Delightful cottage,well equipped, clean,comfy and helpful friendly owners.

Miners cottage was exceptional it was very clean plenty of room and everything you would need was provided absolute home from home

There is everything you need & more for a wonderful stay.

The cottage is extremely comfortable and very clean with a lot of thought given to provide everything you would need.

The garden area with table ,chairs and BBQ was a welcome addition. We would definitely choose to stay here again if in the area.

The hosts of this property are second to none.

The personal touches i.e. ice lollies and ice left in the freezer with milk for a cup of tea, along with a welcoming gift. The beds are so comfortable so a lovely nights sleep. The table for your meals in the conservatory and the garden BBQ are yours to use if you need. The cottage is so well equipped with what you need for a very comfortable stay. The location is also ideal to visit your favourite places.

We had a fantastic stay at Miners Cottage for one night while attending the Eden Sessions.

It was absolutely perfect for the four of us. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were greeted with a lovely welcome food hamper, which was a really thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Communication with our hosts was excellent from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Miners Cottage to anyone looking for a cosy, welcoming place to stay in the area.

A lovely clean, comfortable cottage.

Just a 20 min easy walk from train station,,which has good links to some lovely places in Cornwall. Local bus services were excellent. The cottage was in a good position to explore the delights of Cornwall. Our dog was made welcome and though the outside secure back yard was small there was access to a lovely dog walk nearby. We would love to revisit in the near future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A really well furnished cottage, and great location for exploring the coast.

Miners cottage is so well presented, clean & comfortable.

Absolutely everything you need or forgotten is there, the welcome basket is amazing & even the dogs are thought about. Nothing negative to say at all, just a shame our 9 days there had some of the most awful weather ever so couldn’t do 2 of the things we really wanted . Hosts really friendly & nothing too much trouble. Ideally placed for shops, take out food & park for quick walks with dogs. 5 stars no hesitation .

The Cottage was spotless and superbly equipped with everything you would need for a stay. Sonia was so welcoming and was always available if needed. Couldn't recommend more.

Miners Cottage is an absolute delight.

It is cosy and comfortable with lots of homely touches. A couple of things that stood out was the lovely welcome basket that was supplied and the flowers in the kitchen window. The owners had put in effort and thought to make our stay memorable. Sonia is friendly and always on hand should you require anything and offers plenty of information regarding the area.

Everything you needed and more was in the cottage, very well equipped kitchen which was like moving from home to home, the welcome basket was lovely, Sonia and Paul were lovely couple.

Myself I found the bed was a little hard for me and the stairs a bit deep as I have sciatica at the moment, very well situated for a chippy, Aldi right opposite, and a laundromat near the chippy, also a lovely pub 4 minutes walk

I can highly recommend the Miners Cottage in St.

Austell, Cornwall! My sister-in-law and I have just returned from a short 4-day break there, and we’ve had a lovely time. It is well appointed for getting around to other tourist destinations – the Lost Gardens of Heligan is only around 15 minutes away. The cottage was spotlessly clean and has everything you can think of that you’ll need – even treats for your 4-legged friends if you’re taking them. And a lovely extra was the welcome hamper awaiting us in the kitchen, including a bottle of wine! There’s also parking at the front, so everything is covered. Thank you very much Sonia and Paul.

Fantastic shower too! And we were provided with a very generous welcome box. Excellent base for lots of local attractions and an Aldi just opposite!

Had a lovely stay at miners cottage, it was well equipped with everything you could need and the welcome pack was a nice touch as well, the hosts were very nice as well making sure we settled in okay and if there was anything else we needed, lovely base to explore the rest of Cornwall.

A lovely cottage, extremely comfortable and well appointed, the property is run by a terrific couple for who nothing is to much trouble, a welcome letter in the kitchen when we arrived along with a bottle of wine and some food items, I cannot recommend enough.

Sonia is a lovely host with a gorgeous home.

She provided a comprehensive welcome pack, which included delicious scones, jam and clotted cream, bread, biscuits, and much more. All the home comforts, very clean, and all-round, a super stay. We had a lovely day out in Falmouth from St Austell by train and would recommend Sonia's home for a great base to explore Cornwall. Thank you Sonia.

Stunning cottage and spotlessly clean.

We arrived to a wonderful hamper which was a lovely surprise. It is very well equipped with oil, foil and all the things you usually forget. Charlestown was within walking distance for us and had great restaurants. Great base to travel Cornwall from. I’d thoroughly recommend

Just spent two weeks at Miners Cottage.

Sonia made us very welcome to this relaxing home. Miners Cottage is well located to explore Cornwall and has many beautiful pubs just a short distance away. Would highly recommend this property and it is very dog friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay in miner's cottage very relaxing and on arrival the cottage was clean and comfortable, plus all the extras left by Sonia helped you feel at home straight away, would recommend you see for yourself

Perfect stay , great location, cottage very well equipped.

Spotlessly clean. Only downside beds a little uncomfortable, could do with mattress toppers or new mattresses. No garden space for dog, but nice park down the rd. great stay all in all would highly recommend.

The owners of Miners Cottage live next door, my first concern on arriving was where to walk my dog first thing in the morning (dog and myself are a bit hyper at that time) -I was guided to such a lovely walk, no need for walking boots or lead (appx 30 mins walk).

The kitchen was stocked with 'things' I'd forgotten to bring, for e.g., kitchen foil and oil. Despite being off the main road, we did not hear any traffic noise during the night - the double glazing is really good. Comfy settees and help on hand - we were very pleased to have picked Miners Cottage.

Wow, this was the best Sykes property we have stayed in, everything you needed and more, great hosts.

Fully equipped kitchen, very comfy beds, luxury bathroom, dog catered for and spotlessly clean throughout. We were welcomed with an amazing hamper of goodies too, I would love to have stayed longer and will definitely return. I highly recommend this property.

An extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage in an ideal location for access to the Eden Project and Coastal Walks.

The cottage was beautifully presented, very comfortable and perfect for our needs.

Sonia was very helpful and friendly both before and during our stay. After we had left, she went out of her way to look for an item I thought I had left behind.

When we arrived at the Miner’s cottage there was a lovely card and a fabulous Cornish welcome pack, they had thought of everything, we couldn’t wait to try the Cornish scones, which were delicious.

We were so comfortable in the lovely home and there was safe off road parking. Thanks again, we had a really had an enjoyable time.

Had a fabulous week at Miner's Cottage where we went to celebrate my wife's birthday with our grown-up children and the dog.

The property was immaculate, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Easy off-road parking, close to shops and the perfect location for visiting Cornwall. I explained it was my wife's special birthday while we were away and Sonia was very helpful in decorating the house, providing vases for flowers and suggesting places for a meal. I would have no hesitation in recommending Miner's Cottage and it's hosts, to anyone.

What a lovely cottage and extremely friendly and helpful owners.

The information pack was great and full of useful things and the welcome hamper at the cottage was the best we have ever had. The cottage had everything you could need, off-road parking, a large porch for coats, boots and a damp dog coat !, a really well appointed kitchen, a super comfortable lounge, very comfy beds and a great shower. The owners are clearly proud of the cottage and it certainly shows. Aldi is just across the road, there is a pub about 5 minutes down the hill one way and another one 10 minutes down the other hill. There is a really nice park for dog walks in the morning that is also just a short distance away. It is a great base for visiting this beautiful part of the world with Charlestown, Fowey, Pinetum, The Lost Gardens of Heligan all basically on your doorstep. A super place to stay.

Hosts were faultless and really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and help with any queries we had.

You can tell that the property is well looked after, avsolutely spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully throughout. Beds were comfortable, kitchen is nicer than my own, and the bathroom, while small, is cleverly laid out to make best use of the space. The property is on one of the busier roads but we didn't hear any traffic while there at all. I'd definitely return and would recommend!

What an excellent location to stay to explore Cornwall .

Convenient position for shopping for necessities. Owner has thought of everything to make a holiday stay the most comfortable .. nothing was in short supply even for a family of four . Linen was all beautifully clean and smelt fresh throughout our stay . Would definitely recommend to others and stay again .

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage.

Sonia was welcoming and informative and there was everything we needed and more. Clean and cosy, especially the electric arm chairs! Ideally located for exploring Cornwall. Newquay and Padstow were a 30 minute drive and Falmouth sea front was 45 minutes. We walked to Charlestown with our dog and had a lovely couple of hours there. Very handy having Aldi opposite and we were welcomed by the people in the local Pub. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Miner's Cottage was beautifully clean and well presented.

The kitchen had lovely crockery, glassware, cutlery and pans. There was every gadget and appliance you will need. The lounge was very comfortable and the conservatory a delightful place in which to eat. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom was small but has a super shower. One small negative - my 88 year old sister found the stairs a little difficult. A handrail would have been useful. We had a wonderful stay. Many thanks to Sonia and Paul.

Access to property was very easy.

Contacted by owner to ensure everything was ok. Nice touch that essentials provided for your arrival. Lovely cottage, clean and tidy, well laid out and everything you can think of provided. Good Location for visiting Cornwall:- St Michael Mount, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charlestown, Truro, Mevagissey, Fowey and Polperro. Plenty to fill your day or longer. Wonderful place to return after a full day out.
