  • "A custom built chalet on Meg and Anthony’s farm."

On arrival we were met by Meg who showed us round. We were greeted with a welcome pack including milk and treats for the dog. The property has been built, furnished and decorated to a high standard, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, warm, very well equipped with plenty of towels and immaculate bed linen all of which were very good quality. The bed was very comfortable, the central heating and hot water were in our control and there is a log burner which was laid ready for lighting with plenty of fuel, if needed. Hosts were friendly and available if needed but were totally unobtrusive. Would highly recommend this holiday home!

It is an ideal location for visiting the Cornish coast, Helston is 15 minutes away, Falmouth is 20 minutes away and there is a fantastic pub just 5 minutes down the lane that do amazing food with a nice atmosphere! The field that comes with the property was perfect for our dog to run around giving her plenty of exercise. We had a beautiful welcome cream tea and a bottle of wine. The hosts were lovely people and nothing was too much too. I would definitely recommend this property and we are definitely looking to go again at some point next year!

  • "Lovely lodge in a very quiet location."

My only niggle was a lack of storage space for food in the kitchen. The owners, Meg & Anthony, were very friendly but not intrusive. I had a very interesting guided tour of the farm, and I was able to impart my farming knowledge I had gained by watching Clarkson's Farm, which I am sure Anthony appreciated. Great location for visiting all the attractions. I would highly recommend the local pub, The Star Inn.

It has been built to a very high standard of finish with minute attention to detail. All fixtures, fittings, furniture, linen etc are top notch quality and the log burner keeps the lodge toastie. The weather was pouring and blowing a gale during my stay, just as I like it, the lodge was the cosiest place, and for me, preferable even to a well equipped cottage. Only regret.....should have booked that second week. Doh. Thanks Meg

There was also a lovely surprise waiting for us, a bottle of wine, scones, jam and cream. The lodge was beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and also a log burner. It is an ideal romantic lodge for two, although it is on a working farm, so there was some noise from the cows. We have been staying at various locations for over 20 years and this one we did enjoy for our short break. Falmouth and Penzance are also within easy reach of the Lodge.
