  • "We had a lovely time again here, the location is perfect and the sea view is lovely."

It was great that previous feedback about having a second key for the property had been addressed. We have already booked for next year. However I see that dogs are now allowed to stay at the property and this was really evident in the amount of dog hairs over the rug in the sitting room; the vacuum cleaner was also very full of dog hair. I feel an extra charge should be added and extra cleaning done after a dog stays at the property.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. We do in fact add a supplement for any pets that are added to a booking and inform cleaners when we are expecting them in, we will report this back! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Hi, good time had by all."

..This was our 2nd time here, enjoy the location and house all good. My only thoughts to improve the lookout is to maybe rejig the bathrooms , position of loo and basin in downstairs. Upstairs a slimmer basin. Shower /bath room downstairs would also benefit from combi tap/shower attachment, as plastic one split as soon as put it on. The parking, I learned on last day, that there is space that can be used but this isn't mentioned in description of property? Many thanks , would stop again

Thank you for sharing feedback of The Lookout. We are delighted that you had an enjoyable holiday. Your comments can be viewed by the owner. Regarding parking, there is no allocated space but at the front of New Polzeath there are some 'first come, first served' spaces which you are referring to. We would love to welcome you back anytime in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The house is not clean, down stairs bathroom disgusting, sent photos, still waiting for a response from John Bray!"

I was told by the cleaners the owner would not pay for a deep clean which it needs badly.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you did not find the property to your liking on arrival. We did send cleaners and maintenance in to address the issues you raised as soon as we were aware and have been in constant communication with yourselves throughout and following your stay. There is also a deep spring clean booked for the end of June fresh and ready for the busy summer season. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property in New Polzeath with incredible, stunning views."

A pick of the bunch for our family of four + dog out of many we have stayed in over the years - would certainly return. We even tried to extend this stay by one night, but got told by Sykes not possible. (It was a shame that the dishwasher was faulty for majority of stay, even though replaced with a new one on our last day.)

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future! Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Very well appointed and appreciated the recarpeting and redecoration since the previous owner."

Location is ace. Please could the owners do something about the ventilation in the bathroom? The windows do not open and the extractor fan didn’t seem to make much difference leading to a damp smelling bathroom for most of the week. A second key would be helpful so that the house can be locked if some of the occupants are asleep but someone else wants to go out? You can’t lock the door as it’s not possible to unlock from inside without a key so it’s not safe to lock it (but also doesn’t feel that safe leaving the door unlocked whilst people are asleep!)

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays, we will take regarding the poor ventilation issue in the bathroom, each property should have a spare key inside as well as in the key safe outside so will look at this urgently. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Wif-Fi and vacuum cleaner didn't work."

Most of the windows wouldn't open and the fridge had to be set very low to avoid ice build up and food freezing. Great location and lovely view from kitchen and living room. No dedicated parking so best to avoid during peak season.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am sorry you had these difficulties whilst in the property. The owner has since replaced the fridge freezer to avoid this in the future. I am sorry the vacuum cleaner didn’t work, the handheld Dyson often needs it’s filter to be cleaned regularly, particularly due to the new carpets but there is another a Henry hoover downstairs in case as a spare. In terms of the wifi – the guests in at the weekend had no issues so we are sorry you struggled with it. A lot of the window mechanisms and locks have been replaced recently so may be taking some time to become workable. In terms of parking there is a reasonable car park 5 minutes, walk away which can be used as well should you struggle to walk. Thank you once again for taking the time to share this feedback it is extremely helpful, and we are glad that you enjoyed the view and the position of the property. The only small niggle being that we weren’t able to open windows most being sealed shut. Overall we had a fabulous stay and would definitely rent again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave you feedback. Its great to hear you had a lovely stay here. I have spoken to the maintenance team they have assured me the windows are not sealed shut but locked. We hope to invite you back to North Cornwall again soon. John Bray on behalf of the owner.
