stylish en-suite shower room with underfloor heating, perfect for getting ready in style!

Take a short journey to Blisland, where you can stock up on supplies at the Blisland Village Shop or indulge in a well-earned dinner at the Blisland Inn.

The majestic Tors, the world-renowned Cheesewring, and Alpaca Trekking are all within easy reach from this central location, as are the lovely walking and cycling routes of Bodmin Moor.

Both the north and south coasts are easily accessible, with half-hour drives taking you to some of Cornwall's most spectacular beaches and coastal panoramic views.

Follow in the footsteps of Poldark by visiting the scenic Charlestown on the south coast, with a possible diversion to the delightful maritime village of Mevagissey.

Any beach lover should spend a day at the beach in the popular resort of Polzeath, where they can soak up the sun, go surfing, and enjoy delicious fish and chips with the sand between their toes.

The village also has Cracking Crab and The Waterfront, two of the area's most prominent seafood restaurants.

Further up the coast is Tintagel, with its majestic castle, National Trust property of the Old Post Office, and, of course, its thrilling footbridge.

Nearby attractions include Cardinham Woods, Bodmin Keep and Jail, and the Bodmin Town Museum.

Why not walk or ride along the Camel Trail, which is only 5 minutes away from Higher Kernick View, or cycle all the way to Wadebridge or Padstow and take in the spectacular views?

Bodmin 5.7 miles; Wadebridge 8.4 miles; Polzeath 13.2 miles; Tintagel 13.8 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Fowey 17.2 miles.

Situated under the western edge of granite-bound Bodmin Moor, the village of Blisland retains its age old character and is the only village in Cornwall to have a village green with trees. Around the green, cluster old houses and cottages, as well as the famous, award-winning Blisland Inn. The village is located less than three miles from the A30, and so provides an ideal central location for touring Cornwall. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. The route is completely traffic-free and perfect for walkers and cyclists. You can even explore the trail on horseback and a purpose-built hide has been constructed between Wadebridge and Padstow, so even birdwatchers are catered for! Pull on your walking boots and explore Bodmin Moor, or venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beautiful beaches that stretch along Cornwall’s northern coastline.
