Strongly recommend this house. Reviewed by ElizabethApr 2022 "We had a lovely relaxing week at Goshen Farm." The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It’s large bright and airy rooms were lovely and nice to see some period features had been kept. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and a lovely treat, it even included treats for our dog, very thoughtful. The location is so peaceful and only a short drive to some of the coastal towns. We enjoyed our cliff top walks taking in the magnificent views and some of Cornwalls mining history. A wonderful holiday thank you. It's such a lovely place, really comfortable, very beautiful surroundings and a great location to visit all over Cornwall. The hosts were really accommodating and we will definitely come back! Thank you x Reviewed by HollyApr 2021 "We went to Cornwall with our adult children expecting to do so surfing, unfortunately in October the weather is not always reliable and there was a red flag on the beach every day of the holiday." Nevertheless we had a great time in Goshen Farm and surrounding areas. The house is very well located and very welcoming and cosy, great place to come back to after a long walk. Very well equipped, luminous and spacious. We highly recommend this lovely farm and hope we can go back sometime soon. Reviewed by IreneOct 2020 "Goshen Farm was one of the best properties we have stayed in." Extremely comfortable and well equiped, and 6 adults did not feel overcrowded at all. The House is in a lovely quiet spot and perfect location for exploring the whole of Cornwall. Would definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet. Reviewed by SarahAug 2020 "The cottage was in a lovely situation, but was not quite as we had expected from the description." It had a damp quality on entering; it was not nearly as clean as it should have been and in comparison to other cottages, in which we have stayed. It was described as having two bathrooms and, while this was true objectively, the shower room downstairs was more of a cold cloakroom rather than a place where one would have wanted to strip down and wash. There was uncleaned mould all around the room. The cottage came on to the let market in around 2006 according to the information pack and not much appears to have changed since then. The duvets were old and "heavy" thus making sleep rather difficult. Fortunately, we were only four rather than six and staying there with six people would have been a bit of a squeeze. May I suggest that the washing line is moved to other side of the garden, where there is much more sun, as it spends most of the day in the shade. On a positive note, there was plenty of hot water and the bathroom upstairs was light and spacious with a good availability of clean large towels. The bedrooms were fine. The local area was lovely and the location of the house is fine for holidaying in this part of Cornwall. However, it is described as "a five-minute drive from the picturesque beach at Trevaunance Cove". It is actually a 2½ mile drive and takes a good 15 - 20 minutes along some narrow lanes, but the surrounding area is certainly worth visiting All of these issues can be easily overcome and, with greater attention, this cottage would give a better experience. We never saw or had any contact with the housekeeper. In our previous experiences, we have stayed in places, where there has been a private owner, who is interested to meet the guests and (i) be on hand to deal with any issues and (ii) give information on the locality. We were under the impression that this cottage is more under the control of a commercial company. Reviewed by Anthony BSep 2019 "Lovely cottage, very quiet and peaceful." Clean and comfortable. Reviewed by RebeccaAug 2019 "My family had a long weekend stay in this lovely cottage." The kitchen was like home from home and my boys made themselves very comfortable in the front room. We were greeted each morning and evening by the cows which by the end of the weekend we had named them all. If you want a very comfortable stay in a peaceful surrounding then this is the place for you, thank you for a great weekend.p.s. There is a good pub 5 minutes down the road which is walkable from the cottage just remember a torch to help you get home. Reviewed by HelenMay 2019 "This lovely cottage nestles in the countryside down a quiet lane near the village of St Agnes." Thoughtfully provided are maps and walking books on the local area and there are plenty of places to eat out. The house has everything you need for a ‘home from home’ experience including a welcome cream tea on arrival. Would definitely stay here again. Reviewed by KimMay 2019 "The cottage was in a fabulous location in terms of being close to tourist destinations and only a short drive away from the wonderful coastal walks around St Agnes Head." The facilities were good-it as also clean and comfortable. Reviewed by HelenMar 2018 "Overall a very enjoyable holiday in a house that was convenient for our family and reasonable for the time of year in terms of price." The house needs a thourough clean however, the carpets were dirty, we hovered as soon as we arrived, the sofas were dirty and the bathroom was covered in bugs, which again we cleaned up when we arrived. Appreciate the rural country location however there was also a problem with flies which was slightly off putting. The general comfort of the house is adequate and it was cosy but walls, skirting boards etc are scuffed and marked. The whole house needs a deep clean and redecoration in parts to keep it to a nice standard.
