  • "We had a brilliant holiday at PepperPots."

Everything was perfect just sorry we couldn't stop longer. The house was beautifully laid out. Perfect. The views were to die for. We did have 1 problem with a chair on the patio. But I rang Claire to report it. We actually met Claire the next day when we were leaving. Lovely lady. We left the house as clean as it was when we arrived. A huge THANK YOU and we will be back. We couldn't fault anything

Yay! Our first review since the refurb. So pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for mentioning Claire- we are very lucky to have her and Sarah onboard for housekeeping. Looking forward to you coming to visit again. Please let us know if we can help with any planning for local activities etc. Best wishes. Property Owner

  • "The house was very clean and comfortable."

There was milk tea, coffee, sugar and a lovely cake sugar waiting for us when we arrived. I had my elderly Mum with us and she was very happy in the downstairs bedroom with all bathroom facilities nearby. Stairs are open tread which dissuaded the dog to go up. Which may be a good thing! Not that it made any difference to us, but there were a lot of steps and steep hills to get to the beach. Mum she struggled a little getting to and from the village unless we took her in the car. We had a great holiday. Thank you.

  • "We absolutely loved this property and the location ."

The house was so tastefully furnished and comfortable , the retro 60/70s feel of it was appreciated by all ages. The layout of rooms and size of accommodation was perfect . They had thought of everything and I can’t find one thing to criticise our stay .The outside spaces were enjoyable but weather wasn’t great enough to enjoy them . Staying at Pepperpots just made our holiday.

The property

Having undergone a complete renovation in May 2022 those lucky enough to book are bound to be delighted by this stylish contemporary coastal retreat that sits atop the cliff overlooking the sea at fabulous Mawgan Porth.

Just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful sandy beach, perfect for surfing, or maybe grab a coffee or lunch in one of the cafes or restaurants that sit next to the beach.

5 miles from Newquay, Cornwall's surfing capital and just a 20 minute drive to Padstow.

The famous Bedruthan Hotel on the doorstep makes Pepperpots a fine choice for a beach holiday any time of the year.

With a fabulous open plan design the kitchen opens into the dining area with its patio doors to a south facing patio.

Relax in the main living room with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day or wander out through the patio doors onto the main terrace with sea views, hot tub and outside dining area.

Two loungers are perfect for soaking up the summer sun.

The newly fitted kitchen is well equipped, off which you'll find a useful utility room.

A large, separate TV room with DVD player allows the family to spread out and enjoy freedom of space.

Two ground floor bedrooms, a king size room with sea views and twin share a sparkling new shower room.

Stairs leads to two further spacious bedrooms, a king size room with sea view and French doors that lead onto the first floor balcony with its fabulous seating area in which to watch the sunset over the beach.

The twin room has views over countryside.

These share a smart bathroom, with a bath with shower over.

Outside the main garden with hot tub, deck and dining space for alfresco dining.

The rear patio has a useful drying area for wetsuits and provides storing for beach equipment.

Mawgan Porth lies between Watergate Bay and Padstow, a lesser known cove than the busy beaches in Newquay.

It sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty and its sheltered beach is flanked by tall granite cliffs.

As with all the beaches in the area it's popular for its Atlantic rollers and ranked high among Cornwall's top surfing destinations.
