“5 stars for the Star House”

We just had THE most amazing week! ...

We just had THE most amazing week! The Star House is incredible and definitely the best house we’ve ever stayed in. It’s the little things that really make a huge difference, the fresh flowers and wine on arrival, the shelf of children’s books next to the bunk beds, and for me the well stocked kitchen/utility room. There was everything you could think of, as I have often been out and bought pans, knives, etc when we’ve found the places don’t have them. The setting is stunning, we bagsied the room with a view, and what an amazing view it is. We sat in the sunshine at breakfast when the weather was fab and laughed at the people wading waist deep back from the castle when the tide came in. There is plenty to do and visit, whether you want to paddle board or kayak around the mount, visit the local beautiful beaches and castles, shop in St Ives or go to the Minack Theatre for a bit of Shakespeare. You won’t be stuck for something to do. You’ll be spoiled for choice with food too. We ventured into Penzance for a Thai, which was really good and into Porthleven to Rick Stein’s Restaurant which was amazing. There is a Philps pasty shop right on the door step, fish and chips and a few really nice pubs and cafés. The owners in the seaside gift shop (Morva) below were lovely and very helpful when we needed travel or sightseeing advice. You get 10% off when you shop there too, which was lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean and really beautifully done out. We could have stayed forever. A real home from home. We will (fingers crossed) be back again one day soon. Thank you.
