"Woodbine Cottage is a lovely house which has been renovated to a high standard."
Situated in the centre of the village just yards from the quayside on Mylor Creek, the property is comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. Whilst we did encounter an issue during our stay, the owners were immediately attentive and on the case in resolving it for us - great customer service and clearly a couple who really care about both the property and their guests. The village has several good shops including a grocery store, butchers and post office/newsagents. There is also an excellent food pub and cafe. A lovely stay and we hope to return.
Dear Matt and family,
Many thanks for the lovely feedback. It’s good to know you had a great stay at Woodbine Cottage and so useful to have the information to help other guests. We are thrilled you had a good holiday and very much hope to welcome you back again soon.
Best wishes,

"Thank you for a lovely stay."
The property was perfect and well provisioned and positioned. There was everything that we needed and we had a fantastic time.
The only problem was that the mattresses were all incredibly uncomfortable and I had to sleep on the floor. I did wash the bedding in case that unduly dirtied it.
The children found some epilepsy medication on the floor so we left it on the windowsill in the kitchen.
I would certainly come back if the mattress issue was resolved.
It was lovely.

Thank you for the feedback and glad you all had a good time…Important that we respond to your comments. In respect of the mattresses - we are sorry you personally found them uncomfortable but this is the first time that issues with the mattresses have been raised. We have had several lettings since and received positive feedback.
We use a local property management company to clean Woodbine when we are not in the area and passed this feedback to the company for a response. We assume the medication has been left by previous guests and it should have been picked up by their supervisory check. We contacted our property management agents for investigation and their comment is copied below:-
We pride ourselves on having very high standards and 5 star reviews. We can only apologise that the single pill was missed during the changeover clean, however it was subsequently retrieved and disposed of.
We would encourage all guests to report any concerns whilst they are still at Woodbine Cottage so we have an opportunity to correct any issues such as contacting our housekeeper.
We send a message to all our guests when they are at the cottage to check that all is ok as we did with your party.
Best Wishes
Sally & Adrian

"The property was cosy, spacious, had everything we needed and in the most perfect location."
It had been recently extended at the front and all the furnishings were so lovely. We left something behind and the owners were so helpful and attentive in ensuring we could get it back. Thank you so much and if we’re ever down again we will definitely stay here! All round a great experience.
That’s super feedback thank you and glad you enjoyed the new oak framed garden room. Always happy to help out when guests have left items - easy to put right. All the best, Sally & Adrian

"Only small issue is no locks on bathroom doors and wedges only work on inward opening door on main bathroom."
That said, not really a problem ( I have no locks on my bathroom doors either). Otherwise, we all thought it was the best accommodation of the many we have stayed in and very useful for nearby pub and bus stop into Falmouth.
Hi, thanks for the excellent feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. All noted re locks, we purposely don’t put locks on the old ledge & braced oak bathroom doors as we don’t want any issues with children unfamiliar to the property locking themselves in. It’s a balance letting your property to try and get it right for everyone but we do really appreciate the feedback. Best Regards, Sally & Adrian

"Excellent property in charming village ."
Good secure outside area for a dog was appreciated. We were a party of 6 covering 3 generations and everyone enjoyed the house but maybe the 3 bathrooms could benefit from a lock of some sort.
Great for walks along the coast and cross country to the Pandora Inn!
Falmouth just a 15 minute drive away.
Thank you for the lovely feedback we are so pleased you enjoyed staying at the cottage. Thanks Sally and Adrian

"It was such a pleasure to stay in this beautiful cottage which strikes a perfect balance between Cornish rustic charm and modern comfort."
It was clear there was much thought, love and consideration that went in to how the house is laid out to create a real ‘home from home’ for guests who we had the pleasure of meeting on our arrival. The location is superb with fantastic local amenities. Thank you for hosting us, we loved staying at Woodbine Cottage and hope to return some day.

"Born and bred in Falmouth, I have visited Cornwall many times over the
years and stayed in a lot of cottages and I must say Woodbine Cottage is
one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in."
Spacious with room for 8
people, the cottage has a nice balance of comfort and practicality. The
lounge/diner was cosy with plenty of seating for our party and the kitchen
was very well equipped. The 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 WCs,
were key in our decision to book the cottage. It was good to be able to
enter the cottage via the large utility room and to be able to remove dirty
outdoor clothing and use the handy downstairs bathroom before entering the
living areas.
There was plenty of off-road parking for our 2 cars and a lovely secluded
patio area with seating and a fire pit. On our arrival, the cottage was a
little cool, but the underfloor heating and panel heaters soon had it
lovely and warm. Regrettably, it was not cold enough to warrant firing up
the woodburning stove. Must come back in the winter and try it out.
The cottage is set in the beautiful village of Mylor Bridge which has
everything you could want. There is a lovely pub in the village serving
Cornish ales and an extensive menu. The village has two shops including a
post office, a butchers and a fresh fish shop. There is a large well
equipped play park for children of all ages.
The scenic walk from Mylor Bridge around the headland to Restronguet Creek
and the Pandora Inn with its floating jetty, is not to be missed. Close by,
the town of Falmouth offers a bustling town centre with plenty of
restaurants and shops. Falmouth has several good beaches. Pleasure boat
cruises on the Fal and Helford rivers are a great way to take in the
coastline. Within a short drive, you can access the world class visitor
attractions of The Eden Project, St Michaels Mount and The Lost gardens of
Heligan.
Despite the inclement weather, we managed to fit in a visit to the Eden
Project, a Fal river cruise, a walk to the Pandora Inn and several trips to
the beach. We had a great holiday and look forward to staying in Woodbine
Cottage again in the near future.
Thankyou for your feedback, we are delighted to receive such a lovely review from our first guests of Spring 2024.
