  • "We have just spent two weeks staying in Sea Holly cottage in St Just in the far west of Cornwall and what a beautiful holiday let it is."

There was only two of us and two dogs but the cottage is very spacious and would easily accommodate more. It has been tastefully modernised but sympathetic with the age of the property with lovely artwork and personal touches by the owners. The let is very well equipped, beds very comfortable and the bonus of a parking spot right outside which is very rare for Cornwall. There is also a very pretty front garden well maintained with chairs and table to sit and enjoy the Cornish sunshine. The position of the cottage means it is only a short walk, around 10 minutes, in to St Just with it’s many amenities or go the other way and it’s a stunning walk through fields down to Cape Cornwall where the views are amazing and The Little Wonder Cafe awaits with delicious drinks and homemade cake and savoury snacks. All in all it has just what you want from a holiday cottage and I hope that we come back in the future to stay again.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! We are glad you enjoyed your time at Sea Holly and we hope you can come back soon. Property Owner

  • "What a stunning cottage."

In a fabulous location, really beautifully restored and full of everything you could possibly need. We were three adults and three children and everyone had the best time. We have stayed in and around St Just many times over the years, but Sea Holly will now be our first port of call next time we visit.

The kitchen is very well equipped and the cottage nicely furnished. It had absolutely everything we needed. Location is perfect with the town a short walk away and Cape Cornwall a short stroll from the front door. We had the best week !!

The property

Sea Holly is a newly renovated traditional cottage with lovely sea views.

It is ideally located being a short walk both from Cape Cornwall and the center of St Just.

It boasts four bedrooms, an enclosed garden, off-road parking and a wood burning stove.

Blending characterful features with everyday comforts, it’s well-placed for exploring the wild beauty of West Cornwall.

Step inside to find a generous layout, beginning with a kitchen that’s equipped with a range oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The dining room sets the scene for lively meals and conversations, while the sitting room is made for unwinding in front of the woodburning stove after a day roaming the coast.

A utility room and two bathrooms, one downstairs with a walk-in shower and another upstairs with a bath and shower over, make life easy for groups.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms to choose from: a king-size, a double, and two singles, suiting a mix of family and friends.

The house has central hearing throughout with a combination of underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs, while outside an enclosed front garden with seating is a pleasant spot for a quiet coffee or an evening drink.

Off-road parking for two cars adds to the convenience.

Escape to the far west of Cornwall and discover the charm of St Just - a vibrant little town surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery, rich history and a warm Cornish welcome.

The town hosts a Co-op and range of independent shops to meet your every day needs.

Sea Holly is perfectly placed for exploring dramatic cliffs, golden sunsets and the famous mining heritage that inspired Poldark.

From here, you can stroll to cosy pubs, artisan shops and cafes, galleries, including the well-known Cornish painter, Kurt Jackson, or take a short walk to the South West Coast Path for unforgettable views of the dramatic UNESCO World Heritage coastline.

The National Trust’s Cape Cornwall headland is an easy walk from the cottage: a wonderful place to drink in beautiful sunsets, spot seals or even have a dip in the sea water pool at Priest’s Cove.

The Cape Cornwall Club is a five minute walk away and has a golf course, pool and gym facilities. There are many beaches just a short drive away: Sennen and Gwynver are wonderful sandy beaches making them great for families- Sennen has a surf school and Gwynver is dog-friendly all year round.

Also, on the door step are walks on the South Penwith moors dotted with their ancient stone antiquities, gardens such as Trengwainton and Trewidden planted with exotic plants suited to the mild Cornish climate and Lands End Airport offering day trips to the Isles of Scilly.

The nearby gems of St Ives, Penzance, Newlyn and St Michael’s Mount are all great days out from the cottage.

If it’s relaxation you are after, why not just spend time in the cottage garden or look out at the views from the cottage windows- on a clear day you can see as far as the Isles of Scilly.

With its mix of character and practicality, Sea Holly makes a memorable base for adventures in Cornwall.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast.
