  • "This is a fantastic property for its location."

Both The Gannel & Fistral beach within easy walking distance. Great walking for dogs. Views outstanding. Property very clean. Great evening entertainment with table tennis, carpet bowls & several games & cards. We got quite competitive. Only thing I would have liked would be a dishwasher.

  • "Had a great stay in your accommodation."

The only thing I would maybe suggest as we struggled massively with it. Is some clearer instructions on setting up the cot. The instructions in the bag are a little confusing! Apart from that loved the place and the location and table tennis was a bonus. Cheers

Many thanks for your feedback. So sorry that you had trouble with setting up the cot.I will have a look and write some clearer instructions if possible - kind regards. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property, beautiful location."

Well equipped. Everyone enjoyed their stay, no one wanted to leave. Will definitely be returning.

  • "Good views but a bit outdated especially furniture which is all mismatched."

I knew it did not have a dishwasher but it should have. Minor issues whilst there including leaking sinks, blown fuse and no spare light bulbs, one light switch cord disconnected. No bin bags and only about a third of a roll of kitchen towel left for use.

Many thanks for your feedback. I am so sorry that you encountered difficulties with no bin bags etc... We have recently had to change cleaners and this wasn't fed back to me so I will be looking into this. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our second stay at this bungalow with its amazing views."

However, there are many things that need updating and modernising to improve it, including replacing the misted up window in the main bedroom, and some better flooring in the kitchen. The bed in the main bedroom needs to be upgraded to a king size, and the second bedroom has little storage for clothes, so needs a wardrobe and drawers to replace the chairs and bookcase. The lounge would also benefit from some replacement comfortable seating.

Many thanks for your kind feedback and letting us know of suggestions for improvement which we will look into. We are on the waiting list for a local glazier too. The misted up panels have now been replaced. Property Owner

  • "Looking forward to staying again next year!"

! We've stayed at Fistral many times and this house was brilliant. It's location on Pentire headland has great views over the estuary, sunsets and sunrises included. Few minutes to access Fistral beach and the town. Spacious property and well equipped for families and surfers. Kitchen works well, hose outside for sandy feet and wetsuits. Extra fridge/freezer available. Garage space with table tennis and surf boards. Board games and books available. Large porch to dry the dog off. Off street parking for 3 cars, rare in Newquay. Quick response to get directions on obtaining hot water the first evening. Cutlery needs topping up now, dishwasher would be a bonus! Already planning our stay next year ☺️

  • "We had a lovely stay at the bungalow."

Lots of space and comfort. Thicker curtains would benefit the front bedrooms in the summer but this is only a minor thing. We made use of the extra fridge/freezer which was beneficial. The views were outstanding and the weather was fantastic. We would definitely return to this property. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "Fabulous space, much larger than the photos indicate."

We had everything we needed and the view was perfect. We come to Newquay regularly and have stayed on the Pentire a number of times and we were really happy with the accommodation, location and facilities. It was well equipped and some. Only have good things to say about it. Thank you very much Olwen, Paul, Harrie, Ashleigh and Rafferty ....

  • "We had a lovely week in Gwel An Mor."

The bungalow is spacious and has fantastic views. We enjoyed the table tennis and large selection of games. It is very convenient for walking into Newquay and Crantock. A dishwasher and larger TV would be good additions to the property and some modernisation. Overall though a great place to stay.

Thank-you for your lovely feedback. We have now installed a larger smart TV in the main room which we hope will make our guests stays more enjoyable. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely friendly-feeling holiday house to stay in – bright, spacious, and relaxing, with its big windows and comfortable seating maximising the benefit of its fabulous views."

Its well-thought out spaces are very well equipped, with great kitchen facilities, good hot showers and bath, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, an excellent table-tennis table, and a really nice well-tuned piano. We loved staying here and would highly recommend.

  • "Another wonderful stay."

The house is in an amazing location, has such beautiful views and an instant feeling of homeliness. The addition of a table-tennis table was a fantastic addition. Looking forward to returning again in the not too distant future.

  • "Absolutely lovely house, lots of space and everything you need."

The only point dropped was hubby's bed was too hard, but not a problem really! Were only working in the area, so hope to come back again.

  • "The lounge area was really large and spacious, however the TV was a very small screen, it really needed a 47 to 55" screen."

In the evenings when we did watch TV it was a struggle to read any wording on the TV. There were two other very minor points first a dishwasher although not essential would have been nice, also I do not think that carpeting of any kind is very hygienic in a bathroom. After saying all that we had a very enjoyable holiday, the views from the property were absolutely stunning, and although Newquay was not within reasonable walking distance there was a handy bus which was very regular every hour and a taxi was only £5/6. Will be looking for more Sykes properties for next year.

Many thanks for your feedback. The carpet in the bathroom has now been replaced with tiles which are more easily cleaned. Property Owner

  • "Lovely spacious property in the main well equipped and most certainly fantastic views."

Found the fridge too small for a party of 5 adults and the refuse bin equally too small. Otherwise a fantastic stay and we would definitely return in the future.

Many thanks for your feedback. There is now a large spacious fridge in the property in addition to a spare fridge and freezer to cater for larger groups of guests. The refuse company has now been changed, resulting in larger bins for both household waste and recycling. Property Owner
