  • "Disappointed by lack of view over Mounts Bay when seated."

Understand why but brochure gave impression it would be as photo. Presence of rats behind property, around bin area, needs attention.

  • "Excellent stay."

Very clean and comfortable. Patio door was really difficult to open and close. Could do with pair of scissors in the kitchen. Would have been nice to have the layout the opposite way round so the settee was facing the patio to be able to sit and enjoy the view. No parking permits to put in the car. Was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Will definitely be back

Had the price not have increased by nearly £500 we would have returned next year. Cannot fault Sykes...our go to for booking staycations.

Clean on arrival, some minor issues (not with cleaning) need addressing, the patio door is hard to open, the bath had a very damp smell, when sitting in the bath, this did not Distract from our holiday

Thank you for your feedback, your comments have been taken on board. The sea air tens to play havoc with the hinges and locks on the patio doors and windows. Our maintenance man keeps an eye on these on a regular basis. Property Owner

It's basic, but comfortable. We've been here several times before and this was the cleanest it's ever been. There are a few small maintenance problems, the toilet seat is loose, the rail the shower goes on, comes off in your hand, one of the dining chairs has a loose back, and one of the keys which is for the patio door is bent and won't lock/unlock it. Not the privatest outdoor space. Would come again, but it would have to be out of season as the price for the same week next year has gone up 25%!

Back of property was a train line with fairly frequent use but not close enough to cause major issue. Welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar & biscuits, milk in fridge & some cleaning products was a lovely surprise. Instructions for cooker, microwave & washing machine would be useful. Would also like hand towel in kitchen & a couple of extra smaller towels for the bathroom. Small problem with toilet, reported by previous guests was quickly sorted. Patio doors still need attention & WiFi would be really helpful. Overall happy with our stay.

  • "The location of the cottage is perfect being a short walk into Marazion and about 45mins into Penzance."

A great base to explore that part of Cornwall. The lack of wi-fi was a surprise although when I checked, it isn't mentioned in the description but in 2021 it's not the sort of thing I thought I needed to check ! The cottage itself is as described and functional but there's a serious issue with the sliding patio doors. It was a daily battle to open and close them and these need urgent attention. It really wasn't good enough that these were almost unusable and clearly they have been in this condition for a while. If it hadn't been for the security issue we would have given up and left them unlocked. Owners....urgent attention required here, don't leave it for the next guests to endure !

  • "Extremely disappointed that there was no WiFi ."

The information folder in the cottage stated Jordan's cafe at the end of the row had WiFi, wrong it does not do Wi-Fi. We had to go to McDonald's every day, buy 2 coffees just to get on line. In this day and age everywhere needs WiFi and because of the present Covid 19 pandemic, every tourist attraction had to be booked ONLINE !! Cleanliness of the cottage. When we arrived the first thing that hit us was the filthy Windows. Not appealing when you just arrive. We are aware that the outside cannot be helped because of the sea spray etc, but the inside were worse than the outside. We took photos of cobwebs on the frames of the Windows, if you wish to see them. There was also cobwebs on the inside of the front door. The bin in the bathroom was rusted all on the lid. Not nice to see when it can so easily be replaced. A green plastic tumbler was filthy with what looked like toothpaste?? I also have photos of that. Is there not a change of sheets/ towels for the second week ? The picture in the brochure does nothing tell you that when you are sitting down in the lounge, all you see is a brick wall. No beach. If not arriving till 5pm for deep cleaning, they should be ashamed of themselves.

! There was a flower bed out side the front of the property with no flowers in at all !! I nearly planted some ...if it had been cared for would have set the property off nicely. Very over priced although it was high season.

  • "Firstly, there was no WiFi in the property."

.We were told by the Cleaners that there is only one property on the site that has this facility!..so having carted my Laptop down to Cornwall I was disappointed. Secondly there were no Dvds in the property as advertised, but there was a DVD player.[which would have been nice as the weather wasnt good!] Thirdly, There was a TV in the property, but it was a basic freeview set with no catch up facility Fourthly..There was a very good Intempo fm radio in the property and reception was good[this wasnt listed] Fifthly..The Electric Toaster was very temperamental, sometimes it worked often it didnt[the cleaner told us that it was almost new] Finally, the plates and dishes were barely adequate, and there were only two dishes which could be used in the oven..not everyone can afford to eat out every day, please bear this in mind. The seals on the double glazing need replacing, even when everything was shut, there was a real gale blowing through some of them, being close to the sea it was very windy at times, otherwise the Heating and Hot water were excellent..Pity that a few things that are easily remedied made a difference to our enjoyment of a very nice property

..…..welcome jam scones, tea, coffee, milk sugar. With having a 6 month old baby with us, space was restricted so this was extremely helpful. Location was perfect to sight see and visit other towns, although the pub was next but one, no noise or nuisance what so ever. Coastal walk was great into Penzance (2 miles) you couldn't get lost and was lovely to walk in the sunshine and feel safe with no traffic.

  • "Comfortable accommodation in a lovely location."

This was our second stay. Just a few small things to mention, there wasn't enough side plates or cutlery, only one glass for a long drink but far too many wine glasses. The table covering was dirty with food stuck to it, the floors could do with a good mopping and the bathroom could have been cleaner, all of which could soon be rectified and would not stop me coming back again. The most annoying thing was the dog in the next door bungalow, which barked at us every time we went out of the patio door, which we didn't want when on holiday.

We only had one cereal dish two pasta bowls and a small square dish two side plates and two knives and forks one highball glass and the washing up bowl has seen better days. I understand that the cottage is for Two but as there were six mugs and four dinner plates and more than two teaspoons and dessert spoons nine wine glasses and at least 6 small tumblers it seemed a little uneven. The sliding door could do with some attention as we could not open it. On a positive note It was very clean when we went in and we were very impressed with the refurbishments and of course the spectacular views from the windows.

The location is perfect and the cottage is very well equipped, except for a shortage of knives and side plates!! Although it's a two person accommodation I think a little more thanjust two kives/plates would be helpful. I was sorry there was no visitor's book as I would like to have written in one (positive comments). I shall certainly re visit this property and I did recommend it to someone I met walking over to St Michael's Mount. I was generally very comfortable in Sea Breeze.

Just a couple of minor things to mention which hopefully will help: There were 2 cracked glasses on arrival and there were only 2 knives, although there were 4 forks. Also, in Seabreeze the boiler is situated somewhere above the bedroom so is very noisy at night - not much you can do about that I suppose but just thought I'd mention it! We'll definitely be back! Lois Cooper

Thank you for your feedback we really do appreciate your comments. I am disappointed with the lack of inventory items during your stay, this has now been rectified. The boiler has not been mentioned previously but we will look into it. We have also upgraded furniture since your visit adding a new sofa, coffee table, lamps, pictures and soft furnishings. We look forward to your return. Property Owner

No frying pan or oven tray, there were three saucepan lids only one fitted the two saucepans. If you're self catering you do expect to be able to cook breakfast at least. The bungalow is looking very tired, needs new flooring, new decorating, new beds, new sofas, needs a washer dryer so you can clean and dry your clothes. Full of ants and sand bugs all week. Front door wouldn't close unless locked, patio door was stiff and felt like it would come off when you tried to close it. Very disappointing and feel like I have paid far too much for sub standard accommodation. Wont stay there again.
